Splendid Day Congratulations card

It’s AFL Grand Final day today in Melbourne at the ‘G’ and my team (Geelong) is playing for the Premiership, so I will be a nervous wreck this afternoon!

Anyway, I wanted to share this card with you, that has the gorgeous Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper. It has a pearlised look to it with gorgeous white embossed images. The piece I have used is Pool Party, but I feel it has more of a light green tone to it, like Soft Sea Foam.

Splendid Day & Hand Penned Petals card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Auatralia 2022

On a Thick Basic White card base, I cut a 4″ wide piece of DSP, scored at 1″ from the left. Fold on the scoreline to the front and adhere with Stampin’ Seal.  This gives you instant coordinating layers, as both sides of the paper are printed. Before gluing it to the card front, I placed some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon down the centre of the 1″ strip and adhered the ends on the back with Stampin’ Seal. Take another piece and tie a bow. Now this DSP can be adhered to the card front.

Splendid Day & Hand Penned Petals card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Auatralia 2022 close up

I cut a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies with Pool Party card stock. I placed some Adhesive Sheet to the back of some white card then used the floral image from the Penned Flower dies and ran it through my die cutting machine. The Adhesive Sheet acts like a sticker and is perfect for these more intricate dies and you don’t have glue oozing out. Remove the backing paper and place it onto the circle. Place dimensionals behind the circle and adhere to the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and cut it down to size with Paper Snips and added Mini dimensionals.  Another strip of the DSP is added to the inside of the card.

Week 39 – Real Red

Tonight’s card features the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle (Hand-Penned Petals stamp set & Penned Flowers dies) from the Annual catalogue.  I stamped this image four times (3 for the front and 1 inside) in Memento Black ink and coloured them using Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs (Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade).

My card base is Thick Basic White with a smaller layer dry embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I added a small strip of the All Together 6″x6″ DSP, and die cut the bottom with the scallop border die from the Penned Flowers dies.

The sentiment panel is cut with one of the Tasteful Labels dies and stamped in Black Memento ink. This sentiment is from the Catching Butterflies stamp set (Saleabration item which can be select for free with a $90 product order). Saleabration ends on 16 March in Australia. This panel is popped up on Dimensionals and a Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon bow is added with a Glue Dot and some of my favourite, Brushed Brass Butterflies Embellishments.

Layering Circles cards

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 19 – Gorgeous Grape

Today I have two cards using the Layering Circles Dies that I have been wanting to try for a while now. But let’s talk about this gorgeous purple tone and the colour combination I have chosen, inspired from the Hand-Penned Suite!

Colour Combination - Gorgeous Grape Blushing Bride Mint Macaron

By cutting the following Layering Circles Dies, two cards can be made:
1⅜” (1 x Grape, 1 x Macaron)
1⅞” (2 x Blushing Bride)
2⅜” (1 x Grape, 1 x Macaron)

Each of these circles are cut in half and then layered on top of each other to create these simple designs. This first card is put back together in a circle shape!

Layering Circles card 1 with Hand Penned for CCBH Gorgous Grape by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

Cover the join with a sentiment (stamped on Tasteful Labels dies) and some Gold & Mint Macaron ribbons. I also added some die cuts in Gold Shimmer Vellum to add for a little extra shine.

Layering Circles cards with Hand Penned for CCBH Gorgous Grape by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

My second card is pretty much the same, but I have offset the two half layered circles. I love the effect this gives and a totally different look.

Layering Circles card 2 with Hand Penned for CCBH Gorgous Grape by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

Add the sentiment across where the two halves join and I also added a stamped flower and ribbon bow.

and here is in inside of both cards, decorated with some patterned paper and gold vellum!

CCBH Garden Green – Unique Corner Punch Layout

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 18 – Garden Green

Tomorrow is the last chance to earn FREE product as the Saleabration period ends. Tonight I am using one of these products, the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, my favourite SAB item!

Be Dazzling Specialty Paper Saleabration 2021 Kate Morgan Australia

The Hand-Penned Petals Bundle and the coordinating Hand-Penned DSP have been favourite products from the 2021-22 Annual catalogue.

Unique Corner Punch Layout using Stampin Up Hand-Penned by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021 SAB

I started with a Thick Basic White Card base, 10.5cm x 28cm folded in half at 14cm. The next Garden Green layer is 13.5cm x 10cm.

The Hand-Penned DSP is 13cm x 9.5cm. Take the Label Me Lovely punch, and insert it into one corner of the DSP with the point meeting in the centre of the punch.

Label Me Lovely Punch

Now do the same on the opposite corner. Flip your punched designs over and place back where you punched them from. Now glue these to the Garden Green layer before decorating with a centre piece.

This is the largest of the Stitched So Sweetly dies with a Be Dazzling die cut from the Penned Flower dies. The sentiment, Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, is fussy cut and added with dimensionals.

Unique Corner Punch Layout using Stampin' Up Hand-Penned by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021 SAB close up

It was a difficult decision to decide which way to glue down my DSP design, so I repeated the process, but the opposite papers. So here is my second card.

Unique Corner Punch Layout using Stampin' Up Hand-Penned by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021 SAB

I decorated this one very similar to the first, but added some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and a different sentiment. This sentiment and the background image on the Garden Green die cut, are both from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.

The Be Dazzling leaves and scallop border are also from the coordinating dies.

Which one is your favourite?

Week 15 – Daffodil Delight

The Hand-Penned Petals Bundle is the focus of tonight’s card, along with the very pretty Hand-Penned DSP. As you can see my card base is Daffodil Delight.

Hand-Penned DSP

Inlay Technique Fancy Fold card using Hand-Penned Bundle for Daffodil Delight CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The Penned Flower dies which are part of this bundle, were used to die cut the floral images. The Gold Foil one is adhered behind the front panel and the Basic Black background adhered to the front of the panel. I die cut the intricate die in Basic White card, as well as Blushing Bride,Daffodil Delight & Gold Foil. I removed the inside pieces and placed them inside the white die cut for the inlay technique. I used my Blends Markers (Highland Heather, Mint Macaron), to colour the leaves and smaller flowers.

The Word Wishes dies are are used to cut the sentiment on the card front. I cut it multiple times, 4 times in Basic Black card and once in Gold Foil and glued them all together.

Stamp the floral image on the white panel with Daffodil Delight ink and the sentiment in Memento Black ink. You can place the white panel on the back or the inside of the card. I chose to glue it to the back to cover up where my panel joined the card base. The flowers have Wink of Stella on them for a gorgeous shine!

CCBH Cinnamon Cider – Post It Note Holder, matching Card and Envelope

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 11 – Cinnamon Cider

This week I have more Hand-Penned Petals Bundle projects, starting with a Post It Note Holder! These are great little gifts to have on hand to give to family and friends and Cinnamon Cider happens to be one of the colours in the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.

Hand-Penned DSP

Post It Note Holder using Hand-Penned Bundle for Cinnamon Cider CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The main image is stamped with Versamark, Gold Emboss Powder added and heat set with a Heat Tool. I coloured it with Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya & Cinnamon Cider. I also used the Colour Lifter to dot on the Cinnamon Cider bloom to give it a little extra texture. Then I die cut it using the coordinating Penned Flower Dies. Some Genial Gems are added as I always love some gems!

Post It Note Holder using Hand-Penned Bundle for Cinnamon Cider CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 side

4 pieces of DSP are placed on the front, the back and two on the inside; one under the post it notes and the other you can see below. A strip of Gold Metallic Specialty Paper is added to the front and inside panel.

Post It Note Holder using Hand-Penned Bundle for Cinnamon Cider CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 open

Basic Instructions
Cardstock – 7″ x 3¼”, score each end at 3¼” & 2 pieces 3¼” x ¾” for reinforcement.
DSP – 3″ x 3″ (4 pieces).
Ribbon – 10″ cut in half for the handles.

Card & Envelope – I started with a Thick White card base of 28cm x 10.5cm and fold in half at 14cm. The patterned paper layer measures 13.5cm x 10cm and is adhered with Multipurpose Glue.

Hand-Penned Bundle card & envelope for Cinnamon Cider CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

I die cut the two dies at once with Cinnamon Cider cardstock, as the intricate die fits neatly inside the border one. I also used the border die (usually to die cut the stamped image) with the Gold & Rose Gold 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper. I placed some Seal+ on the back and wrapped some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon across. Dimensionals were added and adhered to the cardbase. Glue the Cinnamon Cider border die cut onto the Gold die cut.

Hand-Penned Bundle card & envelope for Cinnamon Cider CCBH by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

Next I die cut the inticate die in Basic White card and used my Blends markers to colour the leaves and flowers. Glue this inside the border die cut. I also fussy cut some smaller flowers from another sheet of DSP and glued them to the card. I added some Genial Gems to the centres of the fussy cut flowers and on the DSP card base layer.

To finish, I added a strip of DSP inside the card and the Cinnamon Cider intricate die cut.

Then I needed to make a coordinating envelope using  single piece of 12″ x 6″ DSP. How cool is it to have coordinating items?!!!

CCBH Blushing Bride – Panel Tower Fold Card & more!

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

A blog hop, also known as blog hopping, is to move from one blog to another, continuing in a full circle to read all the posts by participants in the hop. At the end of each post will be a link to continue to the next blog!

Week 6 – Blushing Bride

Card 1 – I finally opened my pack of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper (on sale this month) and the Gold 6″x6″ Metallic Specialty Paper for this fancy fold card.

Panel Tower Fold Card using Hand-Penned Petals by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The image I initially stamped in Memento ink in the Stamparatus. I coloured it with Blends Combo Markers (Daffodil Delight & Mint Macaron), however they don’t come in Blushing Bride, so I used the stamp and Blushing Bride Inkpad to colour the main bloom and filled in the missing area with the Wink of Stella while the ink was still damp. Then I placed it back into the Stamparatus in the same position and inked the stamp with Versamark ink and stamped over the top of the Memento outline. Then I added Heat & Stick Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool. Next, add some Gilded Flakes and rub around with your finger to remove the excess before die cutting the image. Doesn’t it look gorgeous?!!!

Panel Tower Fold Card using Hand-Penned Petals by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 close up

The scallop squares are cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. These are rectangular, however once you cut one, I then placed the die partially over the rectangle to cut it down to a square!

Panel Tower Fold Card using Hand-Penned Petals by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 side

The back of the card is where you write your message to the recipient!

Panel Tower Fold Card using Hand-Penned Petals by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 back

Here is how it fits into the Very Vanilla C6 envelope for posting!

Panel Tower Fold Card using Hand-Penned Petals by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 envelope

I cased this idea from Samantha Clayton (Mixed Up Craft), but used different products and I altered my measurements so this card would fit into our Very Vanilla C6 envelope!

Basic Instructions
Misty Moonlight card base: 8¼” x 6”, score (landscape) at 1″, 2″, 3″ from each end.
Rotate 90° with edge of card at 1″ mark – cut from first scoreline to third scoreline only. Lift the blade and cut from the next scoreline down to the last scoreline only. Repeat this on the other side.
Blushing Bride cardstock: 4⅛” x ⅞” (2) and 5⅞” x ⅞” (2)
DSP layers: 4″ x ¾” (2) and 5¾” x ¾” (2)
Basic White cardstock for back: 5¾” x 2¼”
The folds can be worked out from the photo images above.

Card 2 – this card also uses similar products to the previous card, with the addition of this gorgeous Stitched Greenery Die used on the Basic Black layer. The patterned paper is cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies giving that pretty scallop edge and stitched border. I also used the smaller rectangle die in vellum (behind the flower).

Hand-Penned Bundle for Blushing Bride CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021 side

The banner is actually made of cardstock – I cut  2cm strip and folded it in half lengthwise and glued it, so I had the same design on both sides. Then I folded it in a ‘z’ and cut the ends as banners with my paper snips. The main floral image and the sentiment are stamped with Versamark ink, Heat & Stick Powder added and gently heat set this with the Heat Tool so the powder just melts, then add Gilded Leafing. Using a sponge dauber, gently rub in small circular motions to remove the excess gilding.

Using the Penned Flower dies to cut it out, I coloured the image with Water Painters and ink directly from the Soft Succulent, Blushing Bride & Pale Papaya inkpads.

Hand-Penned Bundle with Gilded Leafing for Blushing Bride CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

I repeated the process for the main image twice and placed the second one on the inside of the card, after I added some Soft Succulent ink with a Blending Brush.

Week 4 – Bermuda Bay

Both my cards today use the same colour combination but using different products!

Colour Combination - Bermuda Bay

Card 1 – This single layer card ins just stamping and a little bling, as you always need a little bling! This card uses the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and the Biggest Wish stamp set for the sentiment.

Hand-Penned Petals & Biggest Wish single layer card #simplestamping by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The images are stamped onto Basic White card layer. Once I finished stamping, I ran the edges of the card along the Night of Navy inkpad for an instant border. Glue this to the card base then finish off with some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Card 2 – I had a go at a Stained Glass Window Technique – simply using alcohol markers (Stampin’ Blends) to colour the back of the window sheet that has been stamped on the front with Stazon Black ink with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set! The card base has been embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.

The frame is die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies a few times and gluing them together for some depth. Then using some Foam Adhesive Strips to add space from the Shimmery White card behind.

Week 3 – Basic Gray

Tonight I am using the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle for this card, but I am not using the colours in the Designer Paper that coordinates in the suite. I have created my own colour combination and isn’t it super pretty?!!!

Colour Combination - Basic Gray

Card 1 – My card base, first layer and the die cut pieces are all Basic Gray card. The layer has those stripes across it and I created that by scoring every 2cm on my Trimmer with the scoring blade!

Once I had them done, I used the Basic Gray inkpad and ran it around the edges to get that depth of colour.

Hand-Penned Bundle for Basic Gray CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The main image is stamped (Hand-Penned Petals stamp set) in Basic Gray ink and filled in using the other coloured inkpads. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, white emboss powder added and heat set with the Heat Tool. This is fussy cut with Paper Snips and added to the card with dimensionals.

On the inside, I added another stamped image and die cut the top and bottom with that pretty scallop edge die in the same Penned Flowers Dies. To finish off I added some faux resin dots in coordinating colours that I made using a hole punch and Fine Tip Glue (allow to dry overnight on a Silicone Mat before adding to your card with Multipurpose Glue)!

Card 2 – Many of the products on this card are about to retire and are on sale! If you want to get these items, be quick, because once they are gone, they are gone. The Floating & Fluttering Bundle and this gorgeous Love You Always Specialty DSP are both heavily reduced in price.
