Farewell Purple Posy

With the new Annual catalogue launching on 4th May, we will say farewell to 5 InColors.

2019 - 2021 In Colours

Following on from Monday’s post, I am sharing my love with the Pansy Patch Bundle again. Purple Posy is a brilliant trio with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. You may notice some of the new In Colors too, in Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya!

I was inspired by the pansies that I have growing in pots in my outdoor area. I love the pops of colour these gorgeous, delicate blooms provide.

My card base is Gorgeous Grape, the layer is Purple Posy and the Layering Circles dies are Highland Heather. The white layer is cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

The large pansy is die cut from the three purples and a Pale Papaya centre. The smaller pansies are stamped in the Pale Papaya using the Stamparatus. The outline is stamped twice to get that lovely darker tone and the centre is stamped off once for a much lighter tone. The leaves are done the same way with Soft Succulent ink.

On the inside a single pansy is stamped and a small strip of Purple Posy card down the left side, with plenty of room to write a birthday message.

Pierced Blooms in Seaside Spray

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 45 – Seaside Spray

Seaside Spray is from the 2019-2021 In Color collection. It is one of my favourites and I am sure going to miss it when it retires on 3 May.

The Hydrangea Hill DSP is embossed with the Subtle 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and glued to a white card base. I die cut a variety of flowers and leaves using the Pierced Blooms dies in Seaside Spray, Soft Sea Foam and Purple Posy cardstock. The vellum layer is die cut using the Flowering Vine dies.

The sentiment panel is stamped (Beautiful Friendship stamp set) and die cut. After cutting, turn it over still in the die and run a stylus around the edge to give it that extra embossed edge. Fold some ribbon behind the sentiment and add some dimensionals at either end to adhere it to the card.

To finish, I added some Faux Resin dots, Rhinestone Jewels and Butterfly Gems.

Sneak Peek with Pansies Galour!

With the new Annual catalogue launching on 4th May, I thought I would share some sneak peek items to get you as excited as me. I am in love with the Pansy Patch Bundle, in fact the entire Pansy Petals Suite!

The designer paper has all of the new In Colors and more. You will also see the Basic Borders dies in use on each card – these are a must have item to add to your supplies – I just love them and know I will use them heaps.

Meet Pale Papaya and the gorgeous Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper. Each of these cards has a strip of DSP on the inside, which shows through to the fronts of the cards. The InColor ribbon is so beautiful, as are the InColor Jewels. The pansies on the front are cut from the DSP with the dies.

Vine Design Feminine card

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 44 – Sahara Sand

Sahara Sand is from the Neutrals collection.

I have used the very pretty Vine Design Bundle for my card tonight and teamed Sahara Sand with Rococo Rose and White. Rococo Rose is one of the outgoing InColors and I sure will miss it. How gorgeous does it look with Sahara Sand?!!!

I love to use a white card base, so I designed my card front onto a Rococo Rose A6 piece of card.

I die cut the large rectangle die (Flowering Vine Dies) in Sahara Sand and cut it in half so I could glue half at the top section of the card front and half at the bottom.

Vine Design Sahara Sand Feminine card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The leaves are stamped onto a piece of white card. I stamped the small flowers onto some scrap white card and die cut them with the coordinating dies, adding a small rhinestone to the centres.

I glued the stamped white layer onto some Rococo Rose card and then onto some Sahara Sand card to add some layers. Once these were glued together, I wrapped around some Rococo Rose scalloped trim at one end and tied in a knot. I added the edges from the dimensionals pack around the back and placed it in the centre of the card.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment, trimming off the left edge with Paper Snips so it could slide in under one of the flowers.

Each of the small flowers are added with a mini dimensional and I also added some of the cute Butterfly Gems that coordinate perfectly.

Monthly Creative Showcase: Mother’s Day

AWHT Creative Showcase

For tonight’s showcase, we are featuring Mother’s Day which is celebrated in Australia on 9th May!

Mother's Day card for Monthly Showcase, Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021

A Gorgeous Grape card base with some of the Hydrangea Hill DSP was the perfect start for my Mother’s Day card. I remember having Hydrangea’s in our garden growing up and these colours remind me of mum!

Gorgeous Grape Purple Posy Basic White

I stamped off the hydrangea image from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set (unfortunately it has sold out since I made this card) before stamping it onto Basic White card. Then I die cut the panel and used the stylus (from the Simply Scored) around the edges on the back while it was still in the die. This gives that beautiful embossed edge. Stamp the ‘you’ in the same ink at full strength. The butterflies are from the Floating & Fluttering Bundle and die cut in Purple Posy card. The Forever & Always Bundle has the dies to create the ‘love’ which is popped up on Black Dimensionals.

On the inside I added a 1″ strip of DSP down the side and some basic white card to write my message. I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and added some Purple Posy die cut flowers.

Love You Rococo Rose

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 42 – Rococo Rose

Rococo Rose is another one of the InColors which will sadly retire soon when the new Annual catalogue is released and 5 new InColors will be introduced. I really like this soft blush colour and it works beautifully with the colours I’ve used today.

Pierced Blooms Love You card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

I die cut many of the flowers with the Pierced Blooms dies in the various colours before working out exactly how I was going to put this card together. Once I had all the pieces, I thought it would look pretty cool in a wreath style, but as they are fairly large blooms, I needed to have a larger Thick Basic White square card (12.5cm²).

The flowers are placed on dimensionals and then I went back and added some foliage underneath.

The ‘Love You’ is from the Forever & Always Bundle. I stamped them in Rococo Rose on white card and die cut the ‘love’ with the coordinating die and the ‘You’ I just used paper snips.

You can see I added more of those cute Butterfly Gems and some Wink of Stella to the So Saffron die cuts for a little sparkle.

Rich Razzleberry Perennials

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 41 – Rich Razzleberry

Rich Razzleberry is from the Regals collection and a colour I used to use a lot of, but not so much recently. It was lovely to get it out again and get creative!

Today I went with the Pretty Perennials Bundle. This is my first time using these products and I thought they would look lovely in Rich RazzleberrySeaside SprayMisty Moonlight.

I began randomly stamping the background card in Rich Razzleberry ink for a lovely tone on tone effect. Then I took a 2″ strip of basic white card and used the thick brush from the Water Painters pack and watercoloured the stripes. Once it was dry, I cut it down to 1½” wide and glued it to the card front. The extra strip was glued inside the card!

Next, I stamped the flowers in various sizes and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I sat them on the card to see how I was going to place them. Once I was happy, I glued down some of the smaller ones, with the larger ones slightly layered over the top. The only one I popped up on a dimensional, was the large flower above the sentiment. The six leaves were also embossed in the Subtles TIEF and run through the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Seaside Spray card and fussy cut with Paper Snips. The happy is popped up on dimensionals. I also coloured the Basic Pearls with my Seaside Spray Dark Blends Marker.

Pierced Blooms on Painted Texture

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 39 – Purple Posy

Purple Posy is lovely soft purple and one of the InColors which will sadly retire in the next few months when 5 new InColors will be introduced.

I cannot stop using these Pierced Blooms dies. They are just fabulous!

My card base is Purple Posy with a layer of Highland Heather then a Basic White piece, dry embossed with the Painted Texture 3D TIEF.

Vine Design Thinking of You card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021.

I love this colour combination: Rococo Rose – Purple Posy – So Saffron – Soft Sea Foam

The sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather ink and cut out with an electronic cutting machine if you have one, or simply fussy cut with Paper Snips. The sentiment and the flowers are popped up on dimensionals and everything else is glued with Multipurpose Glue.

How cute are those little Butterfly Gems – they come in all the 2019-2021 InColors.

On the inside I added another flower die cut and strips of card like on the front of the card!

Vine Design card with a handy tip for your die cut sentiments

This Vine Design bundle is rather cute and I’m glad I purchased it recently.

I used some of the Paper Blooms DSP (free during Saleabration with qualifying order – ends tonight) as the background. I die cut the leaves in Night of Navy cardstock and stamped 8 of the flowers in Night of Navy ink onto Rococo Rose card, then die cut them out.

The sentiment is stamped in Rococo Rose ink and die cut. Can you see that extra embossed edge around the sentiment? I share my handy tip below:

The sentiment and flowers are popped up on dimensionals and placed some retired metallic pearls in the centres of each flower. The Butterfly Gems are super pretty and I had to add a few of them too!
