Today I am using many of the items listed above for this Thinking of you card.

Gold Foil is layered onto the Soft Succulent card base with some of the stunning DSP on the top. The wreath die is cut in Evening Evergreen card. The sentiment is stamped with Soft Succulent ink onto a piece of Basic White card cut using the Everyday Label Punch, then added on dimensionals. Lastly I added a ribbon bow with the Gold 1cm Shimmer Ribbon.

Smoky Slate – Very Versailles

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 47 – Smoky Slate

Smoky Slate is from the Neutrals collection. This is another colour I don’t use a lot of, and I really did struggle as to what stamp set to choose. As I was looking through my stamp sets, Very Versailles was one that hasn’t seen much love. I actually really like it, but for some reason, I cannot do the vintage style that comes naturally to so many. Challenge time!

Craft with Kate Colour Combination

This card is very simple and not a lot to it. I embossed a piece of Rich Razzleberry card with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder and glued it to a Basic White Thick card base.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, I cut the white panel in my Cut & Emboss Machine.

The script image is stamped in Smoky Slate ink and the leaves in Bermuda Bay ink. The sentiment stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a strip of Smoky Slate card. This was glued to the white card with Multipurpose Glue and then I used my Paper Snips to trim the edges so they were overhanging slightly. The panel was then added to the card base with Dimensionals and a little gold Bumblebee Trinket added with a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I stamped the scripty image again in the bottom corner in Smoky Slate ink.

I love the font of this sentiment and it could be used for so many different occasions; Birthdays, Sympathy, etc and it is not overly feminine or masculine – I love this!

Vine Design card with a handy tip for your die cut sentiments

This Vine Design bundle is rather cute and I’m glad I purchased it recently.

I used some of the Paper Blooms DSP (free during Saleabration with qualifying order – ends tonight) as the background. I die cut the leaves in Night of Navy cardstock and stamped 8 of the flowers in Night of Navy ink onto Rococo Rose card, then die cut them out.

The sentiment is stamped in Rococo Rose ink and die cut. Can you see that extra embossed edge around the sentiment? I share my handy tip below:

The sentiment and flowers are popped up on dimensionals and placed some retired metallic pearls in the centres of each flower. The Butterfly Gems are super pretty and I had to add a few of them too!

Paper Blooms in a Touch of Ink

Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray are the two cardstocks for the base and matt layer, with the Paper Blooms on top.

This butterfly is from A Touch of Ink stamp set is layered with the Gold Gilded Leafing to colour it. Stamp the image in Versamark ink, add Heat & Stick Powder and gently melt it with your Heat Tool. Add some of the gold flakes and remove the excess by rubbing across it with a sponge dauber.

The sentiment thinking of you is stamped in Night of Navy ink and the same butterfly image is stamped on the inside in Seaside Spray ink.

Fine Art Floral Suite with Gilded Leafing

The Fine Art Floral Suite is stunning and all these gorgeous products coordinate to make your crafting experience more pleasurable.

I love this particular piece of patterned paper, with all the pink tones. I have used the Petal Pink 5/8″ organdy striped ribbon, just a hit of it between the two DSPs.

The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo/Mossy Meadow ink. Then I used Versamark ink, added Heat & Stick Powder and used the Heat Tool to melt it, before applying the Gilded Leafing.

Curvy Christmas in Classic Christmas Colours

Here is a quick background using the new Classic Christmas DSP and the Curvy dies & Curvy Christmas stamp set.

The card base is Thick Whisper White and the DSP added to the top. The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce to match, using the Stamparatus for that perfect image.

I just love this little reindeer – stamped in Memento ink and coloured with alcohol Blends Markers and some Wink of Stella added to his nose and bow. I fussy cut him out and popped him up on dimensionals.

This card is so simple and you could whip up loads of these in time for Christmas if you haven’t started your cards yet!

Curvy Christmas Wreath

I’m loving the Curvy Celebrations suite of products now available – some products are early release items from the upcoming 2021 Mini catalogue.

Quite Curvy & Curvy Dies

The rich colours of this Classic Christmas DSP includes Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce with white, but tonight I am using all but Sahara Sand for my classic Christmas card.

I decided to create a wreath using the Stamparatus to stamp the foliage in the round. The stars were stamped the same way, to get that beautiful uniform pattern.

The bird is stamped in Memento ink, coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers and cut out with the coordinating die. The circles are cut using the Layering Circles dies.

In Good Taste for Forever Flourishing

I love the classic colours of blues and whites and this card in no exception. I also added some gold for added bling, sparkle and texture!

Embossing the card base and the navy die cut, brings more interest to the card, along with the wood element and tiny Butterfly Gems.

On the inside I placed some more strips of patterned paper, flipping one over to see the wood design for added texture. The banner was created using the Tailored Tag Punch.

Hello, Ornate Garden Suite

Tonight’s card was made for my mother in law to say Hello during this crazy time in isolation, using the new items from the upcoming Annual catalogue starting 3 June. However, these items are available now as an early release!

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and white emboss powder added and heat set. This sentiment is from the Seriously The Best stamp set which is retiring, along with the Leaf Punch 😦

On the inside, I just placed the simple sentiment and a flower image in the corner, leaving plenty of room for my message.

TIP: The Whisper White Seam Binding ribbon was a little too much for this card, so I simply coloured it with my Stampin’ Blends Marker to colour it Old Olive to match the card base!

Tonight’s cards are simple but very bright in these gorgeous soon to retire In-colours 😥

2018 - 2020 In Colours

Using the Painted Poppies stamp set and the coordinating Peaceful Moments stamp set, these cards were super quick to make.

I cut the white panel to 2-1/2″ and the layer behind is 2-3/4″ and to the width of the card.

The poppies are stamped in memento black ink and then stamped over with the coordinating card colour inkpads. The poppies at the bottom are inked in the same colour as the base card to add a little more interest.

On the inside I stamped another poppy in the corner and added another sentiment. These cards are going out to some friends to hopefully cheer them up during this horrendous health crisis.

What is your favourite “soon to retire” in colour? Mine is definitely Lovely Lipstick and I am really going to miss it.
