Heart of Christmas – Floating X Card

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening to share Christmas inspiration using @stampinupofficial seasonal products.

Floating X Card

My fun fold card this week is a Floating X card. The card base is a fun fold with the extra ‘X’ pieces attached at the front and back appearing to be floating. I’ve used the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP in the background and the Timeless Christmas DSP on the ‘X’. The feature in the centre is a diecut label using the Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies with a stamped Peaceful Pine tree [Twinkling Tidings Bundle] and the deer are created using the Hot Foiling System with the Graceful Evergreen Deer Hot Foil Dies and Silver Foil. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink onto Basic White card, Gold WOW Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. This sentiment is from the Soiree Salutations stamp set.

here’s a closer look at the centre feature elements with those Silver Foil deer and the inside of the card to write your message.

Garden Green: Joyful Friends Double Slider Card

Week 25 – Garden Green

My card this week is a double slider card featuring the Joyful Friends stamp set and the Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The images are stamped in Pecan Pie ink and coloured with Blends Combo Markers and some Wink of Stella and the sentiments are stamped in Garden Green ink.

You can see on the right side of the card that there is a semi circle notifying the recipient to pull. As you slide the panel another smaller one appears from behind the front panel of the card.

The best part is that this entire mechanism is fully hidden within the front cover of the card and behind this DSP panel when the card is open. This leaves plenty of room for your message to your recipient!!

Heart of Christmas – Christmas Mice Pop Up Card

Christmas Mice Pop Up Card

My card this week has a fun surprise scene inside, but first, lets check out the front of the house before we go inside!

The house is Crumb Cake cardstock with ink blending around the edges. The door frame was die cut from a piece of white card that I had in my stash, with the timber stamped in Crumb Cake ink, and I thought it was perfect for the door!

I added some blending over it also. The frame was coloured with Pecan Pie Blends Combo Markers. The top window glow is ink blended with Darling Duckling ink. I stamped the Christmas lights in Early Espresso ink and coloured them with Blends Combo Markers. The door handle is cut from Gold Shimmer card I had sitting on my desk.

I cut the roof from the A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the trees from Peaceful Pine Two-Tone cardstock. The card base is also Two-Tone cardstock. Once the card was complete, I added some Wink of Stella to the trees and Fine Tip Glue to the Christmas lights.

Open the card to find this little mouse inside her house with the fire roaring behind her, while she decorates the christmas tree. Below is a Basic White panel for the message to the recipient.

Here’s a closer look to see how it works with little boxes to create the mechanisms. The ones for the tree and box of baubles are shorter than the other two, to add some extra depth to the scene. The background is part of the Designer Series Paper pack and perfect for my card.

Cloud Cover: Masculine Pillar Fun Fold Card with Rolling Waves & Scenic Coast

Week 16 – Cloud Cover

My card this week is a pillar card using the Rolling Waves dies and the Scenic Coast Specialty DSP that is perfect for a masculine birthday.

A Cloud Cover card base with Night of Navy matt layers behind the Scenic Coast SDSP. I’ve also used Basic Beige card for the sand, Basic White and Cloud Cover to die cut the waves. I added some shells to the sand and the inside of the card and some small gold birds to the sky.

I didn’t want to just have the message panel on the back visible, so I created a tab on one side and adhered this to the back of the card to hide my mesage (computer printed). Some more die cut shells added in the corner.

Measurements
Card base: 25cm x 14.5cm
Cloud Cover: 7cm x 10.5cm (front), 7cm x 1.5cm (sentiment), 14.5cm x 12.5cm (back) plus extra for die cutting
Night of Navy: 13.9cm x 10.1cm, 13.9cm x 4.1cm, 6.6cm x 10.1cm
DSP: 13.5cm x 9.7cm, 13.5cm x 3.9cm, 9.7cm x 6.4cm
Basic White: 10.6cm x 14.1cm (message) plus extra for die cutting
Crumb Cake: 6.4cm x 5cm

  1. Score the card base by scoring @ 4.5cm, 7cm, 11.5cm, 14cm.
  2. Before adhering the left column, I adhered the Night of Navy matt cardstock pieces in place.
  3. Die cut the waves from Cloud Cover card and the ‘foam’ die from Basic White card a couple of times and adhere together.
  4. Add a piece of Crumb Cake card to the bottom of the 9.7cm x 6.4cm piece of DSP. To work out the size, hold the waves across the DSP and see where to cut it on an angle so it is hidden behind the waves.
  5. Use Crumb Cake ink to stamp some of the texture for the sand.
  6. Adhere the wave die cuts across the bottom of each piece of DSP and cut off the excess with scissors. Use these on the DSP for the column.
  7. Adhere each of the DSPs to the matt card.
  8. Adhere the largest panel to the inside of the card base,
  9. Fold the scored column into a cube and add glue to the end piece to adhere against the centre scoreline.
  10. Push the column flat to the right and hold for the panel to set.
  11. While the column is flat, add glue to the reverse side of the feature panel (remember only along the side that will adhere to the column). Centre it between the top and bottom of the card and ensure it doesn’t go past the card base while pushed flat!
  12. Stamp your sentiment and adhere on the column below the main feature.
  13. Take the Cloud Cover 14.5cm x 12.5cm and score the short side @ 11cm.
  14. Add glue to the tab and adhere to the back along the spine of the card.
  15. Add the Basic White sentiment panel (I printed mine from my computer).
  16. Add some die cut shells and gold bird embellishments.

Cherry Cobbler: Two fun fold Christmas cards from one sheet of cardstock

Week 15 – Cherry Cobbler

My cards this week are fun fold cards that I cased from Fiona Carson (NZ demonstrator). As a demonstrator benefit, we can preorder product a month before it becomes available to purchase, and with the upcoming September-December catalogue imminent, I have made my Cherry Cobbler cards with Christmas in mind!

The Christmas Mice Bundle is so cute and features on my first card. The designer paper is A Little Christmas DSP and the sentiment is a new set, Soiree Saulations.

and with the leftover cardstock you can create this second card with no wastage. Both of these cards, use one sheet of A4 cardstock!

The Joyous Friends stamp set has some adorable aussie animals and here is one of the stamps featuring the koala in a gumtree wreath.

Cajun Craze: Butterfly Swirl pop up card

Week 13 – Cajun Craze

My card this week is a special pop up card, but before we peek inside, let’s look at the front!

With Cajun Craze our feature colour, I immediately thought of terracotta pots, so out came the Help Me Grow dies. The Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder is also new to me, so this has made an appearance along with the Shimmering Stripes Specialty DSP. Do you see that?!!! If you love a bit of sparkle, you need this paper and it will be wonderful for Christmas cards too.

The background is the 2025-27 In Color™ Gingham Gallery DSP.

The pot die cut pieces for the feature were cut in Basic White and coloured using the Cajun Craze inkpad and Blending Brushes. The leaves are cut from Peaceful Pine card and also have a little ink blending on them. The flowers are white and the centres have Wink of Stella, after I added it to the butterflies to have a little addition of the Cajun ink! This is sitting on a Nested Essentials die cut. The butterfly is the All Aflutter Bundle which includes a punch to cut them out.

Here is the wow when you open the card – the swirl of butterflies!!! It was just a fussy cut swirl glued into the card and butterflies glued on!

Bubble Bath: Hooray For Birthdays Grandstand Pop Up Card

Week 12 – Bubble Bath

With Bubble Bath being from the Subtles Collection, and my July Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived last week, I decided to do an alternative card with this kit.

Using the Bubble Bath pages of the DSP I added a layer to the Bubble Bath card base.

I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the card and secured it with tape on the front underneath where the arched feature is. Everything on the arch is from the Paper Pumpkin (PP) kit.

Check out this pop up feature when you open the card – doesn’t it look like a grandstand?!! But way prettier!!!

The construction of this is made out of Basic White cardstock, requiring two pieces with the smaller centre one interlocking into the larger one. The Subtles Painted Patterns DSP is featured on this smaller piece with the die cut flowers from the PP Kit. The banner with the stamped sentiment is also from the kit. The other pattern is actually one of the card bases from the kit which I cut up to decorate the larger panels and square panels down each side.

Now you can see why I added the ribbon to hold the card closed! This card is a little bulky, so I wouldn’t be sending this one in the mail. On the back of the card, I added a Basic White piece to write my message to the recipient.

Detailed Flora – Paper Pumpkin Add Ons

My cards today are using the Detailed Flora dies [168664], the Add Ons for the July-September 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kits.

Card 1 – a really pretty and simple card. The addition of the banner [Stylish Shapes dies] and the circle is diecut in Sunset Shimmer Vellum for some extra sparkle. The patterned paper [Bloom Boutique Specialty] is the perfect backdrop. Those cute little [In Color Butterflies] embellishments finish off the card!

Card 2 – is a fun design. To create this, I simply cut two lengths into the card front at 4cm and 7.5cm. The DSP [Beautiful Ordinary Life] is a black & white piece that I coloured with Blending Brushes and Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush inks. I then cut it into strips to fit on the front panels. The card inner was added, then the narrow strip from the front is glued inside. The feature on the front is glued either side to hold the card front together!

Card 3 – a Gatefold card using the patterned paper [Everyday Essentials DSP] which coordinates beautifully, don’t you think?! On the inside is some of the B sides to these papers. The sentiment [Fabulous Sayings] was from the January 2026 Product of the Month (POTM).

I used Blends Makers to colour the flowers & leaves and add the spots below the sentiment using Bubble Bath, Crumb Cake, Darling Duckling and Lost Lagoon!

Berry Burst: Tucked Corner card

Week 9 – Berry Burst

My card this week is a fun fold Tucked Corner card.

I have used the Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP and the Heirloom Boutique dies. Some sheets of this paper have specialty flocking for a soft, touchable texture, it is so beautiful.

This is such a fun colour palette of Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight and Peaceful Pine with touches of gold.
