Week 18 – Garden Green

Tomorrow is the last chance to earn FREE product as the Saleabration period ends. Tonight I am using one of these products, the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, my favourite SAB item!

Be Dazzling Specialty Paper Saleabration 2021 Kate Morgan Australia

The Hand-Penned Petals Bundle and the coordinating Hand-Penned DSP have been favourite products from the 2021-22 Annual catalogue.

I started with a Thick Basic White Card base, 10.5cm x 28cm folded in half at 14cm. The next Garden Green layer is 13.5cm x 10cm.

The Hand-Penned DSP is 13cm x 9.5cm. Take the Label Me Lovely punch, and insert it into one corner of the DSP with the point meeting in the centre of the punch.

Now do the same on the opposite corner. Flip your punched designs over and place back where you punched them from. Now glue these to the Garden Green layer before decorating with a centre piece.

This is the largest of the Stitched So Sweetly dies with a Be Dazzling die cut from the Penned Flower dies. The sentiment, Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, is fussy cut and added with dimensionals.

It was a difficult decision to decide which way to glue down my DSP design, so I repeated the process, but the opposite papers. So here is my second card.

I decorated this one very similar to the first, but added some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and a different sentiment. This sentiment and the background image on the Garden Green die cut, are both from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.

The Be Dazzling leaves and scallop border are also from the coordinating dies.

Which one is your favourite?

  1. Love the different way with the punch, never would have thought of that. Gives a different look to the cards for sure. Now I think 1 might be my fave, but 2 is very close.

  2. A clever idea to create a clean corner using the label punch. Love the Hand Penned DSP used in your cards with touches of Garden Green and your birthday greeting is beautifully cut.

  3. Very clever technique with the punch, Kate! You’ve achieved quite different looks just by flipping the papers. I think my favourite of the two is the second one, but I do love the floral die-cut in the Be Dazzling Paper on your first card. 🙂

  4. Kate this is such a cool way to use a punch and a great layout to use with any DSP. I think the first card is my favourite because I like the larger sentiment on the card front but your second card is just lovely too.
