Week 39 – Real Red
Tonight’s card features the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle (Hand-Penned Petals stamp set & Penned Flowers dies) from the Annual catalogue. I stamped this image four times (3 for the front and 1 inside) in Memento Black ink and coloured them using Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs (Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade).
My card base is Thick Basic White with a smaller layer dry embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I added a small strip of the All Together 6″x6″ DSP, and die cut the bottom with the scallop border die from the Penned Flowers dies.
The sentiment panel is cut with one of the Tasteful Labels dies and stamped in Black Memento ink. This sentiment is from the Catching Butterflies stamp set (Saleabration item which can be select for free with a $90 product order). Saleabration ends on 16 March in Australia. This panel is popped up on Dimensionals and a Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon bow is added with a Glue Dot and some of my favourite, Brushed Brass Butterflies Embellishments.

Such a lovely card Kate. With the strip of black DSP behind the flowers, it’s just so striking! I love the floral layering on the front.

Love, love this card. I can’t see how you used the flowers from the Art in Bloom bundle, they look like Hand Penned Petals. How did you stamp this floral set? You’re so talented, I just adore your inspirational work!

Oh my goodness, you are right – it is the Hand-Penned Petals bundle. I get these two confused all the time. I have updated my post with the correct items now. Thank you! Yes I stamped that one image 3 times and placed them behind the sentiment (overlapped slightly). I stamped a couple of extra flowers and placed them under the flowers as it didn’t looked balanced enough without them. Thank you for your lovely comments.

What a lovely card Kate and I really love seeing these flowers in a bold colour for a change. I also love the addition of the All Together paper instead of just plain black

Oh, how pretty! The wreath of red flowers looks amazing, and I love the simple sentiment in the middle. it really lets the flowers be the star of the card.

Nice to see these flowers in red, they are stunning. I like the sentiment you’ve used and put on a larger label.
