Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 34th colour; Pacific Point.

I’m using three of the Sale-a-bration items, Botanical Butterfly DSP, Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack & Hello Cupcake stamp set which can be earned FREE with a qualifying order. I have also used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Duet Butterfly punch!

Starting with a piece of cardstock measuring 8″ x 5⅞”, score the long edge at 2″ & 6″. Fold in to create the gatefold! I glued two strips of the Botanical Butterfly DSP to the front. The butterflies are stamped in Memento Black ink for the outline and Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist to colour the wings. As you can see below, my Wink of Stella had a good workout too! Oh how I love my “Stella”!!!

The Layering Circle Framelits were used to cut both of the circles and once I joined the belly band together, I covered the join with scallop circle. I  wrapped some of the Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon, joining it in the centre of the circle. Add the Green circle over the top to hide the join and them add the butterfly to the centre with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

On the inside, I added a piece of Whisper White card with a strip of DSP and stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink.

Beauty Abounds with stunning Monarch Butterflies for the start of Sale-a-bration!

Tomorrow is the start of Sale-a-bration and the release of the Occasions catalogue 2019!!!

Are you excited? There are so many gorgeous new products and I’d love to know what will be first on your shopping list. I must confess, I loved so much, but I had to have some self control and started with the butterflies. I just cannot live without them!

Some of our lovely team ladies took part in a card swap, which meant we made 11 of the same card, sent them to Claire who divided them up and returned 11 cards to us. The variety is amazing and to see what this talented group of ladies came up with was awe-inspiring!

Here is the one I made using the Beauty Abounds bundle; Beauty Abounds Stamp set and the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlits dies. I love how there are 2 dies and they overlap for that stunning two tone look.

This colour palette; Black, White & Pumpkin Pie, reminds me of the most common monarch butterflies we have here in Australia and we have had plenty of them this spring and summer!

I used my Stamparatus to setup all the stamp images to make it so much quicker and easier when making multiples of the one card – awesome!

The inside I stamped the sentiment and butterfly and rounded 2 corners of the Whisper White card stock using the Envelope Punch Board!

Heart of Christmas: Inlaid Technique with Dashing Deer

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Today, for our very last Heart of Christmas blog hop post for 2018, I am sharing a very simple card using the Dashing Deer bundle. But don’t worry, I still have plenty more Christmas projects to share with you over the coming weeks!

My card base is the lovely Merry Merlot. The Sparkle glimmer layer was die cut with the deer die and removed and glued to the front of the card. I die cut another of that same deer in the Merry Merlot glimmer from the Joyous Noel 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper pack from the 2018 Holiday catalogue.

Dashing Deer Inlaid technique by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018

I glued the Merlot deer into the place where the Sparkle glimmer deer was removed. This creates that inlaid look and makes the card entirely flat (apart from the bow)! It was a bit hard to photograph.

Dashing Deer Inlaid technique by Kate Morgan, Australia, 2018

I stamped the sentiment on the inside with another smaller deer and a strip of the same Glimmer paper.

Colour Creations: Lemon Lime Twist with a Sneak Peek of new Occasions catalogue product!

9bdc0-34343751_10157403755198098_7101250458500464640_o

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Lemon Lime Twist!!!

I am giving you a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be available in the 2019 Occasions catalogue. I won this as my Prize Patrol set at the OnStage event for demonstrators last Saturday! It is called Wonderful Romance.

My card base is Old Olive with a layer of Lemon Lime Twist and then I have stamped the image in Sahara Sand on Whisper White card. The sentiment is also stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.

I don’t think the photo does it justice, but the larger leaves are coloured with Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker and then a layer of the Fine Tip Glue added for the shiny look. The other leaves are coloured with Soft Sea Foam & Old Olive and the flowers are Lovely Lipstick! Each flower has an enamel dot in the centre (these are new too!) and the bow is Linen Thread.

Colour Creations: Cherry Cobbler

Hello Crafters,

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Cherry Cobbler!!!

I am using this colour combination with the Cake Soiree stamp set and coordinating dies.

I Gold Embossed the cake and the edges of the Gorgeous Grape layer.

Colour Creation with Cherry Cobbler using Stampin Up Cake Soiree by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018.jpg

The sentiment on top of the cake is also embossed, but with White Embossing Powder. The photo doesn’t do the cake justice, because the gold embossing looks very dull, when in fact it is quite shiny. I used watercolour pencils to colour the flowers in the 3 coordinating colours and the white pencil to add some highlight. The flowers on the top of the cake were stamped in full colour and stamped off once for the lighter shade.

Thinking of You Fancy Fold with Nature’s Poem DSP

Dear Crafters,

Today I share my own design Fancy Fold card using Designer Series Paper!

No more hoarding DSP in my house this year, I need to use it and this style is perfect. You can use any of the Designer papers in the Stampin’ Up! range to create all types of cards and the best part is you can get 2 cards from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″!

Each card measures 12″ x 6″ scored at 1¾”, 4¾”, 7¾” and it fits into our C6 envelopes.

Fun Fold Nature's Poem DSP, Rooted in Nature Stampin Up Thinking of You Card by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018

Here it is fully open. The first fold is glued down to the front of the card. Depending on the reverse design of your paper, it can give a striking effect as seen here. This also makes the card stronger. I didn’t want to put a large piece of card in the centre to write the message for two reasons, I didn’t want to cover up that gorgeous paper and secondly I cut it down to fit behind the large sentiment when the card is closed.

Fun Fold Nature's Poem DSP, Rooted in Nature Stampin Up Thinking of You Card by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018.

Just look at those leaves ♥ I am so in love with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats! Not only did I emboss the leaves on the white message piece, but also embossed them in coordinating coloured card and then die cut them to add even more texture to the front of the card.

Colour Creations Blog Hop featuring Bermuda Bay with Accented Blooms

Hello Crafters,

Some of the Art With Heart team have decided to do a weekly Blog Hop that highlights a different colour in our range each week. Today we are featuring one of my favourite colours, Bermuda Bay!!!

Today I’ve used the Accented Blooms stamp set with the coordinating Tailored Tag punch. I stamped the image with Versamark ink, added white embossing powder and heat set it. Then I coloured the images with Stampin’ Write Markers; Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo & Bermuda Bay. Then I added some Wink of Stella to the Bermuda Bay flowers to add some shine and highlight the colour.

Accented Blooms Birthday card Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018.jpg

Using the Trio punch, I took out a notch on the spine of the card to thread the new gorgeous grape mini striped ribbon through and tie it in a bow!

The sentiment is from the Best Bunny stamp set. I used the Stamparatus to create this. I had the sentiment on one plate and the solid image on another. I stamped the sentiment first with Versamark and then add the white embossing powder and heat set it. Then I placed it back in the Stamparatus and inked the solid image with Bermuda Bay ink and stamped it a couple of times to get a deep, rich colour. Then I used a tissue to wipe off the excess ink from the embossed sentiment. This was then punched out and added with dimensionals.

Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop featuring Basic Gray

Hello Crafters,

Some of the Art With Heart team have decided to do a weekly Blog Hop that highlights a different colour in our range each week. Today is the second hop, as I missed the first one last week which featured the new colour, Balmy Blue (love it), however this week is Basic Gray and I am featuring both colours to get me started!!!

I am featuring the Best Bunny Bundle; stamp set and coordinating punch. It is fantastic value at just $53 for both items!

Best Bunny Photopolymer Bundle

I stamped the bunny on basic gray card with basic gray ink and punched out the pieces. I added some Wink of Stella to the centre of his ears, nose, tail and belly. His head has a mini dimensional behind for some added height. Behind him is the Tailored Tag Punch in Whisper White with Balmy Blue ink sponged around the edges and added with dimensionals.

Check out that gorgeous polka dot tulle ribbon wrapped around the card and tied in a bow. It is so soft and easy to tie in a bow.

Did you notice the embossed background? This is the brand new Tufted Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. It is simply stunning and reminds me of a baby blanket, perfect for this card.

On the inside, I have simply stamped some stars in both coordinating colour inks and sponged the edges.

Blog Hop: In Colors

Blog Hop In Colour.jpg

Dear Crafters,

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring “in color” theme. Check out the new 2018 – 2020 in colors and lets not forget the current 2017 – 2019 in colors. If you would like a copy of the 2018-2019 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from Rebecca Jacovou. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

I am so excited about the new upcoming in colors, they are just so bright and cheery and I love them all. They are just like a rainbow of colour and that makes me happy, so my first two cards use the 2018-2020 in colors!

This first card I have just cut panels of card and glued them to a piece of Very Vanilla card then glued it to the front of the Lovely Lipstick (my favourite in colour!) card base. A piece of Dotted Ribbon was placed across the centre. The sentiment is stamped onto a die cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and added with dimensionals.

Sentiment of My Heart In Color Blog Hop 2018 Stampin Up Annual catalogue by Kate Morgan Australia

This stamped sentiment is the Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart and it says everything to me and everyone else on this blog hop, what crafting means to us. Isn’t it beautiful??!

This next one is also using these same in colors; Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick & Pineapple Punch. The new Handwritten background stamp was placed in the Stamparatus to get this 3-toned effect. The Stampartus made it so much easier to ink up the sections starting with the lightest to the darkest, lining up the image perfectly. And if you haven’t got the crisp image and miss a little, you can ink it up again and re-stamp!

2018 In Color Blog Hop Handwritten Love What You Do Thank You card Stampin Up Annual catalogue by Kate Morgan Australia

The sentiment and flower image are from the Love What You Do stamp set. Can you see the Wink of Stella on those petals? So pretty! I added some gingham ribbon and Faceted Dots.

2018 In Color Blog Hop Handwritten Love What You Do Thank You card Stampin Up Annual catalogue by Kate Morgan Australia.

This next card uses Berry Burst & Powder Pink, 2017-2019 in colors, paired with Whisper White. Again I used the Stamparatus for the sentiment, but stamping it in Powder Pink, then using the Berry Burst Stampin’ Write marker to apply ink to the bottom of the sentiment end re-stamping for that dual tone.

Abstract Impressions Stampin Up 2018 Butterfly with handmade bead by Kate Morgan Australia

I have used the new Abstract Impressions bundle which will be available on 1st June. I was worried when the Butterflies thinlits were retiring, so this bundle was a must have for me!  I really wanted the butterfly to be the feature, so I die cut the image in Berry Burst card and the floral image in Whisper White, the same as the card base.

Abstract Impressions Stampin Up 2018 Butterfly with handmade bead by Kate Morgan, Australia

Check out the centre of the butterfly. Can you see what I’ve done? It’s like a handmade bead! I cut a 4½” strip of DSP, tapered off at one end. Add some glue and roll it up around a skewer. Leaving the bead on the skewer, I then added some Fine Tip glue over the entire thing to make it shiny (a bit hard to tell in the photo) and let it dry overnight across the top of a bowl before adding it to my butterfly. I glued a little twine in the top for its antennae.

Thanks for visiting today.
