AWH Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop!

Dear Crafters,art-with-heart-image

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls are sharing some fun and fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new Holiday Catalogue available now until 3rd January 2017. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today!

You have come to my blog from the lovely, Rebecca Jacovou.  Blogs are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

For my projects today I am using the Cookie Cutter Bundle (Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set & Cookie Cutter Builder Punch). By purchasing these items together you save an extra 10%.

Who doesn’t think of Rudolf when you think of Christmas? Well, Santa has to get here somehow and guess who is the leader of the gang?!!!! So today I begin with a card with Rudolf being the focus!

Having a stamp and coordinating punch, makes cards so easy to create. By stamping the background with multiple of the same image, you don’t necessarily need designer paper to get started. Stamp the image again onto the same colour card and punch it out and centre it to the card on dimensionals.

I added some of the new copper metallic thread behind for a little bling and a shiny red nose with some Dazzling Details and a bright red sentiment in the bottom corner.

Next is a similar card, but stepped up with an embossed background with copper embossing powder.

The Real Red card was die cut with the Layering Squares framelits and I used the copper metallic thread wrapped around it multiple times for an effective pattern.

Also in this bundle, is a teddy bear (cute hey?!) and the sentiment Have yourself a beary merry Christmas!

This time I have used some Designer Series Paper, Pinecones and Presents and I selected the piece with the little bows to coordinate with the bow on my teddy bear.

The Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon is tied in a knot with some gold sequin trim.

And now for some cute little Santa earrings, made with this bundle and using some Shrink Plastic! How cool that you can use your stampin’ stuff to create these gorgeous accessories!!!

and some cute little Eskimo’s too!

Thoughtful Branches

Dear Crafters,

Today’s cards feature the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and the Beautiful Branches thinlits which can be purchased as a bundle saving you 10% but only while stocks last and ends on 31 August! This is a limited time only bundle and one that you must add to your shopping cart.

Thoughtful Branches, Beautiful Branches, Sympathy card #stampinup DIY @cardsbykate

This first one is a sympathy card that I made for a work colleague who lost her father last week following a short illness. I wanted to make it feminine but also added some Dapper Denim in memory of her dad!

How sweet is the little bird? I love that!

I decorated the inside of the card and the envelope to match!

This next card is amazingly using the same stamp set and just shows the versatility of this bundle. A Christmas card using the gorgeous Emerald Envy and Cherry Cobbler.

This card was looking a little plain and needed something else, so I added the twine bow to finish the card. It was just what it needed. I love this sentiment too!

Wondrous Wreath Shaker Card

Hello Crafters,

Are you ready for some more Christmas and Wondrous Wreath but with a little extra?

Shaker cards are all the rage and I thought “why not do it for Christmas too”. So I did and used the centre of the wreath as the shaker section.

Wondrous Wreath

These stamps are made from photopolymer, which means they are completely clear so you can see precisely where you are going to stamp. They are also two step stamp, which means you can use the next one to stamp directly over the top of the first stamp. I haven’t used this here, but I will bring you something next week using the set to its fullest potential.

The base card colour used is Garden Green and I felt the rest of the card needed to be fairly plain, focusing on the shaker section.

The wreath itself is coloured using the baby wipe technique with the colours: Always Artichoke, Garden Green, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler.

See the little sequins and the snowflakes inside the wreath?

Wondrous Wreath

I just added the ‘joy’ from the coordinating framelits and some simple rhinestones to finish off.

Wondrous Wreath also has coordinating framelits, which makes it so much easier to cut the wreath out! Imagine doing that by hand?!!! It would be so time consuming.  And as an added bonus if you purchase them as a bundle you can save an extra 15%.

Festival of Trees

Hello Crafters,

Well guess what? Here I am making another card with the Festival of Trees Bundle! Yes, I have said many times that I do love this set; so versatile and simple.

In this card, I aimed to show some more layering, whilst still trying to use the traditional Christmas colours of reds and greens.

Festival of Trees

Colours used are Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  The trees are stamped with the same baby wipe technique and inks (Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green & Crushed Curry) from the previous post on Monday, Wondrous Wreath.

I stamped the trees and punched them with the coordinating Tree Punch before adding some baubles by using the Cupcake Builder Punch and some Glitter Paper.

Holiday Home

Hello Crafters,

Today I want to share a card I have made using the Holiday Home Stamp Set and coordinating framelits. When I first browsed the Holiday Catalogue, this was one of the first sets I marked as ‘I want it’.  I could see straight away that this set had potential, not only for Christmas cards, but also scrapbooking pages, Project Life pages, Halloween cards as well as New Home cards!

The Holiday Catalogue goes live on 28 August 2014, so be sure to request your copy to be mailed out now!

Holiday home

I case’d this from the Holiday Catalogue but changed up the colours and altered it slightly. How cute are these little home image!

Holiday home

I used the Blendabilities to colour small parts of the homes and added the red lights which is part of the stamp set. Be sure to check these products out on page 16 of the Holiday Catalogue.
