Faux Embossing with Dies

Dear Crafters,

I just love this technique of using dies to embossing without cutting!

Isn’t it just so elegant? I love the effect and softness this technique provides, especially for a wedding card!

Wedding Wishes

Dear Crafters,

Last week I shared a card using the Detailed Floral Thinlits and today I share another one using Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry!

How do you think these two colours work? I absolutely adore them together. It is so rich and warm and well, simply stunning!

I added a small strip across the centre of this card (sponged the edges) and the sentiment stamped to one side and some petite petals flowers punched and embossed with a pearl in the centre of each.

Wedding Bliss

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you another sneak peek of a new product in the Annual Catalogue. This stamp set is also what I will be showcasing at my next class on Saturday 6th June at 1pm. To view my full list of classes, click here.

This stamp set is called Build a Birthday, but yes, I have changed the theme and made a wedding card from it. This just shows how versatile this set is, and you won’t believe what other things we can make with this stamp set.

This stamp set is photopolymer, so it is completely clear so you can stamp exactly where you want without using the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

The base card is Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White, then another layer of Basic Black. I stamped the cake stand in Versamark ink directly onto the black card and added some white embossing powder before heat setting it with the heat gun.

The cake layers are strips of washi tape that I have lined up on some white card in layers. I put it onto white card because the washi tape is sheer and it wouldn’t have shown if stuck directly to the black card stock). I cut out the cake indenting between the layers, before adhering to the top of the cake stand. So simple but super effective.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I added some little gold glitter flowers with glue dots and a rhinestone in the centre of each one, and a gold bow to finish it off.

I absolutely love this set and know that you will too, especially once I share some other projects over the next few months as I am sure to make plenty with this set!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope so everything coordinates with a little of the washi tape!!!

Wedding Card

Hello Crafters,

Today I want to share with you a wedding card I was asked to make for a work colleagues sister who got married on Saturday!

Naturally she wanted something special for her sister, so I got out the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

I did the base card in White, then added a layer of Silver Foil Sheet and stamped an image from the Label Love stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.

I punched the Mr & Mrs image with the Artisan Label punch. I punched another from the Silver Foil sheet and cut it in half through the centre and glued each piece to the image so it gives it a layered effect.

The embossing is done with the Lacy Brocade TIEF (r).

Scallop Tag Topper Punch

The bells are stamped with an image from the Best of Brides & Babies stamp set, only available until the end of April 2014!

I used some Silver ribbon to tie the card closed.

Here is a close up!

Scallop Tag Topper Punch

I love how this turned out and love the silver and white combination for a clean and classy look for a wedding.
