Count on Me Rainbow Be Dazzling

Today’s project is so colourful and uses a couple of different colouring techniques. The Be Dazzing Specialty Paper is used and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers. These are alcohol based, so it dries quickly when applied to this paper!

Be Dazzling Specialty Paper Saleabration 2021 Kate Morgan Australia

I cut the six strips to 14cm x 1.5cm and then coloured them. I applied them to the card base with Seal+.

The Highland Heather scallop circle element is die cut using the Give It a Whirl dies as is the Gold Heart that the bear is holding. The bear is from the Count on Me stamp set, stamped in Memento ink on Basic White card coloured with Watercolour Pencils & Blender Pens, then fussy cut with Paper Snips. The ‘happy’ is cut from Highland Heather card with some Foam Adhesive Sheet on the back using the Word Wishes dies.

Week 8 – Cajun Craze

Well, here we are at Cajun Craze, my least used colour in the range! I really struggle with this colour and to me it would be great tone for Terracotta pots, but of course I do not have any stamp sets of this kind!

My next idea is chocolate or coffee, I mean who doesn’t love either of these?!!!! The Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and coordinating Love You More Than dies were the go, along with the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the sentiment to be stamped on. I had all these done but nothing in the background. I tried lots of different papers, but nothing seemed to work, then I stumbled across this paper from the In Good Taste papers (on sale this month!) and I think it works beautifully, a bit like a tablecloth.

CCBH Blackberry Bliss – Pansy Petals 60th Birthday

Week 5 – Blackberry Bliss

Today I am using the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to show how it can be used with the Pansy Dies to cut out the images, rather than stamping the pansies.

60th birthday cards using Pansy Petals for Blackberry Bliss CCBH 2021 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia

My card base is Blackberry Bliss as is the stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment (Sweet Ice cream stamp set) and fussy cut. Behind this is some Gold Foil embossed with the Stitched Greenery Die and added on the diagonal in the centre of the card. The die cut pansies and leaves are placed over the joins to cover them, some on dimensionals for height. Some In Color Jewels are added and the Playful Alphabet dies were used to cut the ’60’ also in Blackberry Bliss so as not to stand out too much (the recipient wouldn’t like that!). Although I did add some Wink of Stella to them!

The white layer on the inside of the card is also decorated with a strip of card and a gold embossed strip like on the front.

Week 4 – Bermuda Bay

Both my cards today use the same colour combination but using different products!

Colour Combination - Bermuda Bay

Card 1 – This single layer card ins just stamping and a little bling, as you always need a little bling! This card uses the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and the Biggest Wish stamp set for the sentiment.

Hand-Penned Petals & Biggest Wish single layer card #simplestamping by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The images are stamped onto Basic White card layer. Once I finished stamping, I ran the edges of the card along the Night of Navy inkpad for an instant border. Glue this to the card base then finish off with some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Card 2 – I had a go at a Stained Glass Window Technique – simply using alcohol markers (Stampin’ Blends) to colour the back of the window sheet that has been stamped on the front with Stazon Black ink with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set! The card base has been embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.

The frame is die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies a few times and gluing them together for some depth. Then using some Foam Adhesive Strips to add space from the Shimmery White card behind.

CCBH Balmy Blue – Feminine Hats Off

CCS Logo 2021-22

Week 2 – Balmy Blue

The Hats Off stamp set and coordinating dies are fantastic value at only $61. Not only can you create masculine cards for the men and boys in your life, but you can create feminine cards too!

Tonight I have made a feminine version in Balmy Blue, Gorgeous Grape and Basic White.

Colour Combination - BB GG BW

Stamping the stars directly on the card base in Gorgeous Grape ink creates some interest. The top section is the 6″ x 6″ Subtles DSP in Balmy Blue, that I cut down to A6 size then die cut it with the Basic Borders Dies. Keep the offcut piece for the inside of the card!

Hats Off Bundle for Balmy Blue CCS by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021.

The hat is stamped and die cut and then the brim is bent up gently along the scoreline to give that realistic look of a cap. Place dimensionals only behind the hat (not the brim) and add to the card.

Hats Off Bundle for Balmy Blue CCBH by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up! Australia 2021

On the inside I stamped the Happy Birthday using the images from the Biggest Wish stamp set and added the DSP offcut from the front piece. I die cut a small hat in Balmy Blue to add to the corner.

A fresh new look Blog Hop featuring the New InColors 2021-2023

CCS Logo 2021-22

With the release of the new Annual catalogue, each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration and showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

With a fresh new look and returning to the traditional blog hop style, we hope you join us each Wednesday for some colour inspiration!

Week 1 – All the new In Colors

Tonight we are showcasing all the 5 new In Colors that have been released for the two year period, 2021 – 2023!

2021-2023 InColors Stampin Up

I have managed to incorporate all of the colours in my card tonight.

My card base is Polished Pink with a layer of Pale Papaya and then a Basic White layer. This is the layer that has that pretty lacy pattern. How did I create it? I took one of the Square Vellum Doilies and the Blending Brushes with Pale Papaya ink and moved it across the white card. Some spots I used a little more ink and faded it out. Once I was happy with the look, I splattered some Wink of Stella across it with some Pale Papaya ink using the Water Painters. Put this aside to dry.

Pansy Patch Pale Papaya card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021

Using the new Pale Papaya Blends Combo Markers, I coloured the Vellum Doilie. The pansies are stamped and stamped off in the same colours but to get that varied tone. Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Evening Evergreen. All of the new InColors are used on this card. The sentiment is stamped 3 times in Pale Papaya ink using the Stamparatus for perfect placement. I made some faux resin dots to match. A Bumblebee Trinket is added.

The sentiment on the inside is stamped in Polished Pink and another pansy added. The leaf is die cut from the Pansy Petals DSP.

Wow, we have come to the end of the colours and what a wonderful year it was, with some amazing inspiration from our team!

Week 50 – Soft Suede

Soft Suede is from the Neutrals collection.

Colour Combination - Soft Suede Real Red Crushed Curry Basic White

I randomly stamped the background images (Biggest Wish stamp set) onto a Soft Suede card base in the same colour ink. The cap (Hats Off stamp set) is stamped onto Real Red card in Soft Suede and die cut with the coordinating Hat Builder dies. The patch is Soft Suede card and the lightening bolt is Crushed Curry card.

The patch is added with dimensionals, as is the cap to the card base.

Hats Off & Biggest Wish, Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021 Colour Creations Showcase..

On the inside I stamped with Crushed Curry and Soft Suede ink and added a Real Red Star die cut to carry over the colours from the front!

To finish off the front, I added some Crushed Curry faux resin dots to incorporate a little more interest.

Nothings Better Than a Cocktail!

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 49 – Soft Sea Foam

Soft Sea Foam is from the Subtles collection. Today I have combined it with two of the new InColors for a really beautiful combination.

Soft Sea Foam Soft Succulent Polished Pink Basic White

I have used a Thick Basic White card base, as I find this much easier as a starting point and then I can have a white panel inside to write my message on and stamp any extra smaller images.

Next I cut a piece of Polished Pink card to A6 size and glue it to the front.  The next layer is a Strip of the new 6″ x 6″ InColor DSP in Soft Succulent. I selected this piece as it almost resembles bubbles which went with my theme!

The top layer is Soft Sea Foam which is stamped with the glasses in Soft Succulent ink and the stars in Soft Sea Foam ink. This is adhered with dimensionals.

Nothings Better Than Cocktails card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021.

The sentiments and the glasses are stamped in Black Memento ink onto white card and die cut.

Nothings Better Than Cocktails card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021 close up

On the inside, I stamped another cocktail, doesn’t it look delicious?!!!

Nothings Better Than Cocktails card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021 inside

I was super pleased with how this card turned out. As much as I cased it from a photo in the annual catalogue, I changed up the sentiments and colours. Case-ing (Copy & Share Everything) is a wonderful way to get inspiration for your projects if you don’t have an idea floating around in your head already. The catalogues are a wonderful source for inspiration!

Smoky Slate – Very Versailles

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 47 – Smoky Slate

Smoky Slate is from the Neutrals collection. This is another colour I don’t use a lot of, and I really did struggle as to what stamp set to choose. As I was looking through my stamp sets, Very Versailles was one that hasn’t seen much love. I actually really like it, but for some reason, I cannot do the vintage style that comes naturally to so many. Challenge time!

Craft with Kate Colour Combination

This card is very simple and not a lot to it. I embossed a piece of Rich Razzleberry card with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder and glued it to a Basic White Thick card base.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, I cut the white panel in my Cut & Emboss Machine.

Very Versaille card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021.

The script image is stamped in Smoky Slate ink and the leaves in Bermuda Bay ink. The sentiment stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a strip of Smoky Slate card. This was glued to the white card with Multipurpose Glue and then I used my Paper Snips to trim the edges so they were overhanging slightly. The panel was then added to the card base with Dimensionals and a little gold Bumblebee Trinket added with a Glue Dot.

Very Versaille card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021 close up

On the inside, I stamped the scripty image again in the bottom corner in Smoky Slate ink.

Very Versaille card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021

I love the font of this sentiment and it could be used for so many different occasions; Birthdays, Sympathy, etc and it is not overly feminine or masculine – I love this!
