Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
A blog hop, also known as blog hopping, is to move from one blog to another, continuing in a full circle to read all the posts by participants in the hop. At the end of each post will be a link to continue to the next blog!
Week 2 – Balmy Blue
The Hats Off stamp set and coordinating dies are fantastic value at only $61. Not only can you create masculine cards for the men and boys in your life, but you can create feminine cards too!
Tonight I have made a feminine version in Balmy Blue, Gorgeous Grape and Basic White.
Stamping the stars directly on the card base in Gorgeous Grape ink creates some interest. The top section is the 6″ x 6″ Subtles DSP in Balmy Blue, that I cut down to A6 size then die cut it with the Basic Borders Dies. Keep the offcut piece for the inside of the card!
The hat is stamped and die cut and then the brim is bent up gently along the scoreline to give that realistic look of a cap. Place dimensionals only behind the hat (not the brim) and add to the card.
On the inside I stamped the Happy Birthday using the images from the Biggest Wish stamp set and added the DSP offcut from the front piece. I die cut a small hat in Balmy Blue to add to the corner.

Kate, this is not a bundle that appeals to me at all but seeing it used in such a feminine and unique way has really changed my mind. Very clever.

Another brilliant job with the cap die especially the colours used here Kate. And the inside of your card is just lovely and I can’t wait to use the Basic Border dies as they are so versatile as you have shown here.
