Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
A blog hop, also known as blog hopping, is to move from one blog to another, continuing in a full circle to read all the posts by participants in the hop. At the end of each post will be a link to continue to the next blog!
Week 5 – Blackberry Bliss
Today I am using the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to show how it can be used with the Pansy Dies to cut out the images, rather than stamping the pansies.
My card base is Blackberry Bliss as is the stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment (Sweet Ice cream stamp set) and fussy cut. Behind this is some Gold Foil embossed with the Stitched Greenery Die and added on the diagonal in the centre of the card. The die cut pansies and leaves are placed over the joins to cover them, some on dimensionals for height. Some In Color Jewels are added and the Playful Alphabet dies were used to cut the ’60’ also in Blackberry Bliss so as not to stand out too much (the recipient wouldn’t like that!). Although I did add some Wink of Stella to them!
The white layer on the inside of the card is also decorated with a strip of card and a gold embossed strip like on the front.

Oh dear where have I been!. I had no idea the dies could be used on the DSP. I do love that Embossing folder used on the gold as well

Such a beautiful card Kate and I know the recipient will love it, even the very subtle 60 which is just perfect! I love the stitched gold leaves in the middle. Another embossing folder I was trying to resist but I know I will have to get. The Pansies are gorgeous all different sizes and the strip on the inside of the card just the perfect finish for the card.

What a sensational card Kate and so clever to use the dies to cut out all your pansies – how much time did that save? I have to admit I had a giggle about making the 60 subtle as I’ve had a few friends turn 60 and told me they did not want the 60 on the card either! After seeing your card I might just have to add that Stitched Greenery Die to my pre-order tomorrow, you naughty girl!
