Sneak Peek Blessings of Home

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 25 – Mango Melody

Tonight I am sharing a sneak peek of the new Heart & Home Collection; including the Blessings of Home stamp set, Flowers of Home dies, Heart & Home DSP and Classic Matte Dots which will be available in the new January–June 2022 Mini Catalogue available early in the new year. I was very fortunate to attend the OnStage (virtual) event last weekend for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators only. This was one of the Collections that we could preorder last month to use during the event. Mango Melody is not one of the colours in the suite, but I thought it actually worked quite well with this particular patterned paper.

IMG_7050

Mango Melody is a very bright colour and not one I use a lot, but by using it with the watercolour technique, can create a softer tone. This is the only ink colour I used on these petals and Garden Green for the leaves and stem. The outline is stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink on Watercolour Paper. Some Wink of Stella was added to the centre of each flower.

IMG_7052

On the inside I added a layer of Mango Melody card under the white layer with an offcut of the same DSP from the front.

IMG_7053

The Square Vellum Doilies over the Garden Green die cut centre piece (Scalloped Contours dies) adds a layer for the image to really stand out. The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody ink on white card and end ends cut at an angle before popping up on Mini Dimensionals.

Eden’s Garden Collection for Christmas cards

Heart of Christmas Blog Header 2021

Each Monday evening until December, I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hop showcasing our amazing range of holiday products from the Annual and July-December Mini catalogues. Please hop along and enjoy some fabulous inspiration from our talented team!

Tonight I am featuring the new exclusive early release Eden’s Garden Collection from the upcoming 2022 Mini catalogue but these are available to purchase now! In this collection there is the Eden’s Garden Cling stamp set and Eden dies (can be purchased as a bundle to save more), the Ever Eden Specialty DSP, Garden Gems and Ever Eden Cotton Paper.

Card 1 – starting with a white card base, I added two strips of the Ever Eden Specialty DSP on each side. I cut the darker centre strip to 3″ wide and added Gold Metallic paper strips on both sides, before glueing to the centre of the card.

Some Eden die cuts were added behind the sentiment (Christmas to Remember stamp set) in Evening Evergreen ink on a Label Me Lovely punched piece of Soft Succulent card. Some Garden Gems compete be card.

Card 2 – An Evening Evergreen card base with a layer of Soft Succlent card, stamped randomly with the leaves from the Eden’s Garden stamp set. This was then embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing folder and I sponged the edges with a Sponge Dauber and same colour ink. I stamped the larger image on Basic White card and die cut (Seasonal Labels dies).

Three strips of the Ever Eden SDSP were added then the die cut stamped image. A Gold Foil die cut was then added with the Playful Alphabet “NOEL”. I added some Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Evening Evergreen card before diecutting each letter. This makes it easy to remove the backing paper and add to the card!

Feminine Magenta Peony

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 24 – Magenta Madness

This is a really bold colour and can be a bit overwhelming, so tonight I have toned it right down by colouring this flower using the Wink of Stella directly with the ink from the lid of the inkpad. This gives a watercolour look, but also gives it a beautiful sparkle at the same time (not that you can see it in the photos)!!!

The Prized Peony stamp set has this gorgeous large stamped image that is inked in Misty Moonlight ink.

The patterned paper is called Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper and I’ve used the Scalloped Contours dies to the centre piece and the Basic White layer. I made some Faux Resin Dots in Magenta Madness and added some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, tied in a bow.

A Whimsical Christmas

Heart of Christmas Blog Header 2021

Each Monday evening until December, I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hop showcasing our amazing range of holiday products from the Annual and July-December Mini catalogues. Please hop along and enjoy some fabulous inspiration from our talented team!

Tonight I am featuring the Whimsical Trees Bundle and coordinating Whimsy & Wonder Sprecialty SDSP. This pack of Specialty papers is stunning and my favourite for Christmas this year.

You can see I have used many layers of DSP in the background on the Mint Macaron card base. The tree is stamped in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight inks. The sentiment is also stamped in Misty Moonlight and cut out using the Layering Circles Dies. The gifts under the tree are cut from the patterned paper and the narrow smaller trees are cut from Silver Foil, along with the tiny stars!

Easy Tidings of Christmas card

Tonight is a very simple card with Tidings of Christmas designer paper, Red and Green Foil die cuts and a stamped sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink. Sorry about the fuzzy/rough edges of my cardbase, think I may need a new blade on my Paper Trimmer 😜

The Seasonal Labels dies have both these fancy layering labels and the Red Foil one was die cut from the centre of the large background Red Foil layer so as not to waste it (it gets covered up)!

It would be very easy to create multiples of this card if you are running short of time leading up to Christmas!

Did you have a win on the Melbourne Cup yesterday? I don’t follow the horse racing but I am thankful for the day off work and yesterday’s weather was glorious!

Week 23 – Just Jade

This card is created using the product suite, Bloom Where You’re Planted. The Basic Border dies were used to cut either end of the Gray Granite card to create a panel. I used the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks and a Blending Brush to create the pattern with the same colour ink.

Plentiful Plants Bundle by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

The hanging basket is die cut from the Silver Foil and the bow is from the Flowers For Every Season Ribobn Combo Pack. The foliage is stamped in Just Jade and Soft Succulent. The front plant has Wink of Stella on it, but it doesn’t show very well in the photo. The pot in the hanging basket is stamped in Gray Granite.

On the inside a piece of the DSP is added along the bottom and die cut pot and plant from the patterned paper were added with a stamped sentiment.

Heart of Christmas Blog Header 2021

Each Monday evening, I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hop showcasing our amazing range of holiday products from the Annual and July-December Mini catalogues. Please hop along and enjoy some fabulous inspiration from our talented team!

Tonight’s cards feature some pinecones again, which coordinte beautifully with the patterned paper in the background! Pinecone hunting was one of my childhood memories, who could find the biggest one to put in the open fire place of our home.

The Christmas Season bundle and Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper are heavily featured in these cards.

CCBH Highland Heather – Sparkly Playful Alphabet

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 22 – Highland Heather

Tonight I am focusing on using the Playful Alphabet dies as my focus. I chose the Hand-Penned Designer Series Papers and the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP pack, which is the purple in the background. The Pale Papaya panel lightens the card up a little more with the coordinating colour ribbon.

Playful Alphabet Feminine Handmade card for Highland Heather CCBH by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2021

I just adore this piece of floral paper and the Scalloped Rectangle die is perfect for gorgeous feminine cards.

Before die cutting the letters, I placed some adhesive foam sheet on the back of the Highland Heather cardstock before running it through with the dies. This way, you just peel the backing off the foam and adhere each letter to the card (lining them up with a ruler). I really like how they are right justified and it also makesd it easier to get the spacing just right 😉

As you can sort of see in this photo, I added some Wink of Stella for extra sparkle to each of the letters.

On the inside, I added the extra piece of the floral paper (which I did cut the centre out of for the front). Then I added some white card to write my message.
