Sneak Peek Blessings of Home

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 25 – Mango Melody

Tonight I am sharing a sneak peek of the new Heart & Home Collection; including the Blessings of Home stamp set, Flowers of Home dies, Heart & Home DSP and Classic Matte Dots which will be available in the new January–June 2022 Mini Catalogue available early in the new year. I was very fortunate to attend the OnStage (virtual) event last weekend for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators only. This was one of the Collections that we could preorder last month to use during the event. Mango Melody is not one of the colours in the suite, but I thought it actually worked quite well with this particular patterned paper.

Mango Melody is a very bright colour and not one I use a lot, but by using it with the watercolour technique, can create a softer tone. This is the only ink colour I used on these petals and Garden Green for the leaves and stem. The outline is stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink on Watercolour Paper. Some Wink of Stella was added to the centre of each flower.

On the inside I added a layer of Mango Melody card under the white layer with an offcut of the same DSP from the front.

The Square Vellum Doilies over the Garden Green die cut centre piece (Scalloped Contours dies) adds a layer for the image to really stand out. The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody ink on white card and end ends cut at an angle before popping up on Mini Dimensionals.

  1. A gorgeous card Kate, showcasing the new products beautifully. I love your water-colouring. The flower is amazing in Mango Melody and coordinates so well with the DSP. I love all the layers – they work so well together.

  2. Saddle Brown Stazon ink is a great choice for your stamping of this image, Kate … it looks good with the orange and green. The floral spray is beautifully watercoloured, and I love the big scalloped border on the DSP. The square vellum doily works so nicely to soften the Garden Green, and to anchor the die cut flowers.

  3. Oh Kate, what a delightful card to preview this gorgeous new suite. I love the way you’ve picked up the Pale Papaya colours in the DSP as your beautifully coloured flower in Mango Melody coordinates with them beautifully.
