Irresistible Fancy Z-Fold card

Today’s card is an irresistible Z-fold design using the gorgeous Misty Moonlight cardstock (which is retiring on 2 May). I am really sad about this, but we need to look at the positives and to the 5 new colours we will gain with the new Annual catalogue. The patterned paper is the Heart & Home 12×12 DSP and the image is from the Blessings of Home Bundle (Blessings of Home stamp set and Flowers of Home dies).

This entire card uses only 1 sheet of A4 Misty Moonlight cardstock. I share all the Metric measurements at the end of this post so you can make one too!

The image is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and then I coloured the image using my Wink of Stella and the following ink pads; Bumblebee, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight. It is really hard to photograph the glimmer this gives, but by using the Wink of Stella like a paint brush to gently add colour directly from the inkpad, gives the entire image a glorious shine!

Here is the card when open. What a beauty hey?! Don’t forget to stamp on your envelope too – who doesn’t love a pretty envelope in the mail?!

Week 25 – Mango Melody

Tonight I am sharing a sneak peek of the new Heart & Home Collection; including the Blessings of Home stamp set, Flowers of Home dies, Heart & Home DSP and Classic Matte Dots which will be available in the new January–June 2022 Mini Catalogue available early in the new year. I was very fortunate to attend the OnStage (virtual) event last weekend for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators only. This was one of the Collections that we could preorder last month to use during the event. Mango Melody is not one of the colours in the suite, but I thought it actually worked quite well with this particular patterned paper.

Mango Melody is a very bright colour and not one I use a lot, but by using it with the watercolour technique, can create a softer tone. This is the only ink colour I used on these petals and Garden Green for the leaves and stem. The outline is stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink on Watercolour Paper. Some Wink of Stella was added to the centre of each flower.

On the inside I added a layer of Mango Melody card under the white layer with an offcut of the same DSP from the front.

The Square Vellum Doilies over the Garden Green die cut centre piece (Scalloped Contours dies) adds a layer for the image to really stand out. The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody ink on white card and end ends cut at an angle before popping up on Mini Dimensionals.
