Paper Piecing with Beautiful You

Dear Crafters,

Today I have another card using the Beautiful You stamp set but I’ve only stamped the top part of the stamp and altered the dress!

I love this Falling in Love Designer Series paper and with this lace pattern, it just reminded me of a gorgeous lacy dress, so I created a larger dress for this image!

I even paper pieced the hat!

Shaker & Slider Card

Dear Crafters,

Today I have joined the very 1st Colour INKspiration Challenge!

These colours are so delicious I used every single one of them in my interactive card today!

I’ve used the cute Tasty Trucks stamp set (Sale-a-bration freebie) along with the Balloon Adventures and Day at the Beach stamp sets.

Yes there is a lot going on in this card!!!!

I have used the image from the colour challenge and created some cute little shrinky dink icypoles and put them up in the sun to create the shaker card. And who can go past some Wink of Stella to make the sun sparkle!!!!

Oh, and check out the slider part. Pull the orange tab and the truck moves along!

I used my blender pen with inks to colour the truck on Watercolour paper.

I love these colours together, but then again, my favourite colour is blue!

On the left side of the card, I kept the die cut in full, but on the right, I cut out the centre section before adhering it to the card!

Today I have another card using the Beautiful You stamp set but I’ve added another crafty tool to this one and I think I’ve done okay!!!

I love this Designer Series paper and wanted to see how well it went with this stamp set, and I reckon it goes really well, and check out my stitching… yes, I pulled out the old trusty sewing machine and put in some navy thread and added some sewing to my card!!!

The Watercolour Pencils make colouring very easy with the AquaPainter.

and those sentiments, they are just adorable! I have stamped them onto vellum and glued them to the card using Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive.

Those Stitched Shapes Framelits add the extra touch, especially with the scallop circle die behind in vellum!

Happy New Year 2017

Happy New Year!!!

Let’s hope 2017 brings us more joy and happiness than 2016 did.

Today I have the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits with the Watercolour Pencils and AquaPainter!

I just added some of the pencils in a row from top to bottom and then swished the AquaPainter from left to right and down the page. So simple and so effective!

Hula Hoop Girl

Dear Crafters,

Well it is nearly the end of 2016 and in a way, I am glad to see this year over and very much looking forward to a happier and healthier 2017.

Now that Christmas is over, I am now focusing on the brand new products in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues available from 4th January!

Today I have the Beautiful You stamp set. When I first saw this particular image, I just knew she had to have a hula hoop swinging around!

The background was sponged using the Seasonal Decorative Masks which are currently on sale for $7.00. You get 4 masks for that price too. It’s a bargain!!!

To draw the Hula Hoop, I used the inside of the smallest Oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits using a black Sharpie pen!!!

I love these Watercolour Pencils, they make colouring super easy and you can use either the Blender Pen or AquaPainter to blend the colour. I have also added some Wink of Stella to her hat!

Hey chicky, lets shake em!

Happy Boxing Day!

Are you hitting the Boxing Day sales in town or are you staying clear of them like me, and enjoying the peace and quiet at home, stamping?!!!

Today I have a cute shaker card using the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration products available from 4th January!

I think this stamp set Hey, Chick is going to be very popular! These funny little chickens just make me smile 🙂

I love a good shaker card too, so I added some brown rice inside my shaker card. It just reminds me of chicken food lol.

To create the background, I added ink to the embossing folder before running it through the Big Shot. This gives the effect of chicken wire!

I coloured the chickens with our new Watercolour Pencils and used a Blender Pen to blend the colour. You will be totally amazed at how well it works on Whisper White card, Shimmery White card and even better, the Watercolour Paper!

And don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too!
