Christmas Star Gift Box

Dear Crafters,

Today I have the cutest little gift box in the shape of a Christmas Star! But you could use it for any occasion really. I have used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This box doesn’t even require any glue to hold it together, it is such a clever project and is actually much easier than it looks!

I got the inspiration for this from a lady in the USA, Julie DiMatteo of The Paper Pixie. She has some amazing tutorials for the most stunning projects and I happened to catch this one as she was doing a live video and immediately got crafting to make one before I forgot the measurements. You too can watch her video by clicking on her name above.

Whoa, 5 days til Santa arrives…. have you been good? Do you have a Stampin’ Up! Gift Certificate on your list like me?!!!! You can order one by clicking the image below!

Rustic Christmas

Dear Crafters,

Today I continue my Christmas inspiration from the Holiday catalogue using the Musical Season Bundle and the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to do a more rustic Christmas card, but still using some traditional colours for Christmas. I have gone with Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake!

Christmas card using Stampin Ups Musical Season Bundle & Merry Music DSP by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator, Australia. DIY

I love how this sentiment stamped in the Black Memento ink looks with the stamped off Cherry Cobbler Lyre behind! I sponged the edges of this piece with a sponge dauber and crumb cake ink to soften the edges. It is mounted up on Cherry Cobbler card with the ribbon running between them.

Again, I couldn’t leave the little drummer boy off the card, so I stamped him on the inside and on the envelope!

Peace on Earth

Dear Crafters,

Whoa, can you believe it’s only 10 days until Christmas?!!!!

On Monday I shared some quick and easy Christmas cards, and this is another one using similar products, but instead I’m using the Carols of Christmas stamp set.

Some glimmer paper is added a a banner behind the sentiment for some Christmas sparkle and the enamel embellishments are actually left over from last years catalogue, but are the perfect accents.

The inside of the card is stamped with the sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set. A strip of Silver glimmer paper is added at the bottom.

It’s a Musical Season this Christmas

Dear Crafters,

Today I have some more Christmas inspiration for you from the Holiday catalogue using the Musical Season Bundle and the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I just adore this little drummer boy and the instruments die cut with silver foil are just perfect. I added some ribbon across both corners, almost like wrapping a present!

I love how this sentiment stamped in the rich Cherry Cobbler looks with the stamped off Smoky Slate Lyre behind! I stamped this same thing on the inside of both these cards.

The washi tape and the ribbon are both retired, but you can swap them for any other coordinating products you may have in your stash!

The sentiment below was created on a banner using the Triple Banner Punch.

Quick cards so close to Christmas!

Dear Crafters,

Who can believe it is already mid-December? Not me and I am not ready for Christmas to  be here just yet. So I still want to share some of my quick and easy cards for those who still haven’t had time to make them. I’m using the Quilted Christmas DSP and the Merry Little Labels stamp set.

Christmas card using Stampin Ups Merry Little Labels & Quilted Christmas DSP by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator, Australia. DIY.

These cards are basic cutting, stamping and layering.

Sneak peek of Party Pandas

Dear Crafters,

Now that it’s December, being a demonstrator is super cool because we can preorder from the upcoming Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues. Today I am using the Party Pandas stamp set, one of the many new  Sale-a-bration sets due for release in January and you can earn it for FREE with any $90 order!

I stamped the panda image three times, but on the angles so it looks like he is doing a cartwheel!!! Isn’t it just the cutest?!!! I think this will be super popular during Sale-a-bration this year. It certainly was the first set on my order!

I also stamped one panda image on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

Congratulations: In the City

Hello friends,

Today I take you back to the Annual catalogue and one of the Hostess stamp sets, In the City!

I’ve had this in my collection for a little while and it has never been inked up, so I thought it was time to get it out and give it some love. I think with 60 stamps in the set, it scared me a little, but wow, it was so quick and easy to use. I will definitely be giving it some more love over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

In the City Stamp Set (60 stamps!)

Stampin Up In the City by Craft with Kate, Independent Demonstrator, Australia Congratulations Handmade Card DIY

I love all the colours in this card; Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Sweet Sugarplum, Tempting Turquoise and Wisteria Wonder. It’s like a lolly shop of candy colours!!!

I poked a hole in the tail of the plane and threaded some twine through and secured it at the back of the card before gluing it to the LLT card layer. The twine is adhered to the banner with glue dots.  The sentiment is from the Best Birds stamp set.

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card and the envelope to coordinate. It’s so much fun to get this sort of happy mail in the post box, don’t you agree?!

I cased this based on a card by Candy Ford. Thanks for the inspiration!

You may also notice some new ribbons… yes, they will be available in the upcoming Occasions catalogue. I was lucky enough to receive some at our recent OnStage event.

  • Berry Burst 1cm Metallic Edged Ribbon

You have to see them in real life, just to see how stunning they are.

The scissor bling is attached to some little phone charm cords that I purchased on eBay.

FUN FACT
How did we come up with the name Stamparatus?
We landed on an innovative name by combining two words that speak to the end use of the tool as well as Stampin’ Up! branding.
Stamp: To impress a pattern or mark (especially an official one) on a surface, object, or document using an engraved or inked block or die or other instrument
Apparatus: The technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose
Stamp + Apparatus = Stamparatus

Make sure you watch the video to see how it works with Photopolymer and Clear Mount red rubber stamps! The plates are removable, flip up and down, side to side, no other stamp positioning tool can do that!!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3teCr7Xo4G8

I will be reserving mine at 8am tomorrow for sure!!!!
