Congratulations: In the City

Hello friends,

Today I take you back to the Annual catalogue and one of the Hostess stamp sets, In the City!

I’ve had this in my collection for a little while and it has never been inked up, so I thought it was time to get it out and give it some love. I think with 60 stamps in the set, it scared me a little, but wow, it was so quick and easy to use. I will definitely be giving it some more love over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

In the City Stamp Set (60 stamps!)

I love all the colours in this card; Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Sweet Sugarplum, Tempting Turquoise and Wisteria Wonder. It’s like a lolly shop of candy colours!!!

I poked a hole in the tail of the plane and threaded some twine through and secured it at the back of the card before gluing it to the LLT card layer. The twine is adhered to the banner with glue dots.  The sentiment is from the Best Birds stamp set.

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card and the envelope to coordinate. It’s so much fun to get this sort of happy mail in the post box, don’t you agree?!

I cased this based on a card by Candy Ford. Thanks for the inspiration!

Christmas Critters

Dear Crafters,

Today’s card uses one of the Hostess stamp sets, Cozy Critters.

This is a very quick and simple Christmas card, but one that the kids will love to help you to create.

And I love the use of primary colours to create a fun pile of gifts and the hanging ornaments. You know, sometimes it is the quick and easy cards you create, can be some of the ones you recreate over and over again.

Best Thoughts

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a floral card created with the Hostess stamp set, Best Thoughts.

Best Thoughts Card #stampinup

I stamped the image on White card stock with Black ink and coloured it with Blender pens using Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz ink pads. I started by colouring all the petals and then going back over the bottom part of each petal and making it darker!

Best Thoughts close up #stampinup

I layered the white card onto Blushing Bride card stock then onto the base card of Pear Pizzazz. I added the sentiment in black ink and added 2 rhinestones to the top.

Kissing Technique

Morning Stampers,

Today I want to show you a card using the Kissing technique.

This is a very effective stamping style and I love it. Simply ink the flower stamp with Pistachio Pudding Stampin’ Ink, then ink the blossom branch with Strawberry Slush and stamp (kiss) it directly on top of the flower stamp before placing the double inked flower stamp onto the white cardstock. Repeat this process across the white card for a wonderful background.

This is one technique that is great for a workshop. Stay tuned for a date to be set soon.
