Christmas Star Gift Box

Dear Crafters,

Today I have the cutest little gift box in the shape of a Christmas Star! But you could use it for any occasion really. I have used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This box doesn’t even require any glue to hold it together, it is such a clever project and is actually much easier than it looks!

I got the inspiration for this from a lady in the USA, Julie DiMatteo of The Paper Pixie. She has some amazing tutorials for the most stunning projects and I happened to catch this one as she was doing a live video and immediately got crafting to make one before I forgot the measurements. You too can watch her video by clicking on her name above.

Whoa, 5 days til Santa arrives…. have you been good? Do you have a Stampin’ Up! Gift Certificate on your list like me?!!!! You can order one by clicking the image below!

Quick cards so close to Christmas!

Dear Crafters,

Who can believe it is already mid-December? Not me and I am not ready for Christmas to  be here just yet. So I still want to share some of my quick and easy cards for those who still haven’t had time to make them. I’m using the Quilted Christmas DSP and the Merry Little Labels stamp set.

These cards are basic cutting, stamping and layering.

Some glimmer paper is also added for some Christmas sparkle and the enamel embellishments are actually left over from last years catalogue, but are the perfect accents.

and this is what I stamped on the inside of each of the cards. I really love this sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set.

The Heart of Christmas, Week 18

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 18 of The Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My project today uses the Merry Little Labels stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Label punch to create this Christmas card!

Here I have embossed the background card using the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, before adding a large banner of the Quilted Christmas Designer paper with a piece of the black lace trim tied around it.

The sentiment, No Peeking is stamped with Versamark ink and silver embossed on the black card. The new Everyday Label punch is the perfect match to punch it out and adhere with dimensionals.

The sentiment inside the card, is exactly what we do on Christmas day; eat, drink and be merry! lol

A small piece of silver glimmer and the 3 little rhinestones just finish it off, don’t you agree?

The Heart of Christmas, Week 16

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 16 of The Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My project today uses the Merry Little Labels stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Label punch to create a wine bottle tag! I find that giving a bottle of wine or champagne as a Christmas gift so much easier, and what a perfect way to dress it up with a beautiful handmade tag.

I used some retired Core’dinations card for the tag, but you can just switch it out for Pool Party cardstock. The Designer Paper is the Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ pack in the Holiday catalogue. The stamping of the images are done using Stampin’ Write Markers. This is a great way of using markers directly on the stamp to get different colours in the one impression!

The Banner Triple punch is awesome for creating those perfect banners!
