Farewell, Flowers, Stampin' Up!

Farewell card using Stampin’ Up!s Painted Harvest

Hello Friends,

My project today uses the Painted Harvest stamp set to create a Farewell card.

Farewell card using Stampin Up Painted Harvest, by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator, Australia. Fancy #makeacardsendacard upright.JPG

The base card is Night of Navy and the flowers are stamped in Night of Navy, Dapper Denim and Pool Party. The centre of the flowers are stamped with Soft Suede. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz.

I also stamped the flower and leaves on the inside of the card.

The sentiment was created on the computer and printed in Night of Navy using the RGB codes and I used the retired Word Window punch (still a favourite).

The gingham ribbon gives that country look, but still coordinating with the flowers!

Designer Paper isn’t just for cards and scrapbooking!

Hello Friends,

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! is not all about cardmaking and scrapbooking, but we can make many other crafty projects too? Well today’s project features the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. #cutitnothoardit

I don’t know about you, but here in Australia it has been very cold and we are welcoming any sort of warmer weather now that it is the beginning of Spring, and what better way to celebrate, than with this stunning Designer Paper.

What a great gift idea these would make for Mother’s Day, Birthday’s or even as a special Thank You or Happy Retirement gift. They are very easy to make if you have the right tools and a little creativity.

The Heart of Christmas, Week 16

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 16 of The Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My project today uses the Merry Little Labels stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Label punch to create a wine bottle tag! I find that giving a bottle of wine or champagne as a Christmas gift so much easier, and what a perfect way to dress it up with a beautiful handmade tag.

Merry Little Labels by Craft with Kate, Independent Demonstrator Australia. 2017 Holiday catalogue. DIY Gift Tags for wine.JPG

I used some retired Core’dinations card for the tag, but you can just switch it out for Pool Party cardstock. The Designer Paper is the Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ pack in the Holiday catalogue. The stamping of the images are done using Stampin’ Write Markers. This is a great way of using markers directly on the stamp to get different colours in the one impression!

The Banner Triple punch is awesome for creating those perfect banners!

Coffee break anyone?

Hello Friends,

My project today uses the Coffee Cafe stamp set and coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits dies, and the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. #cutitnothoardit

Handmade Card using Stampin Ups Coffee Cafe by Craft with Kate Independent Demonstrator Australia 2017

I love this coordinating Designer paper and the new Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape, which you can see two thin strips of the copper across either side of the heart paper. The Garden Trellis embossing folder was used on the coffee cup wrap which adds some lovely texture. The lid of the cup is some retired paper from a few years ago, but it was a little off cut that worked perfectly for this project!

The Copper Trim ties in nicely with the washi tape too!

How cool is it that the images on the Designer Series Paper can also be die cut with the coordinating dies!!! I love this new feature of Stampin’ Up!

Card for the coffee addict!

Hello Friends,

My project today uses the Coffee Cafe stamp set and coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits dies, and the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. #cutitnothoardit

I made this card for one of my closest friends for her birthday last week. We try to get together weekly for coffee, so I thought this was kind of appropriate 😉

Angela also loves blue, so what better colours to use than Soft Sky, teamed with browns with white.

The Heart of Christmas, Week 15

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 15 of The Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My project today uses the Musical Season the stamp set and the coordinating dies, Musical Instruments Framelits and the Emboss Resist Technique.

Christmas Card using Stampin Ups Musical Season by Craft with Kate Independent Demonstrator Australia 2017 flat.jpg

I used Versamark ink to stamp the foliage onto white card, then added white embossing powder and heat set it. I used a sponge brayer with Pear Pizzazz ink over the top to give this gorgeous, subtle look. The little drummer boy was inked in black and die cut and added with dimensionals. The sentiment was added using a black Stampin’ Write Marker directly to each of the words, cleaned and repeated to allow each one amongst the foliage! I used a sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink to edge this layer before adding the strip of mini sequin trim and adhering this layer to the Pear Pizzazz card.

I love this little drummer boy… I think of the carol every time I see this image and start singing… par rum pa pa pum!!!

The inside of the card was stamped in the coordinating colours!

The Heart of Christmas, Week 14

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Sorry I missed doing a Christmas themed post last week, but things were a bit busy and I was in hospital having my infusion on the Thursday and didn’t have such a pleasant experience and took a little longer to recovery (long story, but not my usual nurse to put in the cannula!). Anyway, I am back, so welcome to Week 15 of The Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My project today uses the Musical Season the stamp set and the coordinating dies, Musical Instruments Framelits, Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Bridge Fold Technique.

Tutorials for this Bridge Fold technique can be found on YouTube. There are quite a few and I have adapted the measurements to our Australian cardstock sizes. Click here for my written tutorial!

Here is the back of the card, where you can write your message. I have added the harp stamped in smoky slate and die cut.

Stampin’ Up! Classic Father’s Day card

Hello Friends,

Today I focus on a Masculine card, because here in Australia, we celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday. This card I am sharing with you, was a very straight forward card to create!

To a Classic masculine card using Stampin Ups Guy Greetings by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia. Craft with Kate

The 1-1/4″ Burlap ribbon has retired, but it was the perfect width for behind this circle!

After I photographed this card, I went back and coloured the image with my AquaPainter and some Crumb Cake ink for some extra colour.

To a Classic masculine card using Stampin Ups Guy Greetings by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia. Craft with Kate angle

I hope you like my card today and I must give thanks to Annette Elliott who I cased it from. Thank you, Annette!
