I stamped the image on White card stock with Black ink and coloured it with Blender pens using Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz ink pads. I started by colouring all the petals and then going back over the bottom part of each petal and making it darker!

Best Thoughts close up #stampinup

I layered the white card onto Blushing Bride card stock then onto the base card of Pear Pizzazz. I added the sentiment in black ink and added 2 rhinestones to the top.

Have you heard about the GREAT opportunity to earn more as a hostess (or get a greater discount on your Starter Kit by putting your hostess benefits towards the starter kit) between 8th October to 9th November. There’s no greater time to host a party or even a virtual party on Facebook. Contact me to find out more. You will love being part of our awesome Australia wide team. We are all about fun, friendship, inspiration and support.

You have come to my blog from the very talented, Jenny van Dijk.  Blogs are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

AWHT Colour Challenge #stampinup

Now let’s get started!

For my first project today I am using the Retiform Technique. There are loads of tutorials on YouTube how to create this stylish background. Basically, you start by placing post it notes across the white card and sponging with ink.

#stampinup Everything Eleanor

I used the Everything Eleanor stamp over the top with Blackberry Bliss ink for a bold and striking design.

#stampinup Everything Eleanor

My next card uses the No Bones About It stamp set, but taking on a feminine twist!

These dinosaur roam through the forest, created using the Woodland embossing folder. I stamped the images directly onto the folder before embossing!

My last project uses the Build a Birthday stamp set.

Build a Birthday Cake #stampinup

I love how quick and easy this card was to make and adding some of the gorgeous Dotted Lace Trim as the top layer, certainly gives it a feminine feel. I felt it looked a little plain, so I did a pretty paper piercing border around the edge.

The butterfly with the pearl accent was added, reminding me of my own wedding cake!

Perfect Angel

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a simple card with this gorgeous angel from the stamp set, Christmas Cuties.

#stampinup Christmas Cuties Angel

I used the brand new Black Archival ink to stamp the image on whisper white cardstock and fussy cut her out. Then I coloured her with Stampin’ Write Markers.

I layered the DSP on the Mint Macaron card base, and added a silver doilie. Then the silver banner was added, before the white banner with the scallop tag topper punch at the top.

Don’t you just love how that doilie shines in the light? Cute hey!

Baby Crib

Dear Crafters,

Baby Girl Card #stampinup

Check out this cute baby girl card in the shape of a baby crib!

I saw something similar on Pinterest but they didn’t have instructions on how to make it, so my effort was totally trial and error, but I’m sure I will make another for a boy, so I will take note of all my measurements.

Baby Girl Card #stampinup     Baby Girl Card #stampinup

I figured it was similar to the card in a box style, so I worked it from there. The ends are 2″ wide and cut with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. The Hearts Border punch was also used to cut the pink trim.

This card does lie flat and fits into the Stampin’ Up! C6 envelopes!

Baby Girl Card #stampinup

I used the Made With Love stamp set and coordinating Baby’s First Framelits Dies, using So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Mint Macaron as my colour theme.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope to coordinate with your card!

Gift Card Holder

Dear Crafters,

Gift Card Holder #stampinup

Today I share a couple of gift card holders (cased from Claire Daly) which are very simple to make.

You can create 3 of these from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock by cutting it vertically at 7cm x 29.7cm!

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to die cut the end of the card, then score it at 3-1/8″ and 7-3/4″.

Emboss the opposite end to the framelit cut end and adhere Stampin’ Up! Tear and Tape to create a pouch. (This tape can be cut vertically so you have a very thin strip, otherwise the gift card won’t fit in!)

Create a belly band that slips over to hold it shut and decorate however you like. I have used the 2-3/8″ Scallop circle punch and added some embellishments. The ice-cream is the Sprinkles of Life stamp set which can be found on the back page of the AC.

Christmas Mint

Dear Crafters,

Embellished Ornaments #stampinup

Today I have used the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set and the Christmas Greetings ThinlitsDelicate Ornament Thinlits dies.

My card base is Mint Macaron cardstock stamped with the coordinating inkpad. The sentiment is die cut from gold foil and the baubles are die cut from Black Glimmer Paper and the In Colour Paper stack.

Some gold cording trim was tied in a bow and added with a glue dot (rolled up).
