Everything Eleanor

Dear Crafters,

Sale-a-bration may be over, but the Occasions & Annual Catalogues still provide us with so much to choose from, so let’s have a look and see what else we can create!

Today I enter a sketch challenge at Just Add Ink, #305!

jaisketch_2018

I started with a Crumb Cake card base which I embossed with the Elegant Dots TIEF.

I stamped a piece of Whisper White card with Crumb Cake ink using the Everything Eleanor stamp set, before slicing it into 1 1/2″ strips. I sponged the edges with a dauber and the Crumb Cake ink, before adhering it to another piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I wrapped a piece of coordinating ribbon around it and added a bow.

I stamped the flower image 3 times using the masking technique and fussy cut them out. I used my Wink of Stella (clear) brush dipped in some Blushing Bride ink to colour them. I’m not sure you can see the shine in the photos?!!!!

I stamped the bird in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card stock and fussy cut it and added it to the card with dimensionals.

Lastly, I added some Dazzling Details to the stamen.

It is school holidays here in Australia and my 9 year old also wanted to have a go at this challenge, so here is her card. She created this all by herself without any help what-so-ever from me. I was quite impressed!

AWHT Colour Challenge #stampinup

Now let’s get started!

For my first project today I am using the Retiform Technique. There are loads of tutorials on YouTube how to create this stylish background. Basically, you start by placing post it notes across the white card and sponging with ink.

#stampinup Everything Eleanor

I used the Everything Eleanor stamp over the top with Blackberry Bliss ink for a bold and striking design.

#stampinup Everything Eleanor

My next card uses the No Bones About It stamp set, but taking on a feminine twist!

These dinosaur roam through the forest, created using the Woodland embossing folder. I stamped the images directly onto the folder before embossing!

My last project uses the Build a Birthday stamp set.

I love how quick and easy this card was to make and adding some of the gorgeous Dotted Lace Trim as the top layer, certainly gives it a feminine feel. I felt it looked a little plain, so I did a pretty paper piercing border around the edge.

The butterfly with the pearl accent was added, reminding me of my own wedding cake!

Retirement

Dear Crafters,

Well, my in-laws arrived yesterday (and no it’s not a bad thing, lol, I get along very well with them. She is also a SU demo!). But I had to wait until now to share this little creation with you, as my Mother-in-law has retired after many, many years being a Business Manager in a school in her country Victorian town. I needed something different and saw something similar but there were no instructions, so it took ages to cut and score and put together!!!!

Anyway, here it is!

Teapot     Teapot

Can you tell it is a teapot? I sure hope so. My Mother-in-law loves her cups of tea, so what better type of card to make for her.

Teapot

I am not entirely happy with the spout, as it was a bit tricky!

Teapot     Teapot

I have used Primrose Petals (retired) card stock and stamped Everything Eleanor with Soft Suede ink.

I used the Ovals Framelits to create the handle!

Then for the big reveal, when you open it up, you see this!

Teapot

The Whisper White card is embossed the new Spring Flowers TIEF which will be available during Sale-a-bration, starting 6th January 2015. I have left one side blank, as that is where I will attach the written message (that you don’t really need to see).

I used the Spiral Flower Original die in Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple (r) card stock. The leaves are die cut using the Flower Frenzy Bigz L die with Garden Green card stock.

Teapot

What do you think of this interesting creation? Something different, but I certainly wouldn’t be making loads of these, just for very special occasions and I think Retirement is certainly one of those!

Have a wonderful Christmas day tomorrow and a safe and healthy 2015!

Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration starts on 6 January 2015. If you would like to see the catalogue before then, I can happily mail it to you!

Everything Eleanor

Hello Crafters,

A few days ago I shared a card with you that I fell in love with and today I share with you another card using the background stamp, I Love Lace and Everything Eleanor, but in different colour tones.

I think this one is probably even more girly than the last one!

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

I have stamped the I Love Lace with Versamark ink and clear embossed it on Pink Pirouette cardstock. This is mounted onto white card and then Pink Pirouette card.

The blooms are from Everything Eleanor, and they are inked with Pink Pirouette on white card and fussy cut and sponged with ink.

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

I also sponged some ink of the same tones to the centre of each bloom.

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

The sentiment is from the Bloom with Hope Hostess Stamp Set. The ribbon is the new Seam Binding Ribbon available now from the new catalogue!

The pearls just finish it off perfectly!

But check out that background lace stamp, it is just so pretty and feminine!!!

I Love Lace

Hello Crafters,

Today I share with you a new stamp in the annual catalogue and it is a background stamp called I Love Lace.

I love that is gives a really girly, old worldy feel to the card, and it can be used for so many things. Check it out!

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

I have stamped the I Love Lace using Crumb Cake ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and it is mounted onto Crumb Cake card and then Soft Suede card.

The blooms are from a stamp set called Everything Eleanor, and it has been around for a little while now, but I have only just got my hands on it. I really can’t answer why I have got it now, as it is just stunning!

The flourish and blooms are stamped in Soft Suede ink and the flowers are fussy cut and adhered with a dimensional.

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

I also sponged some ink of the same tones to the centre of each bloom.

I Love Lace & Everything Eleanor

The sentiment is from Petite Pairs Stamp Set.

But look at that background lace stamp, I just love it!!!
