Who loves donuts or cookies?

Hello Friends,

My project today is was inspired by Connie Tumm from the USA.

Personally, when I first saw this card, I saw those yummy, sweet, fancy jam biscuits, but so many others just saw donuts, so I’m happy to go with either!!!!

This is my version of the card and we made this at my last class with a lovely group of ladies who loved it! They had so much fun making them and they are made donuts!!!

I personally don’t eat donuts, but I do know they come with chocolate, vanilla & strawberry icing with sprinkles on top, so that is what we made.

The card base is chocolate chip, with Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette for the other layers. We used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the oval from the centre of the card.

Some of these punches have retired, but I will always keep them as they come in handy for so many projects just like this! The 3/8″ circle punch was also used for the centre of the each donut!

Ice-cream with a cherry on top!

Dear Crafters,

Oh, what a messy technique, but the outcome has such a variation and you can get so many designs from one go!

The Shaving Cream technique is one that I do not use regularly but it was part of a challenge for some swaps in our team and I didn’t want to waste the extra pieces that I printed, so I came up with another card to share with you, using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder Punch.

I used Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum reinkers into the shaving cream and swirled them around. I used shimmery white card to place into the shaving cream, lift it up and scrape the excess cream off with my pastry scraper (yes, it works great for this technique). Then I used some paper towel to buff it up and see the shimmer of the card.

Don’t these ice-creams look so yummy?!!! They remind me of the Sara Lee Blueberry Cheesecake ice-cream that is a favourite in our house. You really must try it, it is awesome!

And are you wondering how I did the cone?

Well, when we receive our Stampin’ Up! orders in a Big Brown Box, there is all that brown paper protecting our products…. it comes in handy, let me tell you!

You can scrunch it up and then glue it (or use JAC paper) to a piece of card and squash it flat. Stamp the image on it and then cut out the cone with paper snips.  Such a great way to add extra dimension to the cone!

What do you think of today’s projects?

Why don’t you give the baby wipe technique a go!

Gift Card Holder

Dear Crafters,

Gift Card Holder #stampinup

Today I share a couple of gift card holders (cased from Claire Daly) which are very simple to make.

You can create 3 of these from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock by cutting it vertically at 7cm x 29.7cm!

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to die cut the end of the card, then score it at 3-1/8″ and 7-3/4″.

Emboss the opposite end to the framelit cut end and adhere Stampin’ Up! Tear and Tape to create a pouch. (This tape can be cut vertically so you have a very thin strip, otherwise the gift card won’t fit in!)

Create a belly band that slips over to hold it shut and decorate however you like. I have used the 2-3/8″ Scallop circle punch and added some embellishments. The ice-cream is the Sprinkles of Life stamp set which can be found on the back page of the AC.

Spread the Love

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you another sneak peek of a product in the new Annual Catalogue which starts tomorrow!!! YAY!!!!

This stamp set is called Sprinkles of Life, but yes, I have used it in a different way to the card I showed you last Wednesday. If you missed it, you can view it here.

This set is so versatile, you will see why in a minute.

This stamp set is photopolymer, so it is completely clear so you can stamp exactly where you want without using the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

Sprinkles of Life

The base card is Tip Top Taupe with a layer of the gorgeous new lace ribbon in Watermelon Wonder and a banner in the same colour. Then a layer of Cucumber Crush and Whisper White on top.

I stamped the clouds in Mint Macaron, along with the leaves on the tree top. There is also a layer of Cucumber Crush leaves on the tree, and the trunk is Tip Top Taupe. I have managed to use all of the brand new 2015-2017 In Colours on this card, the last colour being Delightful Dijon in the flowers!

As previously mentioned in my previous post, the Tree Punch coordinates with this stamp set and that is how the little silver glitter bird was cut.

I would love you to comment below with your thoughts on this card.

Don’t forget that the Retired Product List is still available until tomorrow, so click here to shop online 24/7!

I also want to remind you that the end date for the 2014-2015 annual catalogue is tomorrow, 2 June! The brand new catalogue starts tomorrow, so there is 1 day cross-over for both catalogues. This hasn’t happened before, so make the most of the extra Hostess Benefits.

Sprinkles of Life

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you another sneak peek of some new product in the Annual Catalogue which starts 2 June!

This stamp set I use today is the Ronald McDonald House Charities set for this year. Stampin’ Up! donates time and money to support RMHC. To date, we’ve contributed over $1,000,000 to RMHC and their network of local RMHC Chapters. RMHC keeps families together and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home.

Buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 from every sale to RMHC.

But the bonus is that there is a coordinating punch!

Who doesn’t love ice-cream, right?!!!  It is certainly a special treat in our house and my kids love this card I am about to share with you today.

This stamp set is photopolymer, so it is completely clear so you can stamp exactly where you want it to be! Love, love, love my photopolymer stamps!!!

Sprinkles of Life

The base card is Pool Party with a layer of Strawberry Slush, then a layer of Watercolour paper. I stamped the ice-cream scoops onto Watercolour paper in the above inks and used my Aqua-painters to water colour the centres.

I used the coordinating Tree Builder Punch to cut them out. This makes cardmaking so easy!

Now, you know when your order of Stampin’ Up! goodies arrives at your door in a Big Brown Box and all that extra brown paper, well….. that brown paper does come in handy some times! Check out the cone – I scrunched up some of that brown paper and then flattened it slightly and put it on some card that has lots of rows of Fast Fuse on it. It sticks really well. Then I stamp the cone image and cut it out!

Sprinkles of Life

I added the ice-cream scoops and the happy birthday banner with dimensionals. The small pole is just a toothpick!

I absolutely love this set and know that you will too, especially once I share some other projects over the next few months as I am sure to make plenty with this set!

I would love you to comment below with your thoughts on this card.

Don’t forget that the Retired Product List is still available so click here to shop online 24/7!

I also want to remind you that the end date for the 2014-2015 annual catalogue has changed from 30 June to 2 June! So be prepared for this change and get those orders in before the items run out.
