Dear Crafters,
Oh, what a messy technique, but the outcome has such a variation and you can get so many designs from one go!
The Shaving Cream technique is one that I do not use regularly but it was part of a challenge for some swaps in our team and I didn’t want to waste the extra pieces that I printed, so I came up with another card to share with you, using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder Punch.
I used Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum reinkers into the shaving cream and swirled them around. I used shimmery white card to place into the shaving cream, lift it up and scrape the excess cream off with my pastry scraper (yes, it works great for this technique). Then I used some paper towel to buff it up and see the shimmer of the card.
Don’t these ice-creams look so yummy?!!! They remind me of the Sara Lee Blueberry Cheesecake ice-cream that is a favourite in our house. You really must try it, it is awesome!
And are you wondering how I did the cone?
Well, when we receive our Stampin’ Up! orders in a Big Brown Box, there is all that brown paper protecting our products…. it comes in handy, let me tell you!
You can scrunch it up and then glue it (or use JAC paper) to a piece of card and squash it flat. Stamp the image on it and then cut out the cone with paper snips. Such a great way to add extra dimension to the cone!
What do you think of today’s projects?
Why don’t you give the baby wipe technique a go!
