Pop Up Z Fold Block Card

This Pop Up Z Fold Block card uses the Sending Smiles Bundle with the retired Rings of Love DSP, a Level 1 SAB patterned paper pack from Jan-Feb 2022.

I saw a card by Lisa Curcio, which is where I got this idea and you can see her imperial measurements here. My metric measurements are listed below and mine fits into a C6 envelope!

My card base is Night of Navy with Mint Macaron matt layers and the Rings of Love DSP. The Sending Dies were used for the ‘sending’ die cut which I used Adhesive Sheet on the back of the card before cutting, so it acts as a sticker! This is so much easier than getting glue everywhere with such intricate dies. I used a Sponge Dauber to apply some Mint Macaron ink around the Basic White layer to soften the edges before adding the stamp/die cut sentiment. Some Festive Pearls were added to finish it off.

Beautifully Happy Sneak Peek

2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 30 – Mint Macaron

Initially I created a fancy fold card for this post, but as I began to type, I realised I had used a retired SAB designer paper, oops. I’ll share that card with you tomorrow!

Today’s card is created using a new stamp set, Beautifully Happy, that I received at our recent demonstrator event, OnStage. This stamp set is a Sale•a•bration item that can be earned free with a qualifying order in Jan/Feb 2023. It is a distinktive stamp, meaning it gives a photo realistic style with lot of depth and dimension without needing two or three step stamping.

A Mint Macaron card base with a layer of Gingham Cottage DSP which has been embossed with the Stitched Greenery die through my die cutting Machine. The Framed Florets die is cut in Basic White and Orchid Oasis ink applied with a Blending Brush. A double bow of Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon is added with a Glue Dot.

The floral image is stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with Mint Macaron, Orchid Oasis and Mango Melody inks. I used Paper Snips to fussy cut the image and applied Mini Dimensionals to add it to my card. The sentiment is stamped and fussy cut also and added the same way with Mini Dimensionals. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers (it doesn’t show in the photos). Some Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels are added for some extra sparkle!

On the inside I added a Basic White layer with an offcut of the Stitched Greenery embossed Gingham Cottage DSP.

Butterflies, feminine, Flowers, Handmade Cards

Definitely Dahlia

Dear Crafters,

Definitely Dahlia #stampinup

Today I share a card with only one colour using the background stamp, Definitely Dahlia (pg 129 AC)!

My base is Mint Macaron card stock with a layer of Whisper White card and a strip of the 2015-2017 In Colour DSP Stack.

The image is stamped with Mint Macaron ink onto the white card. This is so quick to make and super effective. I love its simplicity and how versatile, whether it be Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You or even a Farewell card!

The gorgeous White Satin Robbin tied in a knot adds femininity.

I added some butterflies, using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches. The smaller butterfly was stamped first using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

Turtle time

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card made using the Happy Patterns Decorative Masks, not only to create my background, but also it reminded me of the shell of a turtle. So that is what I did!

Stampin Up Turtle Happy Patterns

I have used Lost Lagoon and Mint Macaron as my colour scheme. I inked over the mask in the lighter colour first, then slightly moved the mask and inked with the darker shade.

My turtle shell is the Tree Builder punch, his legs and head are the Word Window punch.

Isn’t he just the cutest?!!!!!
