Week 40 – Pool Party
Today I hasve 2 cards for you!
Card 1
Features the Hot Air Balloon bundle and the coordiating Lighter Than Air DSP. The colours in this DSP pack are just stunning from the Subtles and Brights collection.
A piece of the DSP covers the front of the Thick Basic White card front. Two Scalloped Contours dies layer togther on Dimensionals and glued to the card front.
The hot air balloon is die cut from one of the pieces of DSP (I love that Stampin’ Up! do this). This is added on Dimensionals as are the clouds. The sentiments are stamped in Pool Party ink and some Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots added.

Card 2
The Notes of Nature Bundle is one that really appeals to me, but I’m not a confident crafter when it comes to this style. In saying that, I’m happy with the result. I watched Emma Goddard make a card recently so I have cased her design but used different colours and papers.
I started with stamping the larger leaf image a few times on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Versamark, added Silver Emboss Powder and melted it with my Heat Tool. I also diecut other finer leaves so I could also watercolour them. I used Pool Party & Highland Heather inks with my Water Painters. Some of the finer diecut leaves, I dabbed them on my Versamark inkpad and added Silver Emboss Powder. I think they came out beautifully.
On the Highland Heather card base, is a piece of DSP from the Softly Stippled 12×12 DSP (free with a $90+ product order during Saleabration 2024). This has been brushed with Pool Party ink, then stamped with the dotty stamp and Silver Embossed. I also used a Sponge Dauber and added Highland Heather ink around the edges. The top layer is Pool Party cardstock, brushed with both colours of ink and stamped. I diecut the holes down the left side and roughed up the edges with open Paper Snips.
Now that I have all the layers glued together I added another strip of the DSP across the centre then started gluing the leaves. Some are added on Dimensionals, but mostly glued. The sentiment is fussy cut and added on doubled up dimensionals. A silver Simply Elegant Trim bow is added on a glue dot.
On the inside is a basic white layer, a sponge dauber added ink around the edges and then another of the watercoloured leaves added in the corner.
