Confetti Art

Dear Crafters,

Today I have another Shaker card using lots of new products from the Annual Catalogue. This one has more of a masculine feel to it, using the gorgeous Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy In Colours.

Playful Palette, Sprinkles Punch, Thoughtful Banners, Layered Squares Framelits, #stampinup

The base card I stamped first with the little lights at the top and then the stars all over the card, leaving a blank space where the easel is to go. The easel is stamped and then I die cut the centre using the Layered Square framelits and then fussy cut the easel.

The sentiment is from the new Thoughtful Banners stamp set and the coordinating Dual Banner punch.

Playful Palette, Sprinkles Punch, Thoughtful Banners, Layered Squares Framelits, #stampinup

The bits inside the shaker are created using the new Sprinkles punch. The new foam adhesive strips make creating shaker cards so much easier, be sure to get some in your next order.

And check out that gorgeous ruched ribbon. Can you see the Wink of Stella on the little stars?! You know me, even though it’s a masculine card, a little sparkle on the stars was a must! lol

Lovely as a Tree

Dear Crafters,

Today I focus on the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, as it is always a point of discussion when a new catalogue is made available to demonstrators!

I wasn’t able to attend the recent Stampin’ Up! event on the weekend and so I have no idea if this set has made it into the new annual catalogue or not.

Anyway, I am going to give it a plug anyway as it has been around for many years and is such a versatile stamp set for so many occasions, but today a masculine theme for some sympathy cards.

Here we go!

My colour scheme for this one is very monotone in Basic Gray and Smoky Slate!

and this next one is using Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card & envelope too!

I can’t wait to find out if this has made it into the new catalogue, but I guess I will find out tomorrow when, we as demonstrators, can view it online before everyone else!!!! I can’t wait to see what is new and what is retiring, one of the benefits of being a demonstrator, is finding out first!

Skater Girl

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you a card I was commissioned to make for a work colleague who requested a card for her daughter who loves skateboarding!

Here’s what I came up with:

IMG_4644

To begin, I stamped the skateboard from the Skating By stamp set and then the female figure from the Hey Girl stamp set.

I coloured the images with Copic markers, but stamped the female image onto some Brights Collection DSP and cut out the dress only and glued it on the stamped image for a pretty patterned dress! What a clever idea, hey!!!

IMG_4646

The balloon was also stamped onto DSP and cut out using the Balloon Bouquet punch, then added with a dimensional.

IMG_4645

Don’t forget to add am image to the inside of the card and coordinate the envelope to match. I thought this cute floral image was perfect.

Designer/Patterned/Specialty Papers (DSP), feminine, Flowers, Stampin' Up!, Techniques & Tutorials

Sunburst Corner

Dear Crafters,

Today I shane another of the projects that we did last week during my Techniques class, the Sunburst Technique.

IMG_4657

I once again focused on using the Wildflower Fields DSP and the coordinating Flowering Fields stamp set.

The Wink of Stella pen was also used on the stamped flower, although it is very hard to see in the photo, but it is so shiny with a bit of sparkle!

I also did some paper piercing along the edges of sun rays for some added detail.

IMG_4659

I love this technique, it just shows off our gorgeous Designer Series Papers so well!

Here’s another variation using the very pretty, Love Blossoms DSP!

Masculine, Memory Keeping/Project Life/Scrapbooking, Stampin' Up!

Aloha

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a bit of news with you that I haven’t informed you about. I am actually not at home blogging this week, as I am in Hawaii with my hubby celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary!

Anyhow, I will share some photos with you in the coming weeks when I return and scrapbook/Project Life our journey, but in the meantime, here is the card I gave to my hubby on Saturday.

This is an image of Honolulu that I found on the internet and I added some text and a pic of the island using Photoshop Elements. I thought it was rather appropriate 😉

Hawaii

On the inside of the card I placed this image to the right so I had plenty of room on the left to add my message to him.

This image was created using an app on my phone called Word Pack.

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary to my hubby. I hope our next 10 years leads us to an even more exotic location, if that’s even possible!!!

And here is a little reminder of that wonderful day 10 years ago!

Make a wish

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a very quick and easy card to create, using some DSP, banners, sentiment, punch and twine!

IMG_4434

I love this dandelion designer paper which you can earn for FREE with any $90 order. It is the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper available during Saleabration 2016. 12 sheets of 12×12 double sided designs.

IMG_4436

The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and is perfect with this paper. As kids we always grabbed those dandelions and blew them to make a wish, didn’t you?! Maybe you still do!!!!

IMG_4435

Anyway, the sentiment was stamped and cut out using the Note Tag Punch. The banners were made using the Banner Triple Punch and layered behind the tag. Some gorgeous two-tone baker’s twine was added.

I love the simplicity of this style of card. What do you think?

Flowers, Stampin' Up!, Sympathy, Thinlits Dies

You’re in my thoughts

Dear Crafters,

It is always tough to come up with a card design for someone who may have lost a loved one, so I always like to have some on hand to be able to grab when required.

Today, I share a card using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits die.

Bloomin Heart #stampinup Occasions 2016 Saleabration Bloomin Heart #stampinup Occasions 2016 Saleabration

I have used Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White, purple being the colour of love and I think it is lovely in this sympathy card.

Bloomin Heart #stampinup Occasions 2016 Saleabration

Notice I have glued the heart die cut behind the top layer, framing part of the heart but also so it gives that gorgeous shadow behind once the layer is adhered with dimensionals.

Always remember to stamp the envelope and the inside of your cards!

Incy Wincy Spider

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the new Spider Web Doilies and Black Glimmer Paper in the Holiday Catalogue (pg 47).

Incy Wincy Spider #stampinup

Seeing as we don’t celebrate Halloween here in Australia (like the USA do!), I didn’t particularly want to make Halloween cards or projects. But, I loved the spider web doilies and had to purchase them!!!!

I also loved the black glimmer paper and thought it would create the cutest, most sparkly spider and I was right!

Incy Wincy Spider #stampinup

See his legs? How did I make them you ask?

Well, notice that the doilie has been trimmed to fit in the top corner of the card?

The left over pieces I trimmed down to be his legs. No waste in this house!!!

I added some googly eyes to finish him off, cute hey?!!

Please let me know what you think of my card.

Baby

Babies First

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a baby boy card. Who doesn’t love making baby cards and this was no exception.

I have used Marina Mist and Soft Sky as my colours with some So Saffron for the ducks.

The Babies First Framelits make it so easy to create and there is very little stamping, only the sentiment!

#stampinup Baby Boy

How cute is the background? I layered some of the ducks onto the Soft Sky card and embossed it with the new Elegant Dots TIEF for some added texture.

Please leave a comment below if you like my card today.

Wedding

Wedding Bliss

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you another sneak peek of a new product in the Annual Catalogue. This stamp set is also what I will be showcasing at my next class on Saturday 6th June at 1pm. To view my full list of classes, click here.

This stamp set is called Build a Birthday, but yes, I have changed the theme and made a wedding card from it. This just shows how versatile this set is, and you won’t believe what other things we can make with this stamp set.

This stamp set is photopolymer, so it is completely clear so you can stamp exactly where you want without using the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

The base card is Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White, then another layer of Basic Black. I stamped the cake stand in Versamark ink directly onto the black card and added some white embossing powder before heat setting it with the heat gun.

The cake layers are strips of washi tape that I have lined up on some white card in layers. I put it onto white card because the washi tape is sheer and it wouldn’t have shown if stuck directly to the black card stock). I cut out the cake indenting between the layers, before adhering to the top of the cake stand. So simple but super effective.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I added some little gold glitter flowers with glue dots and a rhinestone in the centre of each one, and a gold bow to finish it off.

I absolutely love this set and know that you will too, especially once I share some other projects over the next few months as I am sure to make plenty with this set!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope so everything coordinates with a little of the washi tape!!!

I would love you to comment below with your thoughts on this card.
