Charming Duck Pond Cards

Today I feature the Charming Duck Pond and Lily Pond Lane Designer Papers in these three cute cards.

Card 1 – Gray Granite cardbase with a layer of the DSP and another Gray Granite piece over the top that has the diecut centre.  This creates a gorgeous focal point. The duck is diecut directly from the DSP and the extra coloured cardstock diecut for the reeds, lilypads and flowers; Pretty in Pink, Granny Apple Green and Peach Pie.

Card 2 – Pretty Peacock cardbase with a layer of Peach Pie dry embossed with the So Swirly 3D embossing folder. A layer of DSP on top of that at the opposite angle then a Heartfelt Hexagon Punch label with Granny Apple Green ink sponged around the edges.

Card 3 – Pretty Peacock cardbase with a layer of Badic White ink blended with Balmy Blue ink and dry embossed with the So Swirly 3D embossing folder. A Basic White panel stamped across three times with the reed stamp. This was stamped again and diecut twice to pop them up in front on Dimensionals. A small strip of Peach Pie Glimmer paper is added for sparkle! For the sentiment, I inked the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder with Balmy Blue ink, placed some white card over it, then the die and ran it through my die cutting machine.

Blackberry Bliss: Enduring Beauty Faux Embossed Tile Card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 11 – Blackberry Bliss

Today I feature the Enduring Beauty Stamps and Masks in this Embossed Tile card. On some Basic White card, I used the masks and Blending Brushes to colour the main image using Fresh Freesia & Blackberry Bliss inks for the flowers and Pool Party & Shy Shamrock inks for the leaves.

Once this was done, I embossed the panel using the Cute Crochet 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then cut it into 3cm squares. Placing Dimensionals on the back of each square, I lined them up onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock eith a narrow border bwtween them. Once all were adhered I trimmed it to size. This was glued to a Basic White cardbase (although the fading light made it look more Vanilla). The outline image for these marks was stamped in the corner on the inside of the card and the envelope.

The lovely sentiment is heat embossed with White Emboss Powder onto Blackberry Bliss card and fussy, then adhered on Dimensionals with a White Baker’s  Twine bow placed below on a Glue Dot. Some Iridescent Adhesive-backed Discs finish it off. It’s always handy to have some sympathy/thinking of you cards in your stash for when you least expect to need them.

Balmy Blue: Mediterranean Blooms

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 8 – Balmy Blue

Today I feature the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. If you know me, you know I love blue and this paper is beautiful.

Project 1

The main image is fussy cut using Paper Snips from a piece of the Designer Paper and the reverse side has these gorgeous blue patterns. On my Balmy Blue cardbase, I have a layer of ther DSP matted onto Night of Navy cardstock. On top of this is a Night of Navy piece diecut using the Countryside Corners dies and dry embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

Sending Love card with Mediterranean Blooms for Balmy Blue Colour Creations blog hop by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2024

The image is added with Dimensionals and I used my Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker to colour the centre section between the oranges which was white. I felt it blended better. I cut some Night of Navy Glittered Ribbon lengthwise so it was narrow and tied it in a double bow and placed it just under the lower orange. The sentiment is heat embossed in White Emboss Powder and Versamark ink, then fussy cut. Some Brushed Brass Butterflies were added to finish off.

The inside of the card I decorated with more layers of the Countryside Corners dies and a strip of DSP.

Project 2

A little Pocket card or it could be used for a gift card. Patty Bennett, a US Demonstrator, shared her version of these a week or two ago and I thought it was such a neat idea to use Designer papers to create the envelope/pocket. Here I have used two more of the patterns from the DSP. The labels on the front are Unbounded Love dies and the flower is coloured using Wink of Stella. Some balmy Blue Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots are added below the sentiment.

I decided to create a litte card with a tag [Perennial Postage & Unbounded Love dies] to pull it out. The sentiment [Country Birdhouse] is stamped in Balmy Blue ink.

Soft Sea Foam CCBH: Seasonal Branches & sneak peek of new products

2023-2024 AWH Colour Creations header

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 47 – Soft Sea Foam

For this card I feature the Seasonal Branches Bundle for a thinking of you card. This bundle is retiring very soon, and I will be sad to see it go.

I chose a piece of Soft Sea Foam patterned paper from the Subtles 6×6 DSP. A matt layer of basic white card with a piece of Soft Sea Foam card is placed across. Some Baker’s Twine is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.

The basic white Deckled Circles die is lightly coloured in the centre with ink using a Blending Brush and is added on dimensionals. The branch, inked in Pecan Pie is stamped and die cut, as is the leaves in Parakeet Party ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam Blends Combo markers. The bird is stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly Blends Combo Markers. The sentiments are stamped in Pecan Pie ink. Iridescent Rhinestones are added for some sparkle!

On the inside I added a strip of DSP and another sentiment.

My next card is a sneak peek of some new products coming in May.  This gorgeous backgeround stamp, Leaf Collection was demonstrated at our recent OnStage event by Julianne Richards and I loved it. She stamped it in one colour and then flipped the card 180° and stamped it again in a lighter colour and wow, it was brilliant. So I have tried to recreate that today by using a new In Color, Summer Splash and then Soft Sea Foam. I did use my Stamparatus to stmp in Soft Sea Foam twice, as it is a very pale colour.

2024-2026 IN COLORS

Country Flowers & Leaf Collection sneak peek for Soft Sea Foam Colour Creations blog hop by Kate Moegan, Stmpin Up Australia 2024

The feature image is a stamp set, Country Flowers, which my lovely friend, Cathy, and coordinator of this blog hop, chose for our After Hours event at OnStage, and she let me stamp a few onto Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. As I didn’t have the coordinating dies, this was fussy cut and then watercoloured using inks and a Water Painter brush. The leaves are all coloured using Soft Sea Foam ink, but you can see how dark it looks. This is because I didn’t use a lot of water tokeep the intensity. The flowers are coloured with more new 2024-2026 In Colors, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie & Petunia Pop! The pot is a mix of Peach Pie and Petunia Pop inks which I mixed together on an acrylic block to get a slightly richer tone. Between the flowers and the handle of the pot were too white, so I coloured them with a watered down tone of Soft Sea Foam so it blended in with the background!

The circle dies and the sentiment are from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle which I selected for our After Hours event.

Favored Flowers Floating Sympathy card

The card I’m sharing today, is a sympathy card for another work colleague who lost her dear mother last week after a short illness.

I started with a Basic Black card base. Another piece of black card the same size as the card front was dry embossed with the Stitched Greenery die. I took some White Craft ink refill and placed a few drops onto an acrylic block. With a Water Painter, I carefully squirted some water on the ink, placed the water painter into it to mix it aroundy, then tapped it with my fingers to add some white splotches to the embossed card.

The Favored Flowers DSP is one of the Level 1 Sale•a•bration items you can get free with a $90 product order during Jan/February. I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the flowers, including the ones on the edges of the paper. I placed them on the card to work out my arrangement, before adding Black Dimensionals to each one and adding them to the card.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, added White Emboss Powder and melted it with my Heat Tool. I die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle die, then added some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, added White Emboss Powder and melted it with my Heat Tool. I die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle die, then added some Seal+ to the back of it and folded some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Add it with Black Dimensionals also.

On the inside I added a Basic White insert with another fussy cut flower from the edge of the paper. The envelope also had a small flower glued to the corner. A small flower was also glued tot he front of the envelope! Some 2021-2023 InColor Jewels were added last. I was really happy with how this card turned out.

Seaside Bay Sympathy card

The card I’m sharing today, is a sympathy card for a work colleague who lost her dear mother just after Christmas.

I’m really pleased with how this turned out, using Petal Pink, Coastal Cabana and Gold! The gorgeous By the Bay Specialty DSP was my deciding colour choice, in the soft pastel tones.

By the Bay SDSP 2023

This coordinates with the Seaside Bay Bundle (stamp set & dies). I started with a Petal Pink card base. I cut another piece of Petal Pink card 1cm smaller than the base. To this I added a 7cm strip of the SDSP down the centre. Using the Seashells 3D embossing folder, I ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine. I glued it to a piece of Coastal Cabana card and cut it using the Trimmer to have a very small border. I wrapped some gold Simply Elegant Trim around 3 times and tied off in a knot. This was then popped up on Dimensionals.

I die cut a circle using the Layering Circle dies, sponged the edges with Petal Pink ink using a dauber. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, added Gold Emboss Powder and melted it with my Heat Tool. I stamped a shell onto Basic White card and die cut it and glued it to the circle. This was then added to the card on Dimensionals. Some gold Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins were added for a little extra gold!

On the inside I added a Basic White insert with a strip of DSP and a Gold Foil shell die cut with the dies.

Week 33 – Old Olive

This is our final Colour Creations blog hop for 2022, but I hope you will join us again on 4 January 2023 when we return!

Today, I have used the Cottage Rose Bundle with the coordinating Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper. I have gone with some neutrals in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with Old Olive. All of the feature images are stamped and die cut from Crumb Cake card. The sentiment and main floral image are stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and heat set. I really like using the “Best Wishes” sentiment, as it can be for many occasions; birthday, sympathy, farewell, wedding, etc.

Best Wishes card using Stampin Up Cottage Rose Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia 2022

I used my Dark Crumb Cake Blends Marker around the edges of the main image so it really stands out! I used a sponge dauber to add Early Espresso ink around the sentiment which is cut using the Double Oval Punch as well as on the tips of the die cut flowers behind the focal image.

The card base is Old Olive. The next layer is a piece of the DSP cut with the largest die in the Stitched Rectangle dies, then I coloured the leaves with the Light Old Olive Blends Marker. I took a Blending Brush and added ink across the whole DSP piece. I inked one side of the Merry Melody 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Early Espresso, placed the DSP inside and ran it through my Emboss machine. Then I used the dauber to add ink around the edges before gluing to the card base. Some printed Vellum Layering Designs was added to soften the background.

A Silver piece of Simply Elegant Trim was pulled apart to separate all the fibres. This was something that Shelli Gardner (cofounder of Stampin’ Up!) shared with us during our recent demonstrator only event and it’s such a neat trick!

Texture Chic Trifold Shutter card

2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 27 – Mango Melody

This Trifold Shutter card is quite easy to make, but it’s all the layering pieces that takes the time to cut and glue together. I am using the Perched in a Tree Bundle with the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper.

My card base is Mango Melody, the matts are Basic Black and the patterned papers as mentioned above.

Trifold Shutter card using Stampin Up Texture Chic & Perched in a Tree Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia 2022

I stamped the bird in Black Memento ink onto Basic White card.  I placed the coordinating die over the top and held it down with some washi tape. Before cutting it out, I used my blending brushes to add the colouring; Mango Melody, Pool Party & Petal Pink. This was so that the white border around the image remained white once it was die cut!

I covered the bird with Wink of Stella to stand out even more. Lastly I added some gold Festive Pearls.

Trifold Shutter card using Stampin Up Texture Chic & Perched in a Tree Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia 2022 front

The branch is cut from Evening Evergreen card and the floral spray was cut from Basic White card and Petal Pink ink added with the blending brushes. The leaves were coloured the same way and then I added small amounts of Multipurpose Adhesive Glue, allowing it to almost dry, before adding the Gilded Leafing.

Trifold Shutter card using Stampin Up Texture Chic & Perched in a Tree Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia 2022 leaves

The next panel has the sentiment stamped in Memento Black ink and cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. The Basic Black layer is one size rectangle larger. I had a small strip of the patterned paper left over, so I used my Paper Snips to cut banners at either end and glued it to the black layer. The sentiment layer is added on Mini Dimensionals.

Brilliant Wings in Watercolour

2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 20 – Flirty Flamingo

Today I really wanted a dramatic look, so I started with a Basic Black card base. I took an acrylic block, and added some White Craft ink refill. Using the Water Painter brush I squeezed some water onto the ink and flicked it onto the card base.

I took a piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper and applied inks using Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo. Once I had a lovely mix of colour, I used the Water Painter again with just Melon Mambo ink and flicked it over the watercolouring. Place this aside to dry.

Butterfly Wings watercolour card for Flirty Flamingo CCBH by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2022

The Brilliant Wings dies were used to cut out the butterflies, which were adhered to the card using Multipurpose Glue just along the body so the wings could sit up.

The sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set is stamped in Versamark ink onto black card. I added Silver Emboss Powder and heat set it. Cut it out with the coordinating Sending dies. I tied a piece of the Silver Simply Elegant Trim in a big bow and placed it on the centre of the largest butterfly, then added the sentiment over the top on Black Mini Dimensionals.

To finish off, I coloured some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Marker. Some Black and White Pearlized Enamel Effects were also added in groups of three for extra interest.

On the inside a Flirty Flamingo layer with a Basic White layer were added with another water coloured butterfly.

Eden's Garden Collection Sending Hugs by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2022..

Gold Foil is layered onto the Soft Succulent card base with some of the stunning DSP on the top. The wreath die is cut in Evening Evergreen card. The sentiment is stamped with Soft Succulent ink onto a piece of Basic White card cut using the Everyday Label Punch, then added on dimensionals. Lastly I added a ribbon bow with the Gold 1cm Shimmer Ribbon.
