Soft Sea Foam CCBH: Seasonal Branches & sneak peek of new products

2023-2024 AWH Colour Creations header

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 47 – Soft Sea Foam

For this card I feature the Seasonal Branches Bundle for a thinking of you card. This bundle is retiring very soon, and I will be sad to see it go.

I chose a piece of Soft Sea Foam patterned paper from the Subtles 6×6 DSP. A matt layer of basic white card with a piece of Soft Sea Foam card is placed across. Some Baker’s Twine is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.

The basic white Deckled Circles die is lightly coloured in the centre with ink using a Blending Brush and is added on dimensionals. The branch, inked in Pecan Pie is stamped and die cut, as is the leaves in Parakeet Party ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam Blends Combo markers. The bird is stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly Blends Combo Markers. The sentiments are stamped in Pecan Pie ink. Iridescent Rhinestones are added for some sparkle!

On the inside I added a strip of DSP and another sentiment.

My next card is a sneak peek of some new products coming in May.  This gorgeous backgeround stamp, Leaf Collection was demonstrated at our recent OnStage event by Julianne Richards and I loved it. She stamped it in one colour and then flipped the card 180° and stamped it again in a lighter colour and wow, it was brilliant. So I have tried to recreate that today by using a new In Color, Summer Splash and then Soft Sea Foam. I did use my Stamparatus to stmp in Soft Sea Foam twice, as it is a very pale colour.

2024-2026 IN COLORS

The feature image is a stamp set, Country Flowers, which my lovely friend, Cathy, and coordinator of this blog hop, chose for our After Hours event at OnStage, and she let me stamp a few onto Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. As I didn’t have the coordinating dies, this was fussy cut and then watercoloured using inks and a Water Painter brush. The leaves are all coloured using Soft Sea Foam ink, but you can see how dark it looks. This is because I didn’t use a lot of water tokeep the intensity. The flowers are coloured with more new 2024-2026 In Colors, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie & Petunia Pop! The pot is a mix of Peach Pie and Petunia Pop inks which I mixed together on an acrylic block to get a slightly richer tone. Between the flowers and the handle of the pot were too white, so I coloured them with a watered down tone of Soft Sea Foam so it blended in with the background!

The circle dies and the sentiment are from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle which I selected for our After Hours event.

  2. Both of your cards are lovely, Kate. The first card has a really serene look; great, subtle, use of colour. The Iridescent Rhinestones are a really pretty touch. Great colours on your second card, too. It’s nice to see those beautiful new products used.

  3. Both cards are fantastic, Kate, and they show Soft Sea Foam in totally different ways! I love the soft colours on your first card and I too will be sad to see the Seasonal Branches Bundle retire. I’m so glad you’ve found a use for the cute Country Flowers stamp. Love your stamped background of Summer Splash and then Soft Sea Foam.

  4. I love the way you’ve combined all these different stamps and dies for your card Kate. The mixed colours for the pot are so nice too.
