Soft Sea Foam CCBH: Seasonal Branches & sneak peek of new products

2023-2024 AWH Colour Creations header

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 47 – Soft Sea Foam

For this card I feature the Seasonal Branches Bundle for a thinking of you card. This bundle is retiring very soon, and I will be sad to see it go.

I chose a piece of Soft Sea Foam patterned paper from the Subtles 6×6 DSP. A matt layer of basic white card with a piece of Soft Sea Foam card is placed across. Some Baker’s Twine is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.

The basic white Deckled Circles die is lightly coloured in the centre with ink using a Blending Brush and is added on dimensionals. The branch, inked in Pecan Pie is stamped and die cut, as is the leaves in Parakeet Party ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam Blends Combo markers. The bird is stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly Blends Combo Markers. The sentiments are stamped in Pecan Pie ink. Iridescent Rhinestones are added for some sparkle!

On the inside I added a strip of DSP and another sentiment.

My next card is a sneak peek of some new products coming in May.  This gorgeous backgeround stamp, Leaf Collection was demonstrated at our recent OnStage event by Julianne Richards and I loved it. She stamped it in one colour and then flipped the card 180° and stamped it again in a lighter colour and wow, it was brilliant. So I have tried to recreate that today by using a new In Color, Summer Splash and then Soft Sea Foam. I did use my Stamparatus to stmp in Soft Sea Foam twice, as it is a very pale colour.

2024-2026 IN COLORS

Country Flowers & Leaf Collection sneak peek for Soft Sea Foam Colour Creations blog hop by Kate Moegan, Stmpin Up Australia 2024

The feature image is a stamp set, Country Flowers, which my lovely friend, Cathy, and coordinator of this blog hop, chose for our After Hours event at OnStage, and she let me stamp a few onto Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. As I didn’t have the coordinating dies, this was fussy cut and then watercoloured using inks and a Water Painter brush. The leaves are all coloured using Soft Sea Foam ink, but you can see how dark it looks. This is because I didn’t use a lot of water tokeep the intensity. The flowers are coloured with more new 2024-2026 In Colors, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie & Petunia Pop! The pot is a mix of Peach Pie and Petunia Pop inks which I mixed together on an acrylic block to get a slightly richer tone. Between the flowers and the handle of the pot were too white, so I coloured them with a watered down tone of Soft Sea Foam so it blended in with the background!

The circle dies and the sentiment are from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle which I selected for our After Hours event.

Soft Sea Foam: Seaside Bay

2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 48 – Soft Sea Foam

Today I have used the Seaside Bay Bundle with the coordinating By the Bay Specialty DSP.

By the Bay SDSP 2023

Although these papers don’t have Soft Sea Foam in them, it still works well. The card base is Soft Sea Foam and I’ve used the shell stamp inked with Versamark, gold emboss powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. This creates a lovely border, don’t you think?!

The next two layers are cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies from the DSP. These are glued together and added to the card base with Dimensionals.  The larger bird is die cut from the papers too, how cool is that?! The smaller birds and shell are stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink and die cut. The sea grasses and shells are die cut from Soft Sea Foam and the Gold from the 12″ x 12″ Fine Shimmer pack. The birds are added with Mini Dimensionals and the shells/grasses are adhered with Tombo Multipurpose Glue.

On the inside, I used the Waves of Inspiration Bundle. I stamped the birds from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set and the waves with the Waves dies in the Soft Succulent Fine Shimmer pack.

You can really see the gorgeous shimmer of all the gold in this photo! Finally I added the sentiment and some Flat adhesive-backed Pearls.

Soft Sea Foam Blog Hop ~ Interactive Pansy Patch

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 45 – Soft Sea Foam

Tonight’s card features the Pansy Petals DSP, Pansy Patch Bundle and the Give It a Whirl dies.

My card base is Soft Sea Foam (tent fold design). The top layer is two pieces of the Pansy Petals DSP. I placed them in my Cut & Emboss Machine and placed the large die over the top to work out where the join would be in the centre. After die cutting this large piece, I then used the circle piece from the dies to cut the window.

Turning the scallop circle mechanism (where you see the arrow), turns to feature other stamped images! Starting with the happy birthday sentiment, then next is a flower ready to bloom.

Then rotate again, you have this gorgeous pansy. The stems and leaves are stamped in Soft Sea Foam and the petals are Fresh Freesia (1st an 2nd generation stamping). The DSP layer is adhered with Dimensionals to allow space behind for the mechanism to turn. I added a small strip of Soft Sea Foam card across the centre join of the DSPs for a neater look.

Here you can see the mechanism better. The brad which the mechanism spins on, is hidden behind the scallop circle on the front (behind the Brushed Brass Butterfly). This is popped up on Mini Dimensionals.

I finished with adding three Brushed Brass Butterflies and three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
