Fabulous Flamingo

Dear Crafters,

Today I have another sneak peek of this cute stamp set, Fabulous Flamingo, which was an all attendee giveaway at OnStage in Sydney last month!

Fabulous Flamingo by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up demonstrator, Australia

I stamped the flamingo in Flirty Flamingo and Berry Blast ink, however I think I need to go a bit lighter in my colours next time. But hey, it still gives some great effect of maybe a flamingo in the evening! lol

Pretty Kitty

Dear Crafters,

Today I have some more of the cute cards that I started last Thursday while I was in hospital having my infusion. It is a couple of hours of down time, so I often take some stamped images and colour them, making good use of my time. Here are all of the images I coloured!

final (Edited).jpg

I stamped the images with Stazon Black ink onto Watercolour paper and used the Watercolour pencils and the blender pens.

Again, I am also using some of the designer series paper stacks which are retiring and won’t be carrying over into the new catalogue.

This next one I added small strips of gold glimmer paper to the top and bottom edge of the red polka dot paper!

Pretty Kitty by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up demonstrator, Australia Glimmer

I adore these paper doilies and this one below, I covered up the centre of it, so before I glued it down, I cut out the centre of the doilie and that is what is forms the shape of the one to the right. No point covering the whole thing up, may as well use what I can!!!

Not one of these cards has a sentiment, did you notice that?!!! You don’t always need to add a sentiment to a card, sometimes you just want the images to be the focus.

I was very pleased with my watercolouring efforts, especially while sitting in a chair colouring on my lap!

Bella & Friends

Dear Crafters,

Well I can tell you that I placed my pre-order for brand new 2017-2018 annual catalogue product yesterday!!! You can do this too, but only if you are a demonstrator or join today so you can get product earlier. Ask me how!

So here are the new 2017-2019 In Colours. Which one is your favourite?

2017-2019 In Colours by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

I have some cute cards that I started last Thursday while I was in hospital having my infusion. It is a couple of hours of down time, so I often take some stamped images and colour them, making good use of my time. Here are the first two I started with from the Pretty Kitty stamp set, which I will show you shortly.

Watercolouring images of Pretty Kitty

I used the Watercolour pencils and the blender pens.

Isn’t this image just the cutest? I love the sentiment ‘You’ve got a friend in me’.

I am also using some of the designer series paper stacks which are retiring and won’t be carrying over into the new catalogue.

This next one is using Marina Mist and the clouds and sentiments are from the Life Me Up stamp set from the Occasions catalogue. It coordinates so well with this puppy floating away tied to a balloon!

and the last one for today is using some of the new copper trim that is a new product available from 1st June. It can be used like ribbon or it can be opened up to look a bit like a mesh bag or netting. I thought it looked a bit like the puppy had chewed it!!! lol

These cards could be used for any occasion, so I tend to leave off sentiments and add them later if I want them for a specific event.

Favourite Retiring Products Blog Hop

art-with-heart-team-blog-hop-logo-currentDear Crafters,

Tonight I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some projects using our favourite retiring products from both the 2016-2017 annual and 2017 occasions catalogues!

Select retiring products have discounts of up to 50% off but are only available until sold out. Be sure to place orders before the sun sets on these items on 31 May. You don’t want to miss out – ask me how!

Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links. You have come to me from the talented, Rachel Palmieri!

Now let’s get started!

For my first project, I have used my favourite suite, Cupcakes and Carousels!

Carousel Birthday Card using Stampin Up Cupcakes & Carousel Birthday DSP, Up & Away thinlits by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Melbourne. #Occasions2017 3D

Oh how I love this Designer Series Paper. It is so bright and colourful and definitely in my colours that I really love to work with. Don’t the layers look wonderful?!

The carousel is gold embossed twice. The bottom layer was directly onto the square white card and the second was die cut with the circle die. Not sure if you can see that lovely gold shine?

The cupcakes are stamped and die cut and added with dimensionals.

I cased this from a card I saw browsing Pinterest by Crafty Little Peach.

My favourite products from the annual catalogue would have to be the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. This was the very first Stampin’ Up! stamp set that I purchased in my starter kit and has always been a favourite. I’m not sure I will ever be able to give it up!

In this card, I have also used the retiring Elegant Butterfly punch, Lovely Lace TIEF, the Subtles Designer Series Paper and the Very Vanilla 1/4″ Satin Ribbon.

and those gorgeous mini pearls… they won’t be around any more either, but don’t fear, the packs have been reconfigured and will return in a different format!

This card is the same design as the one above, however, I have used the retiring Happy Hearts TIEF (this really was one of my favs!).

Masculine, Stampin' Up!

Nailed It with Urban Underground

Dear Crafters,

Today I am sharing the last of the four cards that we made at my last craft class, focusing on a Masculine theme. This time we are using the Nailed It stamp set with the Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Nailed It Urban Underground Masculine card by Kate Morgan Independent Demonstrator Australia

I actually cased this card from a similar one that Kelly Kent created that I saw on Pinterest.  I am not a great creator of masculine cards, and I actually find them quite challenging, so I often find myself scouring Pinterest for ideas.

This card really messes with my OCD too, stamping in such a random pattern, is something that I truly struggle with. We started with a square, stamped the images, then cut into 3 equal strips.

The sentiment is from the Balloon Adventures stamp set.

And I always stamp the inside too!!!
