Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

Today, it’s all about our favourite new bundle and it’s a no-brainer that I am loving this Beautiful Bouquet Bundle!!! I have a bright and cheery 3D posy card to share with you.

I am just loving these products and will be using them so much over the coming months for sure. Coordinating products are the best, and when you purchase them together as a bundle, you even save an extra 10%! Ask me how!

As you can see, I have used Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo as my ink colours as well as Tranquil Tide for the stems and leaves and Whisper White for the background.

Check out this new embossing folder too. It’s the new Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which gives an even deeper impression and 3D effect.

Look at all the layers and I’m super happy that my framelits arrived so I didn’t have to fussy cut all of these… can you imagine, lol 😉

The little sentiment ‘For You’ is cut out using the Classic Label punch and added with the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Oh and those 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows are adorable, and you get 4 of each of the 5 new In Colors. It’s also super exciting, especially for me who is bow-challenged, as these come already made and with a mini dimensional on the back so you just stick it onto your project!!!

I also thought that this would look pretty cool stamped onto a candle as a coordinating gift!

I just love this little reindeer stamped in Crumb Cake and Glimmer Red nose! The Fox Builder Punch was used to punch out his little head to pop up on dimensionals.

The Wood Textures DSP is so amazing and it can be used for nearly any style card, including Christmas! Who would have thought?!!!

Oh and that shimmer ribbon is divine and adds a touch of softness. You know, I would never have put Pool Party and Old Olive together as a colour combination, but somehow, it just works!

The Heart of Christmas; Handmade Inspiration from the Art With Heart Team, Week 3

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Dear Crafters,

Welcome to Week 3 of the Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team!

My card today uses the Cookie Cutter Christmas & Christmas Pines stamp sets, which have been carried over into the new annual catalogue. I am so happy, as I already had both of these sets and I am excited to be able to continue sharing Christmas projects with you!

I have use Tranquil Tide and Cherry Cobbler and I think these will be my ‘go to’ Christmas colours this year. The teddy bear is stamped in Crumb Cake with Early Espresso features.

This card uses the Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes which make card-making very quick and easy and you can create multiples of these cards in a short period of time. We all like that at Christmas time, right?!! And these packs are such great value at $10.50 for 20 notecards and 20 envelopes!

I decorated the envelope with the bear on the front and some of the pine needle branches on the back seal.

Check out the new Decorative Ribbon Border Punch; it was one of the first things on my wish list!

Faux Wood Grain with Daisy Delight

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a new technique that I haven’t tried before and I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

I am using the Daisy Delight Bundle and the Faux Wood Grain Technique.

Can you tell I am just loving this bundle?!!! It is unbelievable value at under $55 for the stamp set and coordinating punch!

Anyway, here is my card. I love the look and simplicity of this. I haven’t added a sentiment, because truthfully, I don’t think it needs one and I can just write inside the card.

Daisy Delight with Faux Woodgrain Technique by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Rowville. 3D Handmade card.JPG

I love how the vellum adds a touch of softness, rather than a solid colour and that ribbon, wow, it is gorgeous to work with!

To see how to create the faux wood grain technique, head over to YouTube to see Carolyn Bennie demonstrate this amazing technique. I just love how every time you try it, it looks so different.

Make a Wish with Daisy Delight

Dear Crafters,

Today I have another card we made at my class last Saturday using the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Stamping Block Technique!!! As I mentioned, it is unbelievable value at under $55 for the bundle; stamp set and coordinating punch!

The sentiment is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I love the font.

I adore this colour combination too!

For best results with the Colour block, ensure you have a clean clear D block and a pierce mat under the cardstock when stamping.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest by Rachel Durtschi, but changed up the colour combination.

Christmas, Stampin' Up!

The Heart of Christmas

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Dear Crafters,

Do you know it is only 26 weeks until the end of November? Yes, how scary is that?!!!

So, because every year Christmas comes around so quickly, our Art with Heart team leader, Claire Daly, has decided on a weekly Wednesday post of handmade Christmas inspiration; cards, tags and other projects, and she has asked us to join her. By the time Christmas comes around, we won’t be so overwhelmed and we will have a nice little stash of cards organised prior to the silly season!!!

I know the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue launched last Thursday, but there are so many great Christmas stamps in there and the 2017 Holiday Catalogue will be available in September to add even more goodies to our cause.

My card today uses the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, which has been one of the longest standing stamp sets in the South Pacific catalogues since Stampin’ Up! came to Australia and it is perfect for Christmas cards!

I am loving Tranquil Tide with Gold and Very Vanilla as a colour combo and I can see myself using this for many more Christmas cards!

I hope you have enjoyed my first Heart of Christmas post and I look forward to sharing more Christmas inspiration with you soon, it may not be every Wednesday, but I’ll do my best!

I saw a similar card and for the life of me, I cannot find the original creator anywhere. I will keep looking and be sure to update this post when I find it. UPDATE: I found her, Lavinia Gruizinga from the UK, but it was on a private FB Group so I cannot link to her card!

Posy of Gerberas with Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a gorgeous posy of flowers made out of paper, yes paper, and if you come along to my class tomorrow, I’ll show you how to make them!

I had my mum call in yesterday and she couldn’t believe that they weren’t real flowers!

You know when you walk into a florist to buy a bunch of flowers and you nearly fall over at the price of them? Well, this Daisy Delight bundle is a great bargain for $54.75 which is probably what many spend on buying a bunch of flowers that will die in a weeks time, but these ones you can keep for a lifetime and enjoy making many more for all your friends for their birthdays!!!! Wouldn’t that be such a wonderful gift to receive?!!!

Daisy Delight by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator, Rowville 3D

Each flower is made up of 3 stamped and punched flowers and offset when glued together. I also used my bone folder to turn the ends of the petals down.

The stems of the flowers are made using cheap plastic drinking straws that I had in the kitchen cupboard, and I covered them with florists tape.

Daisy Delight by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator, Rowville 3D back.JPG

This is the back of the flower. You can see that the straw has been cut 5 times about 1/2cm down and opened up. This was glued with Tombo Multipurpose glue to the back of the flower. It didn’t look aesthetically pleasing, so I then cut a ring using the 3/8″ and 3/4″ circle punches to cover it and also make it more sturdy!

Daisy Delight by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator, Rowville 3D posy

The greenery was something I have had for many years and it goes so well with these gerberas!

What do you think? These are just so bright and cheery and I reckon they would make the perfect gifts for anyone to brighten their day!
