Week 36 – Poppy Parade

What else would I use for the Poppy Parade showcase, than the Painted Poppies stamp set!

The Blending Brushes are a recent addition to the SU store and they are amazing to work with. I created this soft background with So Saffron at the top and Granny Apple Green at the bottom, blending them in the centre.

The poppy is stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Poppy Parade & Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, and heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

Linen Thread is wrapped around three times the patterned paper layer and tied in a bow, before gluing it to a Basic White Thick cardstock base.

On the inside I stamped the a small field of poppies and coloured the same way as the front. I also brushed Granny Apple Green ink with the Blending Brushes as well to add a little colour.

Berry Blessings Wreath builder Card

I love the patterned paper that can be earned free during Sale-a-bration 2021 with a $180AUD product order. You also get this stamp set too!!!

I love blueberries and this was the first card I had to make with the Stamp in the Round or Wreath builder technique using the Stamparatus.

The leaves are stamped in Granny Apple Green and the Blueberries are Pacific Point with Night of Navy outline.

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink to coordinate with the matt layers. The Double Oval Punch is a fantastic addition to my craft supplies and I know I will use it heaps, especially when you can cut both ovals at once!

Tonight’s card is using the Forever & Always Bundle and the coordinating Specialty Paper, Love You Always.

I love using black as a background, giving such a dramatic effect with the bright images and layers and the white square scalloped frame, really pops. The Subtle 3D Embossing Folder adds a soft touch of texture.

Inking up a sponge dauber with Magenta Madness, I started in the centre of each flower and swiped the dauber to the outer edge of the petals to get that brushed look. Doesn’t it look amazing?!!!

The centres are sponged with Bumblebee ink and the leaves stamped in Just Jade.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

I stamped some extra flowers and leaves and added them to the inside of the card.

Week 35 – Pool Party

This birthday card is so much fun, with the donkey kicking up the pile of presents… I can almost hear it laughing!!!

Using the Darling Donkeys stamp set (FREE product during Saleabration with $90+ order) and the Kangaroo & Company stamp set, where I have used the presents image. I also stamped this image across the background of my card in Pool Party ink.

The donkey and presents are stamped in Memento ink onto Basic White card using the Stamparatus to line them up perfectly, then die cut using the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

The images are coloured using Blends Combo Markers; Pool Party, Smoky Slate & Real Red. The rhinestones are also coloured with the Pool Party Blends to coordinate with the cardstock. The present at the front, is also stamped with little star type images from the Darling Donkeys set.

Oh how I love this Gold Gilded Leafing, it looks stunning on projects and I cannot wait to play some more with it!

Just look at the texture of the flowers on that Designer Paper – those flowers look like they are painted on with acrylic/oil paint. Well that is because the paper is photographed from an actual painting before being printed!

This card is very simple, letting the patterned paper do all the work. The only stamping is the flower, leaves and sentiment!

The gilded leafing is added last, just before adding the die cut flower to the card with dimensionals.

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 34 – Petal Pink

This is such a pretty, peachy pink tone and I actually quite like it.

So for this card, I first selected one of the sheets from the Subtles 6″x6″ DSP that you can get as part of the joining special at the moment.

I used my snips by opening them up and using one blade to rough up the edges of the patterned paper and fold over the top corner, before gluing it to the Petal Pink card base.

I chose the Kangaroo & Company Bundle next, as I hadn’t inked it up since buying it last year, and it was time to have a play with this cute bundle.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to colour the kangaroo, so I took a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, and dragged the Petal Pink inkpad across it. I watched a Facebook Live recently over @theCraftyCarrotCo where they used this technique. I then stamped the Kangaroo image in Soft Suede ink 3 times, using the Stamparatus to get a nice, deep, rich colour, before die cutting it.

The hearts in the pouch are also stamped twice using the Stamparatus in Petal Pink on Shimmery White cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies.

I used Stampin’ Seal+ to add the Square Vellum Doilies, then used Dimensionals behind the kangaroo.

The “love’ and ‘you’ are from the Love You More Than dies, cut in Shimmery White cardstock and adhered with Multipurpose Glue.

Last, I added three of the Elegant Faceted Gems, then decorated the inside by stamping the sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. I stamped in Petal Pink first using the Stamparatus, then moved the cardstock slightly, and stamped again in Soft Suede ink, twice. Doesn’t it give a fantastic offset stamping shadow effect?!!! I added a strip on the same patterned paper down the side, that I used on the front of the card.

Fine Art Floral Suite with Gilded Leafing

The Fine Art Floral Suite is stunning and all these gorgeous products coordinate to make your crafting experience more pleasurable.

I love this particular piece of patterned paper, with all the pink tones. I have used the Petal Pink 5/8″ organdy striped ribbon, just a hit of it between the two DSPs.

The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo/Mossy Meadow ink. Then I used Versamark ink, added Heat & Stick Powder and used the Heat Tool to melt it, before applying the Gilded Leafing.

How pretty is the Flirty Flamingo sentiment die cut on this card?!! So bright and cheery, especially with the daisy!

The Flower and Field patterned paper can be earned for FREE with a $90AUS order during Sale-a-bration (until 28 Feb). This is a gorgeous pack of bright flowery papers with black backgrounds to make the colours really pop.

Initially I cut the Flirty Flamingo sentiment, but it didn’t really pop as much as I would have liked, so I die cut it in black as well and offset them slightly to give that shadow look and it was perfect.

I added a couple of narrow strips of black card either side of the stamped ‘happy birthday’ and a black heart (Dog Builder Punch) in the centre of the daisy.

Tonight’s card is simply stunning with the addition of the gold gilded leafing – WOW, this stuff is just to die for!!!

The Art Gallery Bundle has this gorgeous two step stamped flower which I have inked in Pool Party and then the second layer is stamped in Versamark. Add Heat and Stick Powder, shake off the excess, then heat it with a Heat Tool. This melts the powder so you can then add some of the Gilded Leafing flakes. I use my finger to rub it around over all the sticky powder. I find this the most effective way of adding it efficiently. A little tip with the Gilded Leafing – do not use when you have a fan on, the windows open if it’s breezy outside or it you are about to sneeze. Ask me how I know, LOL. It is so light, it flies everywhere!!!

The sentiment is from the Many Messages Bundle – a wonderful stamp set (all sentiments on 1 stamp) and the die cuts out each one individually in one pass on the Cut & Emboss Machine! Use your Stamparatus to ink up the stamp for a perfect impression.
