Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
Week 36 – Poppy Parade
What else would I use for the Poppy Parade showcase, than the Painted Poppies stamp set!
This Flower & Field DSP is one of the Saleabration items you can select for FREE with any $90+ order until 28 February 2021.
The Blending Brushes are a recent addition to the SU store and they are amazing to work with. I created this soft background with So Saffron at the top and Granny Apple Green at the bottom, blending them in the centre.
The poppy is stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Poppy Parade & Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, and heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.
Linen Thread is wrapped around three times the patterned paper layer and tied in a bow, before gluing it to a Basic White Thick cardstock base.
On the inside I stamped the a small field of poppies and coloured the same way as the front. I also brushed Granny Apple Green ink with the Blending Brushes as well to add a little colour.
Please head over to Cathy’s blog to see the full list of participants in this week’s Colour Creations Showcase. We would love for you to visit each one and leave some comments if you feel inspired.

Your use of the blending brushes is beautiful Kate, they create a beautiful soft background. A lovely card.

The poppy looks fabulous with the flower and field DSP. I love the simple accents you used on the card to finish it off.

A beautiful card Kate. That DSP coordinates perfectly with the Painted Poppy’s stamp set. I love the inside of the card too.

This is a beautiful card Kate – that paper is so pretty and goes so well with the poppy image. And I love that you chose the other small multiple poppy image for inside. It’s perfect!

This is such a pretty card, Kate. How funny though, that you were the only one to use the Poppies. I was certain that more of us would!

I really like how you blended ink on the poppy panel, Kate, so the Stitched Nested Label doesn’t look stark against the bright, bold, background paper. Beautiful card.

What a perfect match Kate – the poppies stamp looks like it was made to co-ordinate with that Flower and field DSP! I love how the single poppy has been accented by your use of the blending brushes – inside and outside i’s a fabulous card! Thank you for providing some Poppy Parade Inspiration this week!!
