Tranquil Tulip Fancy Fold card

Hello Crafters,

Today I am featuring the Tranquil Tulips Hostess Stamp Set to create this Fancy Fold card. I really like this style and you can easily make it using 1 sheet of A4 cardstock. I’ll show you that shortly!

Here is how I cut the A4 sheet of card (full instructions at the end of my post).

I also love how this card folds flat to fit into a C6 envelope for posting!

I’m also using the the Wood Grain Designer Series paper. #cutitnothoardit

I added a piece of white card to the back to write your message on and stamped a couple more tulips!

What do you think of my version of this fancy fold card?

Here are the instructions:

Coloured Base: 4⅛″ x 10⅞″ (10.5cm x 29.7cm). Score at 6″, 7⅛″, 9″ and 10⅛″ (15cm, 18cm, 23cm and 26cm)
Coloured Front Panel: 3″ x 6″ (7.6cm x 15.2cm). Score at ½″ x 1⅝ (1.3cm and 4.2cm)
Designer Series Paper: TOP: 4″ x 4⅜″ (11.1cm x 10.2cm) BOTTOM: 4″ x 1⅝″ (10.1cm x 4.2cm)
White Backing: 3¾″ x 5⅝″ (9.5cm x 14.3cm)  White Card Front: 2¾″ x 4⅛ (7cm x 10.5cm)

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:
Burnish the score lines of the Base card. Add the DSP with glue. Add Adhesive to the smaller tab and fold up to adhere to the front.
Fold each of the score lines of the front panel. Add adhesive to the small scored section at the top.  Before sticking it down, turn the cardstock over and place it on the front of the card to see where to place the adhesive on the lower panel. Add adhesive then flip it over, holding the card flat and adhere this panel.
Stamp the two white piece of cardstock and add them to the card with adhesive. Stamp the sentiment on white card and punch out. Punch two further pieces from the coloured card to use as a matt layer. Adhere to the card.

The Heart of Christmas, Week 6

Heart of Christmas Stampin Up Art with Heart Team Christmas Inspiration

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Week 6 of the Heart of Christmas: Handmade Inspiration from the Art with Heart team.

My card today is 5-3/4″ square card using the Jar of Love & Christmas Pines stamp sets and the Everyday Jars Framelits.

Heart of Christmas Card using Stampin Ups Jar of Love, Everyday Jars Framelits & Christmas Pines by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia, DIY

Can you believe that I have never inked up the Jar of Love stamp set until now?! True! But… having made this card, I am bound to make many more projects with this amazing stamp set.

The photos don’t do this card justice in showing all the glitter and gold edging, but I hope you can see that I used the Versamark ink pad, and rubbed it along the edges of the cardstock, dipped them in gold embossing powder and heat set it. It’s another way of creating a layered effect without the extra thickness of cardstock!

The flowers were stamped with the Cherry Cobbler ink, however the solid background colour was stamped off first to give that toned look. The greetings are from the Christmas Pines stamp set.

and here is the inside of the card!

I hope you have enjoyed my Heart of Christmas post and I look forward to sharing more Christmas inspiration with you next Wednesday! If you would like to see what others in our team have created, you can view the participant list over on the blog of our leader, Claire Daly.

Fancy Fold card with Lots of Labels

Hello Crafters,

Today I am featuring the Lots of Labels framelits to create this Fancy Fold card inspired by Dawn Griffith. I love to try different fancy folds and this one we did in my class on Saturday and the ladies loved it, although at first took fright wondering if it was going to be difficult to create!

I’m also using my favourite Designer Series paper, Delightful Daisy. #cutitnothoardit

I added a piece of ribbon to the left of the label die, which is an addition to the original creator. I just thought it helped show that is where to pull to open this style of card.

art-with-heart-team-blog-hop-logo-current

Dear Crafters,

Tonight the Art with Heart Team girls are showing you their favourite bundles from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. Bundles make creating a breeze, because of the perfect coordination. It’s a bonus that you get 10% off by bundling the products together too. There are 24 bundles in the new catalogue so ask us about them, or for a catalogue today!

AWHT Blog Hop June 2017 - Favourite New Bundle.jpg

Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

Today, it’s all about our favourite new bundle and it’s a no-brainer that I am loving this Beautiful Bouquet Bundle!!! I have a bright and cheery 3D posy card to share with you.

I am just loving these products and will be using them so much over the coming months for sure. Coordinating products are the best, and when you purchase them together as a bundle, you even save an extra 10%! Ask me how!

As you can see, I have used Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo as my ink colours as well as Tranquil Tide for the stems and leaves and Whisper White for the background.

Check out this new embossing folder too. It’s the new Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which gives an even deeper impression and 3D effect.

Look at all the layers and I’m super happy that my framelits arrived so I didn’t have to fussy cut all of these… can you imagine, lol 😉

The little sentiment ‘For You’ is cut out using the Classic Label punch and added with the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Oh and those 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows are adorable, and you get 4 of each of the 5 new In Colors. It’s also super exciting, especially for me who is bow-challenged, as these come already made and with a mini dimensional on the back so you just stick it onto your project!!!

I also thought that this would look pretty cool stamped onto a candle as a coordinating gift!

Dear Crafters,

This week my team received their shares that we organised, including Designer Series Papers and some ribbons from the new Annual catalogue, and boy, they are just stunning in real life! Here is mine 😉

2017-2018-stampin-up-annual-catalogue-dsps-and-ribbons.jpg

So, today I have a very simple, but pretty card using loads of new Annual catalogue product, including the Petal Garden DSP, Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon, Pretty Label Punch and the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

I just adore this paper! I love every pattern in the pack and that is rare for me, but they are just stunning. I can’t wait to create some more projects with these papers. Here they are:

Oh and that shimmer ribbon is divine and adds a touch of softness. You know, I would never have put Pool Party and Old Olive together as a colour combination, but somehow, it just works!

Faux Wood Grain with Daisy Delight

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a new technique that I haven’t tried before and I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

I am using the Daisy Delight Bundle and the Faux Wood Grain Technique.

Can you tell I am just loving this bundle?!!! It is unbelievable value at under $55 for the stamp set and coordinating punch!

Anyway, here is my card. I love the look and simplicity of this. I haven’t added a sentiment, because truthfully, I don’t think it needs one and I can just write inside the card.

Daisy Delight with Faux Woodgrain Technique by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Rowville. 3D Handmade card.JPG

I love how the vellum adds a touch of softness, rather than a solid colour and that ribbon, wow, it is gorgeous to work with!

To see how to create the faux wood grain technique, head over to YouTube to see Carolyn Bennie demonstrate this amazing technique. I just love how every time you try it, it looks so different.

Make a Wish with Daisy Delight

Dear Crafters,

Today I have another card we made at my class last Saturday using the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Stamping Block Technique!!! As I mentioned, it is unbelievable value at under $55 for the bundle; stamp set and coordinating punch!

The sentiment is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I love the font.

Stamping Block Technique with Daisy Delight and Happy Birthday Gorgeous by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin' Up! Demostrator, Australia.JPG

I adore this colour combination too!

For best results with the Colour block, ensure you have a clean clear D block and a pierce mat under the cardstock when stamping.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest by Rachel Durtschi, but changed up the colour combination.
