Mother’s Day Creative Showcase

AWHT Creative Showcase

Welcome to the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team Monthly Creative Showcase. The theme for this month’s showcase is Mother’s Day. Under the current conditions Mother’s Day this year is going to be completely different to any year of celebration. I am thinking we will need to do a FaceTime call as that is about as technical as my mum can cope with! 😂

The Art With Heart Team are hoping to share a little Mother’s Day love and inspiration with you tonight.

Now let’s get started!

My card tonight uses the Stamparatus to create this wreath pattern, referred to as Stamp in the Round! Usually these cards are centred within the card base, however I wanted to try something a little different and place it in a corner with lots of white space around it.

I love the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and had to use it on the card base, which is 5¾” x 11½” folded in half. The Gold Foil layer is 4¾” x 4¾”. The stamped layer is 4½” x 4½”, but it was initially larger when I stamped it and then cut it down to this size.

I love the gold, adding some class to this card for such a special occasion. These Gilded Gems are a new release and super pretty.

On the inside: 5½” x 5½” white card with one edge die cut with the Ornate Border die. The sentiment is Gold embossed and a couple of flowers stamped in Lovely Lipstick.

9bdc0-34343751_10157403755198098_7101250458500464640_o

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Lovely Lipstick and this is my photo inspiration. How gorgeous are the colours of these flowers?! My dear friends gave me this following a couple of weeks of poor health and they certainly cheered me up!

What Stampin’ Up! colours do you see?  Apart from Lovely Lipstick, I see Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape!

I was so inspired by these flowers that I had to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits dies!

There is very little stamping on this card, only the sentiment and the Green flowers. Everything else is die cut using the framelits and glued to the card with Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive. I did add some Wink of Stella to the bow!

Painted Harvest is spectacular!

Hello Friends,

My project today uses the Painted Harvest & Beautiful Bouquet stamp sets and coordinating Leaf punch. Purchase the Painted Harvest stamp set and the punch together as a bundle, and you save 10%.

I had a crafting day at a friends house with 4 of us making all different types of cards. Some were concentrating on Christmas, while I needed some Thank you cards and wasn’t sure what to take, so decided on the Painted Harvest bundle!

I have used: Berry Burst, Sweet Sugarplum, Crushed Curry, Old Olive

Here is another one in blues – I just love the country feel that the gingham ribbon gives to this card, but then again, I do love blue, so maybe I am bias!

I have used: Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Old Olive

and if you are more of a traditionalist and like to see these sunflower images in yellows and oranges, I have this one so you are not disappointed!!!

I have used: Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand, Old Olive

Rock N Roll with Beautiful Bouquet

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing my June ATC Swap that I made as part of our wider Art With Heart Team monthly ATC swaps. I have used Stampin’ Up!s Beautiful Bouquet Bundle which as you know is my favourite bundle in the Annual catalogue and this challenge was to use the Rock N Roll technique. The Rock and Roll technique is a great way to add a variation of colour to your stamped images!

Rock N Roll Technique using Stampin Ups Beautiful Bouquet by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia @craftwithkate.JPG

ATC Swaps are 2½” x 3½” cards. Each month a different technique is chosen and for every participant, you make that number of cards, exactly the same. We send them all to the organiser with a stamped self addressed envelope and once she has them all from each participant, she sends one of each back in our envelope! It’s a wonderful way of learning new techniques without having to create full size cards.

Click here to watch a video tutorial on this technique.

What do you think of this technique? Would you give it a try?!

Happy stamping!

The Powder Pink ribbon is so pretty and I have matched it with the flowers; Berry Burst and Powder Pink. I just love these tones combined with Tranquil Tide.

Although the Designer Paper is suited to the Delightful Daisy Suite, I think it still coordinates quite well with any of the other floral suites! What do you think?

Unfortunately, these doilies have retired, but I still love them 😉
