Popping Box Card

Dear Crafters,

Recently I saw an amazing Tutorial by Gemma Clarke, a UK Demonstrator, who made this awesome popping box card and I have been wanting to make it ever since! She also has a link to her YouTube videos in two parts on her blog.

I have used the stunning Lift Me Up Bundle from the Occasions catalogue. I just love the brightness of the colours in these papers.

As you can see, it is a long box that is decorated with the Carried Away DSP.

Pull the ribbon tab and out pops this box!!! Amazing, right?!!!

But the thing is, this popping box folds flat to fit inside the long box. It has a rubber band mechanism to make it pop! If you want to see a short video of it opening click here, for the link on my Facebook page.

I also decorated the inside of the box.

On each of the 4 sides I decorated the popping box with stamps, DSP and die cuts.

I added the gorgeous Carried Away Designer Series paper that I got for FREE during Sale-a-bration when I placed a $90 order!!!

Oh, and check out the lace stamp!!! Yes, because they are photopolymer and are so pliable, you can bend them onto your blocks to create a different look!!!

The sentiment is from the Avant Garden stamp set, which is one of the two Sale-a-bration FREE stamp sets I have used on this card!

I’m not sure if you can see the Wink of Stella on the flowers, but it just adds that extra little shine 😉

Paper Piecing

Dear Crafters,

Today I have created a card using the Paper Piecing Technique, not to be confused with the Paper Piercing Technique!

This technique is quite easy, but you need to like fussy cutting!!!!

I stamped the floral image onto the chosen Designer Series Paper and then fussy cut out the flowers petals with Paper Snips. I did the same for the leaves, but onto a different designer paper.

Stamp the image again (stem) onto your Very Vanilla card and then glue the fussy cut pieces over the top.

I added the cute little ribbon bow, using some of the metallic ribbon that I got for FREE during Saleabration when I placed a $90 order!!!

Birthday Blast

Dear Crafters,

Today my youngest daughter has a birthday party to attend and this little 7 year old loves pink apparently. That was the first step in deciding what colours to use, and next decision was what stamps and/or dies to use.

I haven’t yet inked up my Birthday Blast stamp set, so I got that our and the coordinating edgelits, Star Blast.

Oh, and check out the Blushing Bride Glimmer Star Blast!!!

See the stars scattered around the card? Well those came out of the edgelits and I wasn’t going to waste them! I added some Wink of Stella to the stamped stars.

What do you think of this quick and easy card? This would look good in so many colour combinations and can be masculine, feminine or whatever you want really!!!

The Watercolour Pencils make colouring very easy with the AquaPainter.

and those sentiments, they are just adorable! I have stamped them onto vellum and glued them to the card using Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive.

Those Stitched Shapes Framelits add the extra touch, especially with the scallop circle die behind in vellum!

Hey chicky, lets shake em!

Happy Boxing Day!

Are you hitting the Boxing Day sales in town or are you staying clear of them like me, and enjoying the peace and quiet at home, stamping?!!!

Today I have a cute shaker card using the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration products available from 4th January!

I think this stamp set Hey, Chick is going to be very popular! These funny little chickens just make me smile 🙂

I love a good shaker card too, so I added some brown rice inside my shaker card. It just reminds me of chicken food lol.

To create the background, I added ink to the embossing folder before running it through the Big Shot. This gives the effect of chicken wire!

I coloured the chickens with our new Watercolour Pencils and used a Blender Pen to blend the colour. You will be totally amazed at how well it works on Whisper White card, Shimmery White card and even better, the Watercolour Paper!

And don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too!

Today I share a great stamp set from the Sale-a-bration 2017 catalogue, Tasty Trucks. The kids are going to love this one!!!

Begin by stamping the image in Basic Black ink and let it dry.

Using the Watercolour Pencils, colour the image and blend with a Blender Pen.

I stamped the sentiment onto the Melon Mambo card before running it through the Big Shot with the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Glue all the layers together!

Today I share some watercolouring with a gorgeous, must have stamp set from the Occasions 2017 catalogue, Beautiful You.

Begin by stamping the image in Basic Black ink and let it dry.

Using the AquaPainter and inks, watercolour the sky from the top, getting slightly lighter as you get to the bottom of the page.

Using the new Watercolour Pencils, colour the image and use the Blender Pen to blend the colour! These are just a fabulous product I can see myself using lots and lots!

I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and added it with Tombo glue.

I added some Wink of Stella to the umbrella.
