I made this card for a dear friend who was a work colleague for many years, but left a couple of years ago. It was her 60th birthday which also happened to fall on Father’s Day, so happy birthday Sarah!

Did you see the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the front? It is from the new Holiday catalogue, but it looks fab on this non-Christmassy card. It will be one we can use on lots of different projects, thanks Stampin’ Up!

The lady is stamped in Petal Pink ink and her dress is coloured with the Wink of Stella Glitter pen and the hat was dipped in some Melon Mambo ink to pick up a bit of coordinating colour! The sentiment is stamped over the top afterwards in Melon Mambo ink so it didn’t smudge.

As you open this card, it reveals more of the Garden Impressions Designer Paper which coordinates so well with this elegant lady, don’t you think?!! I can see her at a wonderful garden party!

Beautiful You in Delicate Details

Dear Crafters,

First of all, I want to wish my mother in law, Bev a very happy 70th birthday today. We all hope you have an amazing day and look forward to celebrating it with you at Easter time!!!

Today I have another card using the Delicate Details stamp set coordinated with the Beautiful You stamp set.

I love how you can manipulate the photopolymer stamps, by bending them into a different position on the clear blocks to create a different look. Here I have taken the straight lace border and curved it onto the block. I used clear Versamark ink and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder before heat setting it.

The female image was stamped twice, the second onto designer series paper which I fussy cut and glued on top of the first image. This is called Paper Piecing. I die cut the image using the oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and added it with dimensionals.

Paper Piecing with Beautiful You

Today I have another card using the Beautiful You stamp set but I’ve only stamped the top part of the stamp and altered the dress!

I love this Falling in Love Designer Series paper and with this lace pattern, it just reminded me of a gorgeous lacy dress, so I created a larger dress for this image!

I even paper pieced the hat!

Beautiful in Blue

Today I have another card using the Beautiful You stamp set but I’ve added another crafty tool to this one and I think I’ve done okay!!!

I love this Designer Series paper and wanted to see how well it went with this stamp set, and I reckon it goes really well, and check out my stitching… yes, I pulled out the old trusty sewing machine and put in some navy thread and added some sewing to my card!!!

Today I have the Beautiful You stamp set featuring once again! Do you think I like this stamp set? No, I adore it!!!

I also love this Designer Series Paper, Falling in Love.

The Watercolour Pencils make colouring very easy with the AquaPainter.

and those sentiments, they are just adorable! I have stamped them onto vellum and glued them to the card using Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive.

Those Stitched Shapes Framelits add the extra touch, especially with the scallop circle die behind in vellum!

Hula Hoop Girl

Dear Crafters,

Well it is nearly the end of 2016 and in a way, I am glad to see this year over and very much looking forward to a happier and healthier 2017.

Now that Christmas is over, I am now focusing on the brand new products in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues available from 4th January!

Today I have the Beautiful You stamp set. When I first saw this particular image, I just knew she had to have a hula hoop swinging around!

The background was sponged using the Seasonal Decorative Masks which are currently on sale for $7.00. You get 4 masks for that price too. It’s a bargain!!!

To draw the Hula Hoop, I used the inside of the smallest Oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits using a black Sharpie pen!!!

I love these Watercolour Pencils, they make colouring super easy and you can use either the Blender Pen or AquaPainter to blend the colour. I have also added some Wink of Stella to her hat!

Today I share some watercolouring with a gorgeous, must have stamp set from the Occasions 2017 catalogue, Beautiful You.

Begin by stamping the image in Basic Black ink and let it dry.

Using the AquaPainter and inks, watercolour the sky from the top, getting slightly lighter as you get to the bottom of the page.

Using the new Watercolour Pencils, colour the image and use the Blender Pen to blend the colour! These are just a fabulous product I can see myself using lots and lots!

I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and added it with Tombo glue.

I added some Wink of Stella to the umbrella.
