Masculine 60th Birthday card

Today I’ve created this special milestone birthday card for a work colleague who is celebrating his 60th birthday this weekend!

This Pop Out Slider card I initially saw on Susan Campfield’s FB page and she mentioned that another demonstrator in the Netherlands, Annette Elias, also made one, but used Metric measurements. Both links are listed towards the end of this post.

On the inside, I have the panel on the left for writing your message & the fancy mechanism on the right with the pop up 60 on the Something Fancy dies!

Blended Peony on Just Jade

Here I am back again with another card using the Prized Peony bundle and another 60th birthday card!

This time I have stamped the large image and coloured it with Blends Combo Markers; Magenta Madness, Petal Pink and Just Jade.

Look at that incredible embossed Just Jade layer, using the Greenery Textured Embossing Folder. The Vanilla layer is also embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder for a more subtle look. I love the addition of the lace trim, giving it a lovely feminine touch, to tie in the background layer.

Wonderful Magenta Madness with a White Peony

Oh my, this Prized Peony Stamp set and coordinating dies are amazing!

When I opened the pack of dies, I thought “how on earth do these work” as I was so overwhelmed with the amount of dies in there.

But once you know how they go together, it’s easy right?!!! And yes, it is really easy to put the flower together. It is 4 dies to create the bloom, each one sliding into the other from smallest to largest, then the stamen last. I have kept this one white as my first attempt, but it really is glorious just like that.

I stamped one of the images in Magenta Madness ink onto the same colour card base. The vellum layer is die cut and added with a couple of strips of Designer Paper over the top before adding the bloom on dimensionals. This made it easy to add some green leaves underneath where you want them.

Both sentiments are from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, stamped in Magenta Madness ink. The 60 is die cut from the retired Little Numbers dies, but there are some new ones in the annual catalogue, which I don’t have just yet.

I made this card for a dear friend who was a work colleague for many years, but left a couple of years ago. It was her 60th birthday which also happened to fall on Father’s Day, so happy birthday Sarah!

Did you see the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the front? It is from the new Holiday catalogue, but it looks fab on this non-Christmassy card. It will be one we can use on lots of different projects, thanks Stampin’ Up!

The lady is stamped in Petal Pink ink and her dress is coloured with the Wink of Stella Glitter pen and the hat was dipped in some Melon Mambo ink to pick up a bit of coordinating colour! The sentiment is stamped over the top afterwards in Melon Mambo ink so it didn’t smudge.

As you open this card, it reveals more of the Garden Impressions Designer Paper which coordinates so well with this elegant lady, don’t you think?!! I can see her at a wonderful garden party!

Hello Crafters,

This morning I share with you a card that I made for a 60th Birthday for a lady who loves red and white! I think I have managed to maintain that brief and add some gorgeous flowers and a little bling!

I stamped the Petite Petals flower image onto the envelope as well as the card! I just love to coordinate the envelopes, it’s a nice touch!

I added some pearls and gold embossing to the Petite Petals flowers that I stamped on red card and used the coordinating punch.
