Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local event here in Melbourne!

Hello Friends,

On Saturday, I attended the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local event here in Melbourne at the Melbourne Park Function Centre. We were lucky it was here in our home town and I was even more excited that four members of my team were able to join me!!! (Unfortunately, Amie wasn’t able to attend and we sure did miss her, and hopefully she may be able to make it to the next one).

Here are the name tags that I made for each of us to wear on our lanyards. I made them using Photoshop Elements on the computer and printed them using our team floral logo. Then I die cut them using the Stitched Shapes framelits, mounted them onto a Melon Mambo circle (Layering Circle framelits) and then laminated them. Then I die cut them again (Layering Circle framelits). I added a small hole punch in the top and added the cords (purchased on ebay).

I also made these cute little boxes using some current and retired Stampin Up colours and DSPs. I actually asked on our team forum what their favourite colour is and went from there (aren’t I sneaky?!!!). The gift tags were made using the coordinating cardstock and the butterfly is from the Move Me thinlits.

and I bet you are wondering what was inside the box?!!! No, not chocolates… I would have eaten them all!!! lol

I actually purchased some bone folders and had them engraved with each of their names on it along with our team name, Team Craftalicious!

Aren’t they adorable???

For demonstrators who attend this event, it coincides with the release of the Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure! So yes, I have a copy in my hot little hands but unfortunately I cannot share it with you just yet, but it won’t be long and you will see lots of new yummy products!

Make a Wish Eclipse card using Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Hello Friends,

My project today is a another Eclipse card using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set!

Eclipse card using Stampin Ups Large Letters dies & Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia 2017 DIY

I love to personalise these cards, but sometimes it is also great to have some birthday cards on hand to use at the last minute, so I made this one for that occasion.

I love this colour combination of Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy!

The easiest way I found to get the letters lined up without them moving, was by putting some washi tape across the letters to hold them in place before die cutting. This also made it easier in the class setting to save time!

Eclipse card with Watercolour Wings

Hello Friends,

My project today is a card I made for my niece’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. Her favourite colours are aqua and pinks, so I’ve used Pool Party, Dapper Denim, Powder Pink and Sweet Sugarplum.

I’m not sure if you can see the Wink of Stella on the body of each butterfly, but it is so pretty in real life!

This was another card we did at my last class and the ladies thought it was so clever and so much easier to create than they imagined!

Who loves donuts or cookies?

Hello Friends,

My project today is was inspired by Connie Tumm from the USA.

Personally, when I first saw this card, I saw those yummy, sweet, fancy jam biscuits, but so many others just saw donuts, so I’m happy to go with either!!!!

This is my version of the card and we made this at my last class with a lovely group of ladies who loved it! They had so much fun making them and they are made donuts!!!

I personally don’t eat donuts, but I do know they come with chocolate, vanilla & strawberry icing with sprinkles on top, so that is what we made.

The card base is chocolate chip, with Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette for the other layers. We used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the oval from the centre of the card.

Some of these punches have retired, but I will always keep them as they come in handy for so many projects just like this! The 3/8″ circle punch was also used for the centre of the each donut!

Carols of Christmas card using Stampin Ups Merry Little Christmas DSP & Layered Leaves DTIEF by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator Australia

Don’t you just love the layers and texture of this card? I love how the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured impressions embossing folder gives such a deep impression as the background and then coordinates so well with the black and white leaf layer of dsp!

The Triple banner punch makes creating banners so quick and easy and perfect. I certainly cannot get them so perfect without this punch!

Adding the layer of silver glimmer adds a touch of class, as does the two little black rhinestones!

Christmas, Stampin' Up!

The Heart of Christmas, Week 21: Beachy Little Christmas

Hello Friends,

My project today uses the Beachy Little Christmas stamp set and the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Beachy Little Christmas card using Stampin Ups Merry Little Christmas DSP by Kate Morgan, Independent Demonstrator, Australia

I began by stamping the shell images on the base card with the coordinating Crumb Cake ink. Next I added a small strip of the Merry Little Christmas Designer series paper and a piece of burlap ribbon.

I stamped the tree image in crumb cake ink and coloured it with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush before die cutting it with the oval and sponging the edge.

The sentiment is also stamped in Crumb Cake ink and sponged the edges before adding it with dimensionals. I think using predominantly crumb cake on this card, resonates with me as being the sand at the beach.

Personalised Birthday Eclipse card with Painted Harvest

Hello Friends,

My Eclipse card today uses the Painted Harvest stamp set and Large Letters Framelits dies, with the following colour combination.

TAMS Color Builder - Soft Suede, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie.jpgI made this card for one of my favourite teachers from my school days, whom I also ended up working with until her Retirement, Patsy.  She is such an amazing person who has so much to deal with but gets on with life, without any fuss. She was such an inspiration to me back in the 80s when she taught me Home Economics; cooking and sewing in Tasmania!

I still keep in touch with Patsy and every year I send her a card for her Birthday and Christmas. So here is her card for this year. I wish you all the best health and love today and always, Patsy. Happy Birthday!

The Eclipse card is a very popular technique at the moment and it works beautifully with this stamp set. The ribbon is retired but it was the perfect 1/4″ cotton ribbon in Pumpkin Pie to coordinate perfectly!

Watercolour Orchids

Hello Friends,

Today I share another card using the amazing, Climbing Orchid Bundle on page 21 of the Annual Catalogue, and by purchasing the stamp set and framelits together, you save an extra 10%.

This card, I did something a bit backwards…. I die cut all the pieces first before colouring or stamping! Yes, I know it sounds a little weird but you will see why in a minute.

Watercolour Orchids.jpg

Watercolour Climbing Orchid card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Demonstrator, Australia

I love the softness of the watercolouring of these flowers. I used an Aquapainter to apply ink to each of the petals allowing each colour to dry before adding the next.  The stem is die cut using the branch from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits!

The centre is a little dark so I added some Wink of Stella to glimmer it up!

I wasn’t sure about adding a sentiment to the front of the card, but I think “hello” can be used for so many occasions, I went with that!

What do you think of this watercolour look? Will you give it a try???

Orchids in Burst

Hello Friends,

It’s less than a week until my sisters birthday, and I know she loves orchids as she has been successfully growing them for many years. When I saw the Climbing Orchid Bundle on page 21 of the Annual Catalogue, I knew I had to purchase it! By purchasing the stamp set and framelits together, you save an extra 10%.

I’m not sure if I will give this card to her or make some more, but this is my first play and it certainly won’t be my last

Climbing Orchid by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

I love the softness of the colouring on these flowers. I used a sponge dauber to lightly colour the petals with Powder Pink, then Berry Burst ink before applying some Wink of Stella. The stem is die cut using the branch from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits!

The top photo is a little dark and the one below, is a little bright, but I was trying to show you the Wink of Stella glimmer on the flowers!

Climbing Orchid by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Demonstrator, Australia

Check out that embossing on the Powder Pink background, isn’t it gorgeous?!! This is the new Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, Layered Leaves.

I wasn’t sure about adding a sentiment to the front of the card, so I decorated the inside and added the “enjoy today” sentiment with another small orchid!
