OnStage 2019 in Sydney

Wow, what a wonderful time I had last weekend in Sydney for OnStage, the Annual event for demonstrators!

I flew up on Friday, leaving cold Melbourne (16 degrees) and arriving in Sydney to 30+ degrees. Thankfully I was picked up by a wonderful team member, Cathy and she drove me back to her home north of Manly. She and her hubby needed to head out for a short time, so I was more than comfortable sitting with her gorgeous dog, Superman, on the back deck over looking the pool with a lovely sea breeze.

Saturday we were up and gone by 7am to head into Darling Harbour to the ICC. The event began and here is our view of the stage with 600+ other demo friends.

Early on in the morning, we received our new Mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure to ogle over. It sure is an amazing catalogue and our first comments were, after picked our jaws up off the floor, “we are in trouble!”.

During the day, after some of the product demonstrations, we get to create 4 x Make N Takes. Here are a couple of them. The first one uses the Peaceful Poppies Suite, absolutely gorgeous 💗

This one is the Parisian Blossoms Suite, I adore the Champagne Rhinestones!

Our backpack we received when arriving for Registration, with lots of goodies inside, including a Stamp Set, pens, notebook and more!

Another part of attending these events is, we are able to place a Product Purchase Premiere order. A select group of products can be purchased within 3 days of the event for those who attended. Mine arrived late yesterday!!!! Here’s a sneak peek of what I ordered!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of what being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator can bring. Attending these events is definitely a highlight for me, catching up with so many like-minded people and making life long friends. If you have ever thought about joining, do it, you won’t be disappointed xx

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local event here in Melbourne!

Hello Friends,

On Saturday, I attended the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local event here in Melbourne at the Melbourne Park Function Centre. We were lucky it was here in our home town and I was even more excited that four members of my team were able to join me!!! (Unfortunately, Amie wasn’t able to attend and we sure did miss her, and hopefully she may be able to make it to the next one).

Craftalicious.jpg

Here are the name tags that I made for each of us to wear on our lanyards. I made them using Photoshop Elements on the computer and printed them using our team floral logo. Then I die cut them using the Stitched Shapes framelits, mounted them onto a Melon Mambo circle (Layering Circle framelits) and then laminated them. Then I die cut them again (Layering Circle framelits). I added a small hole punch in the top and added the cords (purchased on ebay).

I also made these cute little boxes using some current and retired Stampin Up colours and DSPs. I actually asked on our team forum what their favourite colour is and went from there (aren’t I sneaky?!!!). The gift tags were made using the coordinating cardstock and the butterfly is from the Move Me thinlits.

and I bet you are wondering what was inside the box?!!! No, not chocolates… I would have eaten them all!!! lol

I actually purchased some bone folders and had them engraved with each of their names on it along with our team name, Team Craftalicious!

Aren’t they adorable???

For demonstrators who attend this event, it coincides with the release of the Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure! So yes, I have a copy in my hot little hands but unfortunately I cannot share it with you just yet, but it won’t be long and you will see lots of new yummy products!

Today I can also finally share some of the excitement from the Sydney OnStage event held at Luna Park last Saturday. Here is a photo of Catherine and I at the entrance to Lunda Park and the stunning Ferris Wheel with the Harbour Bridge behind! We had perfect sunny weather for the 2 days we were in Sydney.

We were lucky enough to get a table right up the front and here are a few of us from our Art With Heart Team. We had a fantastic time and loved receiving new product and of course, the brand new annual catalogue!!!!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a display stamper and here are my projects!

A few weeks ago, I received a big brown box with 3 of the new In Colour Ink Pads, 2 stamp sets (Beautiful Bouquet & Paint Play), Lovely Laurel thinlits, ribbons, embellishments, In Colour card stock, Pretty Label Punch and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper stack to name a few, to create these projects!

Over the next few months I’ll be able to show you more about my projects and better close up pictures, but what do you think of my display? Did you attended the event in Sydney, and did you see my display?

And here is the view from our hotel room which was absolutely stunning and I just had to share it with you!

Swaps for OnStage

Dear Crafters,

Now that I am in Brisbane for the OnStage Live Stampin’ Up! event for 3 days, I can share with you my swaps!

When we attend live events, we make card fronts only to swap with our demonstrator friends for the hour or so before it all begins. The excitement is rich and full of chatter as we meet new people and swap to gain ideas that we may not have thought of creating.

Anyway, here is what I created for this year’s event.

I am not a confident creator of the vintage style, but I do love it and wanted to have a go seeing as this stamp set has the lacy style stamp.

The floral image is coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers and the white flowers are coloured using the AquaPainter filled with bleach and dipped into a little White Craft Ink just for something a little bit different!

Ready for Convention 2015

Dear Crafters,

I am getting in early today as I am heading to the airport in an hour or so, to travel to the Gold Coast for the Stampin’ Up! Convention!!!! Yay!!! So exciting!!!!

So today, I want to share with you my Convention Swaps. These are card fronts that we, as demonstrators make, to swap with other demonstrators on the first morning of Convention. I have made 52 to take and swap tomorrow morning in various mixed colours. Here are a few of them:

Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon

Sorry they have a bit of reflection, but I seal them into plastic bags so they stay nice and clean and don’t get ruined in my bag travelling.

Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon  Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon  Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon

I have embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Large Polka Dot TIEF. The balloons are die cut from the Balloon Framelits which are still available in the Occasions Catalogue. These are embossed with the Lucky Stars TIEF or Decorative Dots TIEF. The sentiments are stamped from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon  Stampin' Up! Owl Balloon

The owl is made using the Owl Builder Punch and Sahara Sand card stock and coordinating Designer Series Paper. His wings are made using the wings from the Bird Builder Punch. Don’t you love the way I have folded his left wing to hold the twine?!!! So damn cute! The owl is attached to the card with dimensionals.

Convention Mini Swaps

Hello Crafters,

Today I share with you something that our Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team did for Convention 2014 held here in Melbourne this year.

Those who wanted to join this challenge, made a 2″ x 2″ swap using the colour combinations: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Rose Red or Strawberry Slush & Silver.

The idea was to pick a theme, which our up-line Claire chose, Flowers and Friends. I think this was the perfect theme for our lovely team of ladies.

At the end of our first day at Convention, we all met up for a drink and swapped our squares. It was such a lovely idea, getting us all together to chat about Convention, which for many of us, was our first one ever!

So here it is all framed!

IMG_4846

I got a 12″ x 12″ white shadow box frame and layered my background with a piece of Strawberry Slush DSP ~ Whisper White cardstock ~ Strawberry Slush cardstock and then the tricky part of adhering those gorgeous 2″ x 2″ squares evenly!!! I think I did okay?!

The top middle square, I created in My Digital Studio (MDS) and then printed it so we can look back on this for many years to come and remember when and why we made it!  For your free 30 day trial of MDS click here. It is awesome to use in conjunction with the new Project Life products which all coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! range.

Here is a close up of the swaps!

Aren’t they just gorgeous? We have such a talented team of ladies and we love to share our ideas with each other.

Inspire.Create.Share.2014

Hello fellow crafters,

You may have noticed I have been missing lately. Well I am now home from the Stampin’ Up! Convention in my home town, Melbourne. It was my first one & wow, what an event they put on for us.

Three days jam packed of fun, ink, paper, stamps, giveaways, prize patrols, make n takes and so much more. Here are some photos of our fun times with some of my team, Craftalicious. Now to look forward to Convention 2015 on the Gold Coast!!!!

  10380880_770577866300433_1781770310735926235_n

Can you guess what the theme was…. yes, Inspire.Create.Share. and that is exactly what we got!!!!
On arrival on Day 1 it started by collecting their bags then the frenzy of swapping in the Foyer at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. There were over 700 women running around very excitedly meeting new people.
The bags were gorgeous red (Real Red) with a blue lining. The gorgeous bag tag on the left hand side was made by one of my room mates, the very talented Angela Footit, and we stayed at the Travelodge Docklands.  We also got a pen with a stylus on the tip for using with a iPad or smart phone. Inside the bag was our program, lanyard, name tag and First Convention pin.
Shelli Gardner – the Founder of Stampin’ Up! welcomed everyone to Convention and got us all inspired for the days ahead.
We received may awesome stamp sets from the new 2014-2015 annual catalogue to create out Make n Takes and here are some of them!

Here is Angela and myself with our prizes!

I hope to be able to share with you some more inspiring creations over the next few weeks, especially the new blendabilities which we received as a gift!!!
