Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 32 – Pacific Point

The Many Messages stamp set is just that – 19 messages in one stamp!!!

Use the Stamparatus to get the perfect imprint and then cut them all out in one go using the Message Die.

Once you die cut the stamped image, you are left with a negative piece that I keep and place over my card base to use as a template to insert the pieces back onto my card!

Using the die, I also cut some plain white and Pacific Point card, so I had plain die cuts to insert back onto my card. In the next image you can see I placed 3 of the stamped dies first, then placed some of the blue and white ones around it.

I added a few of the sequins from the Whale of a Time Suite with a glue dot for some extra embellishment.

The background was created with four 2cm strips of DSP and one in Pacific Point card.

Flower & Field paper is glorious

Love You Always with Flower & Field DSP by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up! Australia 2021.

A Basic Black card base adds to the dramatic and colourful card.

Yes, another of the patterned pieces from the Flower & Field DSP (earn free during Saleabration 2021). This one really does remind me of a lovely field of flowers, and I chose the Poppy Parade card to add some stamped images, finished off with Gilded Leafing!

The DSP is glued to the Bumblebee matt layer before some of the Bumblebee Ribbon is tied around the layers. A double bow of Bumblebee ribbon and the Gingham ribbon is added. This layer is then glue to the card front.

To apply the Gilded Leafing, I stamped the floral images using Versamark ink, added Heat & Stick Powder, shook off the excess before melting the powder with my Heat Tool. Add some Gilded Leafing Flakes over the now sticky Versamark and rub it around with your fingers. Many people use a paint brush, but I find my fingers get a much better effect! Die cut the images and add them to the card with Glue.

Week 31 – Old Olive

Tonight’s card is using some of the new Jan-Jun Mini catalogue products, the Forever & Always Bundle!

Old Olive – Rococo Rose – Whisper White

Elegant Love You Always for Old Olive Colour Creations Showcase by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2021.

My card base is Rococo Rose with a matt layer of Old Olive. I cut a strip of Love You Always Specialty DSP and the same in the True Love DSP (coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers). These were adhered to the Old Olive layer and some Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon attached at the join using Tear & Tape. The ribbon is folded over the edges and behind the Olive layer. Now this is glued to the card base. I tied a ribbon bow and added it with Glue Dots.

The ‘Love’ is die cut in Old Olive card and Whisper White card for the finer layer, adhered with Multipurpose Glue.

Lastly, I stamped the ‘with’ sentiment in Old Olive ink and added some Basic Pearls.

I love the 2 step stamping of this large flower and using the Stamparatus makes it super easy to line up and get the perfect inked image.

The coordinating dies cut out the images so you can get that perfect border around the edge of the stamped image. The bloom is popped up on dimensionals, as is the sentiment.

What inspires you?

That may sound like an odd question. But, stop and think about it.

Where do you get ideas from? What sparks the creative thoughts flowing? Have you been feeling in a slump lately?

With everything going on right now, I am sure that many are not feeling like their peppy selves or are maybe finding a hard time feeling “creative”.

Keep looking for that creative spark!

The good news is there is only 1 more sleep until the new 2020-2021 Annual catalogue goes live and you can look at all those gorgeous pages of amazing and inspirational photos of new projects!

What are you most looking forward to seeing? I cannot wait to get the new In Color Inkpads!!!!

Tonight’s card features the Ornate Garden Suite of products. I stamped the large image on black card with Versamark ink and heat set it with White Emboss Powder.

Then I coloured the entire image with the White Chalk Marker and let it dry before colouring with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The Designer Paper is so colourful, I actually cut it about a third of the way down, flipped it over to reveal the other side and glued them to the card base. The white ribbon is wrapped around to cover the join! The image was then added with dimensionals.

On the inside, I placed another image in the bottom corner to carry the theme over.

Hello, Ornate Garden Suite

Tonight’s card was made for my mother in law to say Hello during this crazy time in isolation, using the new items from the upcoming Annual catalogue starting 3 June. However, these items are available now as an early release!

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and white emboss powder added and heat set. This sentiment is from the Seriously The Best stamp set which is retiring, along with the Leaf Punch 😦

On the inside, I just placed the simple sentiment and a flower image in the corner, leaving plenty of room for my message.

TIP: The Whisper White Seam Binding ribbon was a little too much for this card, so I simply coloured it with my Stampin’ Blends Marker to colour it Old Olive to match the card base!

Creative Showcase Sketch

Welcome to the May Art With Heart Creative Showcase. This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below. The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team.

Today’s card uses the Ornate Garden Suite and the Peaceful Poppies Suite of
Products, all which will still be available in the new Annual catalogue starting 3 June!

Olive Balmy Navy White Flirty

The front of the Balmy Blue card base is embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, before a layer of Old Olive card, die cut with the Ornate Layers dies. A Piece of DSP is added, long with other elements you can see.

This centre feature is the ornate style stamp set image stamped onto some Sparkle Glimmer Paper and die cut in a circle. I’ve coloured the image, gently in a dabbing motion so as not to ruin them, with Stampin’ Blends Markers. How pretty does it look?!!

On the inside I have the same image stamped on Whisper White card stock, coloured the same way and fussy cut. This is glued to the Champagne Foil Sheet, die cut with the gorgeous Ornate Layers dies. The Navy card is embossed with the new Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder.

But then you open it again to reveal the inside of the card!

How did I do that? The card consists of 2 standard card bases, but the Navy one is flipped over and opens in the opposite direction and is glued behind the Balmy Blue card base!

Family Party in the Round

Tonight’s card is a bright and fun birthday card, exactly what they need to be!

Are you sick of seeing my Stamp in the Round cards? Sorry, but I am just loving them at the moment. I think I am hooked, hehe.

I stamped the background with the stars image from the Family Party stamp set, before adding some Birthday Bonanza DSP and then the stamped layer.
