Week 11 – Blueberry Bushel

This handmade Father’s Day fun fold card features the Textured Notes stamp set, Pretty Florals dies and the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I started with a piece of the DSP and using Blending Brushes, added the ink from Blueberry Bushel, Lost Lagoon to Coastal Cabana (I think there was some Lemon Lime Twist ink on my brush, oopsies). Once done I splattered some Blueberry Bushel ink for extra texture. On the centre piece, I repeated the process, but I also stamped some of the images from the Textured Notes stamp set. After I die cut some leaves in Lost Lagoon card and blended some Blueberry Bushel ink to the tips, I used the die cut negative piece to use as a stencil and added some blended leaves behind the focal image.

I added the small triangle in the bottom corner to hold the card closed. Simply slide the centre piece out to open the card, rather than creating a belly band! The main image is stamped and fussy cut with some ink blending to soften the white cardstock. The sentiment is from the Ephemera pack. These are brilliant for adding quick sentiments to your cards.

Blackberry Bliss: Beautiful Butterflies Z Fold card with easy step-by-step measurements

Week 10 – Blackberry Bliss

This handmade Z Fold card features the Beautiful Butterflies dies and the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP) and it fits into our C6 envelope.

How did I make this?

1. Crumb Cake cardstock 21cm x 21cm, score at 5.25cm & 10.5cm.
2. Fold in half then back on itself to create a Z Fold.
3. Open it out flat, place in the trimmer with scorelines horizontal, and cut at 15cm.
4. Take the smaller section and flip it to create the bottom panel. Before adhering it, add the DSP to each end of the card front and some Basic White on the inside panel to write a message.
5. Add DSP to each end of the panel and a small square if Blackberry Bliss card with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment.
6. Die cut butterflies and adhere to the card, along with another sentiment on the front.

Berry Burst: Pop Up Vase card

Week 9 – Berry Burst

This handmade card features the Pretty Florals Bundle and three different Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs!

The Beautiful Bokeh DSP is used to die cut the petals on the Berry Burst flowers seen in the image below. The leaves were die cut from the reverse side of some Thoughtful Journey DSP for instant varied colour.

Open the card and that is where the pop up vase appears, full of Pretty Florals. The mechanism is attached to the card front and slides to pull the vase into its glory and closing the card, slides it flat again.

The ‘vase’ is from the Perennial Lavender DSP. All the leaves here are die cut from the Thoughtful Journey DSP. All the flowers are stamped onto Beautiful Bokeh DSP and die cut then added to the card, some glued, and some on Mini Dimensionals.

Basic Gray: Thankful Garden Fun Fold card

Week 8 – Basic Gray

This handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Thankful Garden Bundle, Layered Thoughts stamp set, Lovely Garden DSP and some Ephemera packs.

All the images are stamped in Basic Gray ink and coloured using Blending Brushes and the masks with inks; Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, Granny Apple Green and the DSP is coloured with Basic Gray in and a Blender Pen!

When the card is open, you have this wonderful scene and gorgeous sentiment on the inside using the Ephemera packs; Foiled Frames & Labels and the Greetings for All Mix & Match. Those small leaves were stamped and coloured the same way as the Designer Paper.

You can see some extra die cut leaves that have some blending on them and some droplets of water slattered on them.

on the back is the writing panel with the large bold sentiment [Layered Thoughts stamp set].

Balmy Blue: Pretty Florals Celebrating You

Week 6 – Balmy Blue

This handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Pretty Florals Bundle, Coneflower Celebrations stamp set, and the Everyday Arches dies.

On my Balmy Blue card base, is another layer dry embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. I ran my paper snips around the edges to rought it up and add texture. I used Blends Combo markers; Balmy Blue an Pretty Peacock to splatter ink, before adhering it to the card base. The arches are die cut, and the Balmy Blue one is dry embossed with teh Glass and Gardens Embossing Folder. The Basic White arch is stamped with the Pretty Florals stamp set in Balmy Blue and Pretty Peacock ink. The petals are die cut and adhered on a Mini Dimensional. A tiny Gold Twisted Thread bow is added with ome gems.

Week 6 – Azure Afternoon

This handmade Circle Flip & Pop Out fun fold card features @stampinupofficial products; Celebratory Sips 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). You may have noticed I also used this fun paper last week too, but this week in totally differrent colours. I love how the Azure Afternoon really pops with this paper. Again, all the images are fussy cut from the DSP.

As you open the card, the circle feature pops into the centre of the card

On the inside this ‘bay window’ style feature is fun, with more patterns of the DSP and another fussy cut drink!

Here you can see the fun fold design from the top. I added some extra DSP in the back behind the fun feature.

This handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Celebratory Sips 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). It is so fun, bright and cheery. This style card has been all the rage lately in Social Media and so I’ve created my own too. By fussy cutting the drinks from one of the patterns of the paper, makes cardmaking super easy. Note on this card, there is no stamping or ink used.

Super Simple Cross Card with Free Tutorial

This super simple Cross card features the beautiful Floral Delight Designer Series Paper (DSP) and my new favourite In Color™, Secret Sea. It just goes with everything and is my new ‘black’!

This is a standard A5 side opening card, but has the cross feature on the front that folds flat to go into a C6 envelope. This could be used for a Sympathy card or an Easter card.

Strawberry Slush Coneflower Celebrations Birthdy cards

Week 4 – Strawberry Slush

These handmade cards feature @stampinupofficial products; Coneflower Celebrations Bundle. I am thrilled that Strawberry Slush has returned to the SU colours. It’s a gorgeous bright pink that goes with every other colour in the range.

Card 1 – features the dies in the bundle. The petals have been ink blended with blending brushes and Strawberry Slush ink. Other cardstock used; Thick Basic White, Early Espresso and Summer Splash. The cardbase is dry embossed with the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder. A Strawberry Slush Blends Marker was used to splatter ink onto the background.

Card 2 – features the stamps in the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set. The cardbase has some white diecut circular strips adhered to add some interest. Remember to add Adhesive Sheets to the back of your white cardstock to make it easier than using messy glue. The stem and leaves are stamped and dicut in Summer Splash. The Faux Linen Ribbon is cut in half lengthwise and added behind the sentiment. How cute is the Tiny Bee Trinket?!!

Close up of the flower – I used a stamping platform to ink up the stamp, starting with the top in Darling Duckling, then used the Timid Tiger Stampin’ Write Marker to add some flicking strokes round the base before stamping onto the Basic White card. Then ink the petals in Strawberry Slush ink and stamp. I used Blends Combo Markers; Darling Duckling, Bubble Bath and Strawberry slush to fill the image. A black Journalling Pen and White Jello Pen adding the feature dots.

Secret Sea: Pop Up Floating Shadow Box card

Week 3 – Secret Sea

I have to say, I am in love this new colour – such a gorgeous rich deep blue and it is even stunning stamped off for a lighter shade. Anyway, I get side-tracked, this handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Pretty Florals Bundle and the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP).

This patterned paper is so beautiful, I didn’t know which piece to use first, but I selected this one as it has my favourite colours. The flowerrs are stamped in Secret Sea, Petunia Pop (both 1st & 2nd generation) and the stems are watercoloured with Shy Shamrock to get the lighter shade.

But here’s the wow when you open the card!

Here’s the side view where you can really see why it gets its name. I decided to use a more muted pattern paper on the inside to let the feature of this card shine. I stamped the floral image overr the pop up panel in Secret Sea to add more of a soft design element.

That window is die cut using the Nested Essentials dies, as are the layering elements. A strip of Window Sheet holds the sentiment layers in place. More of the same flowers are added here.

Both of the sentiments are from the Simply Said stamp set. Those gorgeous Flat Pearls finish it off nicely with the little Gingham Ribbon bow.

Lisa Curcio has a YouTube Tutorial for this but I have converted it to suit metric measurements.

Secret Sea (card base): 28cm x 10.5cm
DSP: 10cm x 13cm, cut 3.5cm off the bottom for lower section

Inside:
Basic White: 10cm x 9.5cm
DSP (back): 10cm x 9.5cm
DSP (strip): 10cm x 1.5cm

Pop Up Panel:
Secret Sea: 18cm x 10.5cm
DSP: 7cm x 5.5cm to fit inside the Nested Essentials dies
Basic White: 6cm x 4.5cm to fit inside the Nested Essentials dies
Window Sheet: 10cm x 1.5cm
