The Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Paper has been so popular and today I use it again.
I have sponged it with Lost Lagoon ink and wiped off the excess from the embossed areas.
See how I have cut the card on an angle? Well this is something that goes against my OCD!!!
I had to try it, as I have seen so many cards that look awesome. I have to say, I am not totally happy with this card, but I have had so many wonderful comments from people that they love it!
and check out the cute little crocodile, with his tail over the edge of the circle. To create that effect, I roughly cut around his tail to about half way and then placed it in the circle punch (lifting the tail out) so it wouldn’t be cut off.
I also stamped the inside of the card!

I am using the 2013-2015 In Colours which will retire in a couple of months when the new Annual Catalogue is released and I will be very sad to see them go. I just love these colours!
I have used a Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue and with each bundle you can save an extra 15%.
The bundle is Petal Potpourri stamp set and the coordinating Flower Medallion punch.
The base card is Strawberry Slush with a layer of 2013-2015 In Colours Designer Series Paper.
The flowers are stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on the coordinating card stock and punched out using the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch. I used dimensionals to add the flowers to the card, slightly overlapping them.
Be sure to decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope!

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is Just Add Eggs or Ovals, JAI#255.
My immediate reaction to this would be Easter Eggs with only 2 weeks until the Easter Bunny arrives, but I was sure many others will head in this direction, so I have done something completely different!
I have never made a Spinning Card, so this was the perfect chance to try it.
I love this Crazy About You bundle with the coordinating framelits. I wanted something fun so I chose a base card of Coastal Cabana with some Melon Mambo and Whisper White.
First, I cut the 2 ovals together before stamping the flower in coordinating ink. I also did it again on some scrap card and I used the 1-3/4″ scallop circle punch to cut it out.
I punched two circles of cardstock with the 1/2″ circle punch and joined them together with 2 dimensionals, one on top of the other. Glue this to the centre back of the flower. Slide it into the gap between the ovals of the card so it will slide around the oval.
This is the spinning part. Move the large flower around the oval!
I added the sentiment Bravo and some coordinating candy dots and a rhinestone to the centre of the flower. I used double dimensionals (one on top of the other) to sit the layers up so that the flower will spin easily around the oval.
Be sure to decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope. I never send a “nude” envelope!
This was such a fun card to make and not as difficult as I thought it was going to be!

Today I share some more sympathy cards following my recent posts earlier this month, where I said I would make some in advance to make it easier for when the time comes to send one out to a loved one during their difficult time.
But, this time I have done a more masculine card. You don’t want to be sending a pretty pink one to a male friend, but I will include one of those too!

On Monday, I shared a couple of cards using the Painted Petals stamp set in blues and yellows. Today, I share some more cards using this set, but with some different colours; Blackberry Bliss
I made 2 cards, so here is the first:
I have used Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight & Wild Wasabi ink pads.
I even added some coordinating Daffodil Delight ribbon.
I stamped the inside of the card as well, something that is a must in all my cards, as you know!
and the second card I made using these same colours is below.
Aren’t they just stunning colours together?!!

Today I have a couple of cards using the Painted Petals stamp set. I love the colour blue, and when I opened the Painted Blooms DSP, I saw this blue floral pattern and had to play!
I made 2 cards switching the card base colours, so here they are:
I embossed the background of the yellow card with the Spring Flowers TIEF. I wasn’t sure if it was too much, so I left the blue card plain. What do you prefer?
I love how this set gives that water colour effect when you stamp it.
I even coloured the pearls with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (on the first card)!
I stamped the inside of the card as well, something that is a must in my cards, as well as stamping the envelope. I can’t bare to send a card in a naked envelope!

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is a colour challenge JAI#254.
I have to admit when I saw these earthy tones, it wasn’t something that really appealed to me. I prefer the brighter colours, but this is what challenges are all about, challenging ourselves to try new things!
I was in need of a thank you card for one of the prep mums who called yesterday to say that my youngest had left her lunchbox at school. We were already on our way to Kids Club and I wasn’t able to go back to get it, so this lovely mum wanted to drop it to our home. I was so thankful to her for even suggesting to do that for us, so I felt the need to make her this card!
I have just received this gorgeous Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack which is one of the four new Sale-a-bration freebies released this month. For every $90 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products you can choose from a range of bonus product and this stack is one of them!
The butterfly is die cut in Baked Brown Sugar and Tangelo Twist card together in the one layer.
The vellum is coloured from behind with the Stampin’ Write Markers in all four of the colours and adhered to the card with the coloured side down. I used the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to to the stitching around the edge.
Be sure tho decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope helps tie it all together!
