Who doesn’t love cake?!!! Check out this amazing rainbow cake of glorious colour without the calories!!!

This white card fits into a DL business size envelope, so it is larger than the normal A5 card, but hey, it needed to be to fit all those layers of cake!

I took 7 colours of card stock and cut them into 1/2″ strips and glued them to a piece of scrap card, butting each one up against the other. Then I cut off the overhanging pieces with scissors.

Once I had the right size, I then added some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint between each layer and used the Heat Tool to puff it up. How cool does it look, so realistic like icing oozing out!!!

Using the Leaf & Classic Label punches I was able to create the candles.

Wow, it’s almost the end of another decade 😲 Where has the year gone? Did it disappear as fast for you too?!!!

Tonight’s card is another sneak peek of the Country Club Suite – but this is a quick and easy one to recreate. Simply using a piece of the Country Club Designer Series Paper, cover the front of the card.

To make the collar, I used the 4th largest die from the Stitched Rectangle dies, and placed it on an angle so the bottom section of the die is at the corner of the card and the centre. Once you have this piece cut, use it as a template to cut the other side exactly the same size. The centre piece with the buttons, I just used the same die cutting a couple of times to get a narrow piece. Glue this piece down before the collar. The buttons are the small golf ball dies in Whisper White card stock!

The gold clubs are die cut in Garden Green card stock.

Stamp the envelope and the inside of the card to tie them all together.

Merry Christmas with a twist!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration yesterday and you were able to have a quieter day today to recover!

Tonight I have another sneak peek for you with the Country Club Suite available in the new Mini Catalogue starting on 3 January 2020!!!

My parents have been very keen golfers for many years and all my Dad wanted for Christmas was a handmade card. So, when this suite arrived just before Christmas, I knew I had to use it, but with a twist to make it a Christmas card.

No the tees, golf balls and grass are not upside down LOL, they were deliberately placed like this to look like Christmas baubles hanging down from some greenery!!!

See those golf balls? They are wood elements and I embossed them! Yes, I ran them through my machine using the large golf ball die to get those dimples on the balls!!! Give it a go, the outcome is so cool.

On the inside, I carried the theme through and added the golf image by colouring it with Stampin’ Write Markers direct to the stamp to get the colouring of the grass, tee and ball!

Sneak Peek of Timeless Tropical

Tonight I have another sneak peek for some Tropical goodness available in the new Mini Catalogue starting on 3 January 2020!!!

The Tropical Oasis Suite is one not to miss. You can see loads of this suite used on this card; the Timeless Tropical stamp set, In the Topics dies, Coastal Weave 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Tropical Oasis Trinkets and the Braided Burlap Trim!

How gorgeous is that Coastal Weave embossing folder?!!! Oh my, I just adore it! I sponged the edges of this layer with a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink.

The Braided Burlap Ribbon is soft and at the ends, I pulled it gently so that it started to unravel for a more coastal feel. I tied one of the trinkets to it with some Linen Thread.

The Hibiscus flower is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and then I used a Blender Pen to gently move some of the colour around. This method was also used on the leaves (Garden Green ink). The centre of the flower is coloured with the Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker with some Wink of Stella on the stamen.

Sneak Peek of Timeless Tulips

One week to Christmas, where has this year gone? It has flown by so quickly and the kids finish school on Friday, so they will be around to help out prior to Christmas Day celebrations and my brother-in-laws home. What are you doing for Christmas?

Tonight I have a sneak peek of the Stamp set we received at OnStage last month, Timeless Tulips. It also has a coordinating punch, so no need to fussy cut the tulips, yay!

This is a Pear Pizzazz card base and then stamping onto Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz and Rococo Rose ink. Stamp 3 extra large tulips and 2 leaves and punch out. Add these with dimensionals once the card is put together. Linen thread is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow. The sentiment is also from the same set and added with mini dimensionals.

OnStage 2019 in Sydney

Wow, what a wonderful time I had last weekend in Sydney for OnStage, the Annual event for demonstrators!

I flew up on Friday, leaving cold Melbourne (16 degrees) and arriving in Sydney to 30+ degrees. Thankfully I was picked up by a wonderful team member, Cathy and she drove me back to her home north of Manly. She and her hubby needed to head out for a short time, so I was more than comfortable sitting with her gorgeous dog, Superman, on the back deck over looking the pool with a lovely sea breeze.

Saturday we were up and gone by 7am to head into Darling Harbour to the ICC. The event began and here is our view of the stage with 600+ other demo friends.

Early on in the morning, we received our new Mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure to ogle over. It sure is an amazing catalogue and our first comments were, after picked our jaws up off the floor, “we are in trouble!”.

During the day, after some of the product demonstrations, we get to create 4 x Make N Takes. Here are a couple of them. The first one uses the Peaceful Poppies Suite, absolutely gorgeous 💗

Tonight’s card is the same style as the one I showed you recently. You can see it here. However this one opens in landscape, rather than portrait, but it is the same concept!

I began with Poppy Parade card: 21cm x 14.8cm folded in half.
The DSP Layer: 10cm x 14.3cm is glued to the card front and then the circle punch is used to punch the window. The sentiment is stamped and a few different punches were used to layer it. The Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder was used for added interest on the Poppy Parade Story Label punched piece.

The inside panel is 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″. Before adhering it into the card, I added a little die cut bird and ‘thanks’ and stamped Heartfelt in Poppy Parade ink. I also stamped the leaves directly onto the insert card. Then I stamped two of the flower images and die cut them before gluing them down.

Window pop up card with Painted Seasons

Tonight I have this pretty Lemon Lime Twist card created with the Painted Seasons Bundle. The paper is so beautiful with all the succulents. I created the window in the front using the 1 3/4″ circle punch and then framed it with Powder Pink scallop circle, die cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.

The succulent flower is inked with Lemon Lime Twist and then I used the Flirty Flamingo and Call Me Clover Stampin’ Write Markers to add some detail to the stamp before stamping it onto the white card. The one on the inside left of the card was initially stamped with Pool Party ink and the same markers to add the detail. The sentiment is die cut 3 times and layered together slightly offsetting each one, then adding some Wink of Stella on top!

When you open the card it has this fancy fold inside!

The inside panel is 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″. I added a strip of DSP down the right side and stamped the leaves and added the succulent so it appears through the circle window on the front.

Colour Creations: Ooh, I love Rich Razzleberry!

Tomorrow I fly out to New Zealand for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live Event in Auckland; a 3 day event full of fun and catching up with my other demonstrator friends, who are like family to me and I can’t wait!

But in the meantime, we still have a Colour Creations blog hop to share with you and tonight we are featuring our 43rd colour; Rich Razzleberry and it is one of my favourites.

I have used the stunning, Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Annual catalogue and coordinated it with the Tea Together stamp set.

The tea cup and flower images were stamped lightly in Sahara Sand ink onto Whisper White card and then I coloured them using the Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen.

The four tiny Rich Razzleberry die cut flowers and the sentiment have Wink of Stella on them, can you see it? Then I placed a small Pearl into the centre of each flower. I also added some of the Velvet Ribbon behind the Tea Cup.

It’s almost Easter… and that can only mean 1 thing, right?

It’s almost Easter and time for some chocolate treats that I packaged up for my latest class ladies who attended!

2017-2019 In Colours by Kate Morgan, Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

I am using Lemon Lime Twist card stock with the Gingham Gala DSP and the cute little bunny and sentiment from the Fable Friends stamp set.

Lemon Lime Twist is one of the soon to retire In Colours and I will actually be a little sad when it goes. The other In Colours leaving soon are Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.

Anyway, for my project, I made these cute little Easter Boxes and put a little chocolate bunny inside. I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate right?! I stamped the images with Gray Granite ink and coloured it with Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.

I recently bought myself a little electric mobility scooter, because I cannot drive due to my MS (although I’m working on that, learning to drive with hand controls) and saving like mad to get the car converted with a little help from my friends via Go Fund Me.

So I took my little scooter out recently all the way to the shops to see what Aldi had to offer in the way of Easter eggs, and I found these cute bunnies which fit perfectly into this little box!
