Today, I have one of the cutest stamp sets in the new Occasions catalogue, Fable Friends. It has Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle duck images and these absolutely take me back to my childhood. My Nanna (who passed away in 1980) even cross-stitched both of these for my sister and myself when we were young children. I still have it and it’s so precious to me, so when I saw this in the catalogue it was straight on my list!

My card base is Balmy Blue, embossed using the new Lace Dynamic TIEF. The So Saffron circle is die cut using the Wonderful Floral Framelits dies and the leaves are from the same set, cut in Soft Sea Foam. The flower is from the Wonderful Romance stamp set which coordinates with these framelits.

Peter Rabbit is stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake. I had to fussy cut him so he sat on top of the yellow die cut. I added a couple of little pearl embellishments for his buttons.

Today, I have some cute Paper Loop Decorations that I have made with some retired Stampin’ Up! products, but I have a link below for our current DSPs that will only be available until 2 January, so get in quick.

They are so pretty and more flower-like than many other tutorials out there, which are mainly snowflakes shapes.  I made these for my close friends who catch up most Fridays for coffee!

What a busy Christmas Day we had with all the family and extended family coming to our house to celebrate. I love seeing all the kids, cousins and our newest member, Conor who is 5 weeks old, join us! It is a time for no one being excluded and I love that everyone came who we had invited. The relaxed atmosphere and everyone helping themselves and feeling comfortable, made my day.

I can now share with you a couple of the kids gifts for my nieces and nephews. As they are getting older and they have everything they need, I find it difficult to buy for them, so we give them each a gift card. But this year, I wanted to make it a bit different to the usual gift card holder or just putting it in an envelope with a card, so I found these glass jars, placed the gift card inside and filled them up with lollies. I mean, what kid doesn’t love some extra sugar on Christmas Day, right?!!!

To decorate the tops, I tied some ribbon around each one and added a monogram of their name (luckily they are all different initials) in glimmer paper, with a starburst punch of Christmas DSP and a circle die cut of coordinating card. How beautiful do they look?
