Wild Wheat: Peekaboo Arches Fun Fold card with Storybook Moments

Week 51 – Wild Wheat

This is the final colour in the Stampin’ Up! Collection. Next week we will start from the beginning of the alphabet, so please join me next Wednesday, but in the meantime, enjoy my Wild Wheat project.

This handmade card is a fun fold card using my favourite Everyday Arches dies and the Storybook Moments Suite Collection.

These gorgeous Beatrix Potter inspired products remind me of all the storybooks read to me as a child, they were my favourite, and I read them to my girls when they were little. I love how the front of the card has the arched window (remember Play School on ABC TV?!).

As you open up the card you are wow’d with more details and the die cut elements from the Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

The Storybook Friends and Storybook Garden Patch bundles are stamped, coloured and diecut and work perfectly with the patterned paper & more!

Close up of the Peter Rabbit image coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers and the Colour Lifter dotted on to create the fur. It is so cute?!!!

on the back is where you write your message to the recipient!

I was inspired by Dawn Griffiths at The Glitter Pit (click for tutorial).

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday as I embark on the Stampin’ Up!  colours again, starting with our brand new 2025-2027 In Colors™.

Soft Sea Foam: Woven Textures Sympathy Card

Week 50 – Soft Sea Foam

Today’s handmade card features the Textured Notes stamp set and coordinating dies and the Unbounded Love stamp set and dies and the Spotlight on Nature dies with the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I adhered a piece of the DSP to the entire card front before working out my layers. I cut the darker DSP with the Textured Notes die, then stamped all of my images and sentiment on Basic White or Soft Seam Foam card. The leaves and circle element under the sentiment were fussy cut with Paper Snips and placed on the card to see where I wanted to add some extra stamped elements on the background. I used Pecan Pie and Early Espresso inks along with Pecan Pie and Soft Sea Foam Blends Markers to splatter.

I also did more splattering with my Blends on the leaves. The sentiment is stamed is Early Espresso ink and die cut with the Unbounded Love dies. I ran the edges around on my inkpad to get some more highlights.

The Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon was attached to a narrow piece of White card covered with Stampin’ Seal and folded to add lots of texture.

I added some Neutral Matte Dots to finish.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Wild Wheat.

Smoky Slate: Z Fold card with Everyday Arches and Beautiful Butterflies

Week 49 – Smoky Slate

This handmade card features a Smoky Slate card base measuring 29.7cm x 10.5cm, scored at 9.9cm & 19.8cm and folded in three and dry embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing folder. The Everyday Arches dies are used to die cut 3 x Bubble Bath arches, 3 x Smoky Slate arches and 3 x Basic White arches.

The large butterfly die is cut in the three colours and glued together in the centre. The body is die cut in Basic Black card. Two of the Basic White arches are stamped with Versamark ink, White WOW Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. A Blending Brush with Bubble Bath ink is blended over the butterflies to reveal the magic! This is known as the Emboss Resist Technique.

I also took the Smoky Slate and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and gently placed the larger tip inside the lid and carefully flicked ink onto the White arches to get the splatters.

When assembling the card, the Bubble Bath arches are glued on first to the card base, then a piece of gold Open Weave Trim across the card length. The White and Slate arches are glued together and then onto the card.

The sentiment is also heat embossed with White Wow Emboss Powder and added on Mini Dimensionals. Some sequins were added to the centre of the butterfly and around the card.

The centre panel is splattered with Blends Markers and embellishments around the edges. This is the panel for writing a message. Thes smaller butterflies were die cut from Bsic White card that I splattered with the Blends Markers before die cutting. Then added the body in Basic Black card.

The last panel is the same as the front panel with emboss resist and blending, and some more die cut butterflies and sequins added.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Soft Sea Foam.

Shaded Spruce: Everyday Arches with Perennial Lavender & Beautiful Butterflies

Week 48 – Shaded Spruce

Today’s card base is created using the largest of the Everyday Arches dies. Starting with a Shaded Spruce folded A6 card, I placed the die so the left side of the die is on the outside of the card fold. The next arch is die cut with a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The next arch is Shaded Spruce and it is stamped with the Elements of Text stamp in the same colour ink.

The butterfly is die cut from another piece of the DSP and the body in Basic Black. The flowers and leaves are die cut using the Country Birdhouse dies in Basic White card. The leaves are water coloured with a Win of Stella and Shaded Spruce ink. Some Low Profile Dots are dded to the centres of the flowers and the sentiment is from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

On the inside another smaller arch with some extra die cut details.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Smoky Slate.

Real Red: Sending lots of love

Week 47 – Real Red

Today’s card features the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) with the Hearts of Elegance bundle.

On a Read Red card base, A Gold Foil layer is added. The SDSP is also run through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Patterns of Friendship die, giving a subtle striped effect. I cut two lengths of Gold Open Weave Trim and added them on Seal+ across the centre of the card to add some texture.

The next layer is the Everyday Arches dies in Basic White. I used the next die two sizes down to cut out the centre to create the arched window.

The hearts are cut in Real Red and Gold Foil and the flowers are stamped in Versamark ink, Gold WOW Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. There are coordinating dies to cut these out. The sentiment is stamped and fussy cut and added on Mini Dimensionals. I added Wink of Stella to the large red heart later for extra sparkle!

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Shaded Spruce.

Pumpkin Pie: Friends of the Ocean card

Week 46 – Pumpkin Pie

Today’s card features the Friends of the Ocean Designer Series Paper (DSP) with other colours of cardstock from the colours in the DSP. The Summer Splash piece has been dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. The ink splatter on the cardbase is from the Elements of Text stamp set. Some Open Weave Trim is placed behind all the card layers.

The lobster is fussy cut from a sheet of the DSP and attached to a white die cut (Everyday Arches dies) with Dimensionals. I used my Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker to add some splatters to the white arch. Some pearls were added, as you always need some extra embellishments.

Here’s a close up of that fussy cut lobster and you can see the ink splatter better!

On the inside, some more of that bright patterned paper with as Melon Mambo die cut (Textured Notes dies) and a piece of Basic White with a sentiment stamped in Pumpkin Pie.

Envelope Box Card

While all my Stampin’ Up! friends are in Brisbane at the #OnStage2025 3-day event, I was not so fortunate to be able to travel this time, but I will be stalking them all to see their excitement as they receive a copy of the new Annual Catalogue and share new product inspiration and amazing achievements.

Today’s fun fold card uses some new Online Exclusive products, the Lovely Garden Suite Collection. I am using only a couple of these items from the collection, the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Thankful Garden stamp set.

Lovely Garden Suite #165541

This is a very similiar concept to the card in a box that was very popular a few years back.

All the flowers are fussy cut from the Designer paper pack and layered onto the card.

Here is a side view to see the beautiful layering.

I was inspired by Claire @ Created the Ottaway in the UK who called her design, an envelope flower card and you can find her YouTube tutorial here.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you visit again.

Poppy Parade: Mixed Florals

Week 44 – Poppy Parade

Today we are using the Mixed Media Florals Memories & More Card Pack, the Greetings for All Memories & More Euphemera Pack and the Mixed Florals Bundle.

Card 1 – Mixed Media Florals Memories & More Card Pack and the Greetings for All Memories & More Euphemera Pack for a quick sentiment.

On a Thick Basic White cardbase, I’ve used one of the Mixed Media Florals M&M cards as my background instantly creating a frame. The white frame is die cut using two of the nesting Textured Notes dies and this is added on Dimensionals for some added depth.

The image is stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured using Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers. Die cut using the coordinating dies and glued to the white frame.

The sentiment is also glued to the frame. They are brilliant to add to your cards, especially if you are time poor and need quick sentiments. Some Tinsel Gems were added to finish it off!

Card 2 – is a stepped up verion with the other main image in the Mixed Florals bundle. Adding some On the Go DSP (right) & 2024-26 In Color™ DSP (left) with the stamped/die cut image on top on Dimensionals. I also added the white diecut behind for added interest. Using Stampin’ Blends Combo markers in Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Summer Splash & Shy Shamrock to colour it.

I decided to stamp the image again and fussy cut the tulips and oloured them again and added them on top with a Dimensional. Some stamped/coloured/diecut ladybugs were added for cuteness. The sentiment [Beautiful Butterflies] is stamped and fussy cut with a White Ribbon bow attached behind then added to the card on more Dimensionals. I used a retired corner rounder punch for the corners. Some 2024-26 In Color™ Resin Dots are added to finish.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Pretty Peacock.

Pool Party: Otterly Adorable Fun Reveal card

Week 43 – Pool Party

Here is my project using the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper and the Otterly Amazing dies to cut the images out of the papers.

I used the Textured Notes dies to cut the rectangle in the Basic White layer to create a frame with some of the papers behind. Some Riverside Irregular Pearls were added beside the otters.

Open the card and this is where the magic happens. Open it slowly to see the otters swimming in the water attached on Window Sheet strips to a central mechanism.

I got this idea from Susan Campfield and adjusted the measurements to Metric to suit out Australian cardstock. In hindsight, her measurements would have worked anyway. More of the Textured Notes dies are added inside to write your message.

There isn’t any stamping on my project, just patterned paper, coloured card and some dies!!

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Poppy Parade.
