Colour Creations: Terracotta Tile Floating Frame

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Tonight’s AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop features Terracotta Tile, the 3rd of our new 2019-2021 In Colours.

This is the Floating Frame Technique that you may have seen everywhere, as it’s been the most popular technique since earlier this year (Google it and you’ll find loads of videos on how to make them).  I was also fortunate enough to have some fellow demonstrator team mates in Auckland early for OnStage Live who were able to purchase a roll of the Glad Press & Seal product to make these projects (it’s not easy to get here in Australia).

Floating Frame technique using Stampin Up Mosaic Mood DSP by Kate Morgan Australia 2019

I decided to fussy cut all the images of a sheet of the Mosaic Mood DSP one evening during our family movie time 🙂

I love the fact that we actually get 2 cards from this technique too!

Doesn’t it look effective?! I love this technique but make sure you have time and not be in a rush. I added some rhinestones and glitter enamel dots to the spaces for some extra sparkle and interest.

This second card doesn’t have a sentiment yet, as I will add the appropriate one at the right time.

If you are going to have a go at this technique, be warned, you need to have loads of dimensionals and patience! Getting those backings off the dimensionals takes time, hehe.

The sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set, inked with Terracotta Tile.

Mosaic Mood Masterpiece

When we were in New Zealand for the Stampin’ Up! conference, OnStage Live in April, this Specialty Designer Series paper, Mosaic Mood was an all attendee give-a-way and wow, you need to see it to appreciate its beauty. It has shiny accents just like mosaic tiles and it’s super pretty.

I was so tired the other night, I had no brain power to think about stamping and designing a card, so I at down and cut up 2 of the sheets of the Mosaic Mood paper into all the flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds to use later when I was ready and this is what I came up with.

Mosaic Mood & Woven Heirlooms Birthday card, Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan

I embossed the Blushing Bride base card front with the Subtles Dynamic TIEF and then die cut the window with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies in Very Vanilla cardstock. I glued the flower image to the centre of the card and placed the frame over the top with Foam Adhesive Strips for height.

Mosaic Mood & Woven Heirlooms Birthday card, Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan.

I stamped the sentiments in the new Terracotta Tile ink as it coordinates with this DSP!

I placed some more flowers that were cut from the edges of the paper and placed them in the corner. Make sure you don’t waste them by throwing them out, thinking they are not complete images, they are perfect for this reason!!!

How gorgeous is this font of the Woven Heirlooms stamp set?

Will you be adding this paper to your next order?

Colour Creations: Daisies in Pretty Peacock

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

So today I am featuring Pretty Peacock, and what a stunning colour it is. I have used it with Very Vanilla, the 2019-2021 In Colour 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Daisy Lane stamp set. This also coordinates with the Daisy punch and a new Medium Daisy punch is also available now, but of course mine hasn’t arrived yet, so I fussy cut the small daisy images for now!

I used my bone folder to give the petals more dimension, gently curling them up.

Do you notice that gorgeous new In Colour scalloped linen ribbon too? It’s so gorgeous. I also love the font of the sentiment and how cleanly it stamped. WOW! The new Stitched Nested Label dies are a great addition to your die cutting collection.

The stems was stamped on Pretty Peacock cardstock in the same ink and fussy cut.

Are you going to add the Daisy Lane stamp set to your order? You should, it is amazing and can be used for so many different projects.

Free as a Bird

Now you’ve had a couple of days to look through the catalogue, what are your must have items? Any of the ones I shared with you on Tuesday?

I am loving the Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards & Tin. Here I have used it with some of the Bird Ballad Designer Series paper behind the laser cut card.

Bird Ballad Suite & Laser Cut Tin, Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan

Then I stamped the image & sentiment onto whisper white card and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends markers before die cutting with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

I placed some Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon behind the die cut and adhered them to the card with dimensionals.

Bird Ballad Suite & Laser Cut Tin Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan.

How gorgeous is this bird image? I stamped quite a few one day and then on a Saturday night, usually it’s family movie night in our house, and I wasn’t so interested in watching their choice of movie, so I sat with them and coloured the images. Great use of time I reckon!!!

Will you be adding any of these products to your collection?

Colour Creations: Daisy Lane in Rococo Rose

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

I’m a little sad that our AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop has finished, but never fear, we are going to continue for the another 5 weeks showcasing the 5 new In Colours!!!

So tonight we are starting with Rococo Rose, and at this stage I think this one is my favourite colour.

I am loving the Daisy Lane stamp set and I have paired it with loads of new product from the Annual catalogue which started today!!! Yay!!!

My card base is Rococo Rose cardstock with a layer of Whisper White embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.

The 2019-2021 In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack is awesome for creating cards and here I have used it by cutting it out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch in each of the designs in the 6″ x 6″ paper stack. The Scalloped Linen Thread is super pretty and I just had to add it to my card.

Daisy Lane in Rococo Rose Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan.JPG

The daisy is stamped twice in Rococo Rose ink on the same colour cardstock and punched out using the Daisy punch. I joined them together with Tombo Multipurpose glue and used the bone folder to gently curl the petals for a more realistic look. That gorgeous iced rhinestone in the centre is retired unfortunately, but I love it. The stem was stamped in Crumb Cake ink on whisper white card and fussy cut.

Daisy Lane in Rococo Rose Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan.

Don’t forget the add some stamped images and/or DSP to the inside of your card!

What do you think of Rococo Rose as a colour? Which is your new favourite In Colour?

Colour Creations: Tranquil Tide with Cling Wrap Technique

9bdc0-34343751_10157403755198098_7101250458500464640_o

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 50th and final Stampin’ Up! colour; Tranquil Tide.  I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this blog hop each week and thank Catherine for coordinating it all year long! xx

This card uses the Cling Wrap technique and the Rooted in Nature Suite of products.

The cling wrap technique is using some cling wrap or even an old plastic bag from the supermarket, scrunch it up and drab it into an inkpad and then dab onto the cardstock. Repeat this process with a couple of other colours. I have used Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana & Soft Sea Foam onto a small piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Once I had the coverage I wanted, I stamped the image & sentiment in Black ink.

Rooted in Nature for Colour Creations Tranquil Tide Blog Hop by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2019..

Then I placed the card into my Stampin’ Trimmer and cut it on the diagonal. No special measurement, just sliced it twice. I glued it onto some tranquil tide card leaving a small gap between each section, before mounting onto some black cardstock. Doesn’t it give a great effect?!!!

The 1/2″ Woven Ribbon (retired) was the perfect addition for my Tranquil Tide card.

The card base is Basic Black with a layer of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper.

Once the card was finished, I added some Wink of Stella (my favourite product!) over the tree image and added a couple of rhinestones.

On the inside I had to add a layer of tranquil tide then some whisper white to be able to write on. It looked a little plain, so I added a small strip of the same DSP.

AWH Blog Hop featuring new Annual Catalogue items!!

Blog Hop May 2019.jpg

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative products using supplies from the upcoming 2019 – 2020 annual catalogue. If you would like a copy of the brand new annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from the talented, Kimberly Hern. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links. Now let’s get started!

Tonight I am focusing on the Floral Essence Bundle: Floral Essence Stamp Set & Perennial Flower Punch. I am also using the coordinating Perennial Essence DSP, Perennial Essence 12″x 12″ Vellum & Perennial Essence Floral Centers.

Would you believe, the Leaf Punch also coordinates perfectly with this stamp set!!!

I got out 1 sheet of each design of the DSP and cut each one up into 6 equal pieces measuring 10cm x 14.3cm, so I could make the most of the stunning Monet inspired designs.

I made all of these cards to gift to my mum for Mother’s Day. She just loves receiving my cards to use for her own gifts.

This first card I used a base of Petal Pink and created the frame using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I adhered it using the Foam Adhesive Strips. I stamped the flower and leaves on the vellum and punched them out. A tip with stamping on the vellum: there is a smooth side and slightly rougher side. Make sure you stamp on the rough side for better results.

The flower I also used my stylus tip of the Take Your Pick Tool to create the white lines, resting it on the Pierce Mat.

Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss & Petal Pink feature in this one and those flowers were stamped and fussy cut.

This card uses Blueberry Bushel and I think it is my favourite of all of these. Pity I couldn’t find my Embossing Buddy before I stamped and embossed the sentiment 😦

Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry features with a Versamark stamped sentiment which is heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow

Here are some of those flowers close up. How cute are those fluffy floral centers?!!!

You may think these cards are fairly simple, but I sure didn’t want to cover up that stunning DSP!

I have one more card using a few of the new 2019-2021 In Colours. Here I stamped off the larger solid flower in Seaside Spray, then stamped the smaller flower over the top in full strength with Rococo Rose for the centres. The leaves are stamped off in Pretty Peacock ink and then I used the Wink of Stella to colour them, lightly blending some of the ink colour. The 1/2″ scallop Line Ribbon in Rococo Rose was wrapped across the front. I folded some extra ribbon into a flower shape and added a Perennial Essence Center on top.

Petal Promenade Gift Bag

Hi crafters,

This small gift bag is made using a piece of 6″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, inspired by Ronda Wade in the US. She has the most amazing projects on her facebook live page.

I have used the stunning Petal Promenade DSP and fastened it with a tiny paperclip with a big bow tied to it. Inside, I bought my lovely friend some earrings for her birthday and this was the perfect gift wrapping!

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 48th colour; Soft Sea Foam. Wow, only a couple more weeks to go!

I’m using the Note cards & Envelopes for this card, with the lovely Wood Textures DSP which will be retiring shortly, so if you love it too, you need to get it now before it’s gone.

This stamp set from the Occasions catalogue, Let it Ride will be carrying over into the new Annual catalogue and it’s a beauty!

I glued the Wood Textures DSP to the front of the Note card and the flap of the envelope.

Let it Ride for Colour Creations Soft Sea Foam Blog Hop by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2019..JPG

I started with a piece of 2.5″ x 3.5″ white card and stamped the images in Memento Black ink. I used a sponge dauber to add the sky (Balmy Blue) and the grass (Soft Sea Foam). The horse was coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Once it was all coloured, I rubbed all 4 edges along the Versamark inkpad and added Gold Emboss powder before heat setting it. If you follow my blog, you will notice I use this technique quite a bit, I just love the look!

Let it Ride for Colour Creations Soft Sea Foam Blog Hop by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2019

I then mounted it onto some Soft Sea Foam card and glued it onto the note card. I stamped the trees on the back of the envelope and on the inside of the card.
