Some of my favourite products are:

Dove of Hope Bundle – I think this one is a great bundle for our current COVID situation to give hope to all. We are currently in Stage 4 lock-down in Melbourne, we have a curfew of not being out after 8pm and only allowed out to exercise for 1 hour per day. So this bundle gave me comfort and I will be using it heaps.

Fancy Fold Christmas card and the New Aug-Dec Mini catalogue is now live!

Today is the day for the new 2020 August-December Mini catalogue becoming available and you can now grab all those amazing Christmas products! Click the image to download a PDF copy of the catalogue.

My card today is a fancy fold design using the Trimming the Town Designer Paper and the Dove of Hope Bundle.

Christmas Dove of Hope Bundle Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2020

Place the Old Olive card in the Trimmer with the 13cm side at the top and score at 2.5cm. Fold this over and burnish with a bone folder. This creates the top of the card.

For the inside of the card, take the Whisper white card and glue the 2 pieces of Designer Paper to each side, then glue to the inside of the card base. Stamp your sentiment in Old Olive ink.

For the front of the card, place the Poppy Parade piece on the inside in the centre and line it up with the bottom of the card. Holding it carefully in place, add some glue to the top only and fold down the Old Olive flap. Now you can add the Designer Paper (I sponged the edges with Poppy Parade ink).

Die cut the pieces of the dove in Whisper White card and glue a small section so the filigree part of the wings sits up a little and is not glued down. Place dimensionals on the back and adhere it to the card. On a small piece of white card, stamp the bauble in Versamark ink, add White Emboss Powder and heat set it. Colour the bauble with Water Painters and ink pads before cutting it out with scissors and gluing it to the card.

Add 3 small rhinestones to the bauble and tie some white ribbon around the top flap and tie in a bow. I placed a glue dot behind the bow to hold it in place.

Measurements:
Old Olive card base – 14.8cm x 13cm
Whisper White card (inside) – 14.3cm x 10cm
Designer Paper (inside) – 10cm x 2.5cm (2 pieces)
Poppy Parade card – 10.3cm x 9.5cm
Designer Paper (front) – 9cm x 7.2cm

Cherish the Season in 2020

Oh how I love these Christmas bells!!! The Cherish the Season Bundle includes the Cherish the Season stamp set and coordinating Sounds of the Season dies. Purchase as a bundle saves you 10%.

My background paper is from the 2020-2022 In Colour 6×6 paper pack with a white Stitched Rectangle die cut placed in the centre. The bells are two different sizes; the centre one is slightly larger than the other two. Once these were die cut, I added a little bit of Adhesive sheet to the back to place the holly and berries.

I cut the bells again in Just Jade card and Magenta Madness card, so I could remove the holly and berries and glue them into the silver foil bells. The two smaller bells are adhered with Mulitpurpose Adhesive Glue and the larger centre bell is adhered to the card with dimensionsls.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, Silver Emboss Powder added and set with the Heat Tool, before fussy cutting and adding it with Mini Dimensionals. Three bows are tied in Misty Moonlight Ribbon and adhered with Mulitpurpose Adhesive Glue. To finish off I added a few Blue Gems, which are stunning!

Welcome to our first Heart of Christmas with the Art with Heart Team. Each month we will share Christmas inspiration with you using current Stampin’ Up! products. Make sure you “Follow my Blog” by entering your email address to the right of this screen, so you don’t miss out on seeing my posts!

The 2020 August-December Mini Catalogue will be available to customers early in August, but as a demonstrator, we get an extra month early to order before anyone else. So tonight I am sharing some of the new products I have had fun creating with!

The colours I will be using in tonight’s projects are:

Balmy Blue Misty Moonlight Old Olive White

For my first two cards, I am using only the Designer Paper, no stamping, die cutting or embossing! Two very quick and simple cards using this amazing paper. The designs definitely need little else added to create fantastic Christmas cards. The sentiment is another full sheet of small sentiments and I simply cut the sentiments apart and added then to the card with mini dimensionals. Some of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems have been used on each of my cards tonight.

This next card uses the Stamparatus to line up the trees for super easy stamping. The top row of trees were stamped 3 times each before moving the plate on the stamparatus across 2 notches and stamping again. The bottom row was stamped once each to get that look of depth. Some of the coordinating dies were used at the bottom for the snow hills. The sentiment was placed on the clear block and because they are photopolymer, they can be curved on the block to go with the curve of the snow.

Have I said how much I love this designer paper?!! The patterns are so beautiful and this card shows off another two of the designs perfectly. The one behind the tree has a diagonal pattern and I thought it was perfect, like the tinsel wrapped around the tree!

This final card tonight is similar to the previous one, although I have placed some Balmy Blue Glimmer paper behind the die cut image and a small strip across the centre. I also used the new embossing folder on the Balmy Blue panel.

Arrange a Wreath this Christmas

Can you believe it is July already? Where has this year gone?!

Tonight you may not quite be ready for what I am about to share with you, but I have my first Christmas card!

I know it is always a panic towards the end of the year, to be ready for Christmas, as it comes around so fast when we are super busy. I start in July and make one or two cards a week, so by the time 1 December comes, I have a nice little stash of cards to send out in the post.

Anyway here goes!

I using the Arrange a Wreath Bundle from the 2020-21 Annual catalogue and it’s a beauty. I have created a square card with a layer of the new In Color, Just Jade textured with the Greenery embossing folder, love it. Then a layer of designer paper from the Flowers for Every Season paper pack.

The wreath is die cut in Just Jade and the flowers in Poppy Parade to coordinate with the designer paper. The signage is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and the sentiment in Black ink. I attached some Linen Thread so it is hanging from the wreath and added a little bow at the top. These die cut elements are added with dimensionals for that real wreath effect.

Merry Christmas with a twist!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration yesterday and you were able to have a quieter day today to recover!

Tonight I have another sneak peek for you with the Country Club Suite available in the new Mini Catalogue starting on 3 January 2020!!!

My parents have been very keen golfers for many years and all my Dad wanted for Christmas was a handmade card. So, when this suite arrived just before Christmas, I knew I had to use it, but with a twist to make it a Christmas card.

No the tees, golf balls and grass are not upside down LOL, they were deliberately placed like this to look like Christmas baubles hanging down from some greenery!!!

See those golf balls? They are wood elements and I embossed them! Yes, I ran them through my machine using the large golf ball die to get those dimples on the balls!!! Give it a go, the outcome is so cool.

Colours: Garden Green, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy

On the inside, I carried the theme through and added the golf image by colouring it with Stampin’ Write Markers direct to the stamp to get the colouring of the grass, tee and ball!

Brightly Gleaming Ornaments meet a Product Medley!

How are coping with the silly season? I am finding it super busy and so tonight I have a very quick and easy card for you!

I love how we can mix and match so many of our products and they still work – the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley meets Brightly Gleaming Ornaments!

This card is super simple, but I love how these ornaments shine above the background. The Real Red ribbons I have used are retired product, but how good do they look? The 1/8″ ribbon that the ornaments are hanging from is added with a glue dot behind each ornament and folded over the top of the white/gold star layer before gluing it to the card. The thicker red ribbon is wrapped around the card and tied in a bow.

The ornament punches are used with the Designer paper and again with a little gold foil for the top of each one. Then they are added with dimensionals for some height.

This card was made in about 5 minutes, but looks a million dollars!!! 😉

Yikes, only two weeks until Christmas Day 😲 🎄🎁

Have you finished your Christmas cards yet? I have already got mine in the mail, but I still have a couple left to do for people nearby. Thank goodness for the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley to make is super easy!

I adore this paper of the deer with their gold foil antlers, and I didn’t want to cover it up or cut into it too much; it needs to shine!

The Stitched Nested Label dies in Gold Foil added enough glitz with the Starburst circle on top and the deer sticker. The tinsel behind these elements adds the extra Christmas sparkle.

This one is a simple design with the layered circles in foil, designer paper and embossed card for added interest. The tree with those gorgeous gold stars finishes it off nicely.

I really love the richness of this card and the pop of colour of the featured rose.

Peachy tones for Christmas time

Tonight I am sharing the Christmastime is Here Suite, only available while stocks last, so make sure you add it to your cart now if you are thinking of purchasing it. My card tonight is not so Chrismassy though and I wanted to show you that it can be used for other occasions!

This Christmas Rose stamp set (#153944) and coordinating Roses dies (#152431) are available as a bundle saving 10% (#153947) or individually.

I deliberately haven’t added a sentiment to this card, as I was experimenting with different colours. I used to love the Just Joey roses at my mums house as they were this very soft peachy pink colour. I have used Petal Pink for mine.

Can you see all the glitter on the roses? It’s a little hard to see in the photo, but when I was adding the Wink of Stella to the purple berries and the pine cones, my Wink of Stella got flowing a bit too quickly and I ended up with glitter on my fingers. So I just rubbed my fingers over the rose petals! I love the soft effect it adds.
