Week 34 – Night of Navy

This handmade sympathy card features the Peace on Earth bundle and the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) in a very easy fun fold design. The narrow panel on the right folds back to open the card, with the circle feature holding the card closed. This fold is so versatile to use with any of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Designer Serie Papers.

How you can re-create this card

1. Create the base – a Night of Navy card base, 19.4cm x 14.9cm, scored @ 8.5cm and 16.8cm.

2. Designer Paper – 14.4cmx 8cm (2), 14.4cm x 2cm. Adhere the strip to the right hand panel and the other two pieces to the front and inside left of the card.

3. Basic White – 14.4cm x 8cm, adhere inside for your message. Die cut the dove to adhere to the circle feature.

4. Night of Navy – 8cm x 2cm for the front and a circle for the feature element. This is die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies. To adhere this to the narrow panel by adding 3 Dimensionals in a row only to the right hand side (back) of the circle.

5. Finishing touches – Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Basic White card and fussy cut. Adhere to the Navy strip on the front of the card. Die cut a couple of the branches from the Glimmer paper and adhere as shown. Add some Hues of Blue Flowers.

The Party Alphabet dies are perfect for celebrating a new baby into the world and how cute is this one?!!!

Wendy Lee, a demonstrator in the USA, shared one and I just had to case it. I used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder for mine, along with the Flower Garden Foils Specialty Paper for the shadow/eclipse effect. These papers are in the last chance section of the online store. The little bear is from the Valentine Kisses bundle.

Valentine Kisses to start the New Year!

Happy New Year 🎆

While we await the release of the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalogue on 6th January, I thought I’d start the new year featuring the Valentine Kisses bundle. It has the cutest bears to colour and this one is done with Blends Combo Markers; Ivory & Crumb Cake, then adding fur using Pecan Pie & Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils.

The background patterned paper is from the Brushed with Beauty DSP and I added some Gold Metallic Enamel Effects to the centres. The large Lovely Doilies is cut in half and adhered to the left side. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink using the 12 Days of Christmas stamp set, part of the 2025 Advent Calendar. This is cut using the Three Banner Punch.

The flowers are stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured in Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia, Lost Lagoon & Blue. A Linen Thread bow is added.

Mossy Meadow: Sneak Peek – ‘Simply Beautiful’ card

Week 33 – Mossy Meadow

This handmade card features a sneak peek of some new products arriving in January, the Simply Beautiful dies and the Beautifully Adorned Ephemera Pack.

The Mossy Meadow background layer is dry embossed with the Gathering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. Before adhering it to a Thick White card base, I wrapped some new White with Gold Ribbon around it.

The leaves are die cut from Granny Apple Green & Mossy Meadow cardstock and the flowers in Pretty in Pink & Petunia Pop cardstock and the stamen in Gold Foil. Each of these layers has some ink blending using Blending Brushes and the coordinating ink colours, then each layer glued together.

The leaves I spritzed with some water then dabbed with a tissue to get that water effect.

The flowers were adhered to the card first, then the leaves popped underneath. I added a big splatter of Wink of Stella across the entire card and put it aside to dry.

The vellum tag is from the Ephemera pack and is stamped in Versamark ink, Gold WOW Emboss Powder added then melted with my Heat Tool. I added some Tear & Tape just under the top of the tag (behind the gold) so you don’t see the glue. Finally some Pearilsed Faceted Circles were dotted around.

Misty Moonlight: Peaceful Garden Sympathy card

Week 32 – Misty Moonlight

This handmade card features the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) and some soon to be released in January, Beautifully Celebrated dies.

This card is cased from Kathy Ellerbusch Alt, who showed how to create one in a recent ‘live’ on Facebook using the newly released Product of the Month (POM) True Blue Florals DSP. More details below.

Measurements

Misty Moonlight card base: 21cm x 14.8cm, scored @ 10.5cm
Cloud Cover: 14.3cm x 10cm
Designer Series Paper: 14cm x 6cm (centre), 14cm x 4.5cm (2, one each side), 14cm x 2cm (inside)
Basic White: 14.3cm x 10cm (inside)

How you can re-create this card

Score and fold the card base.
Adhere the insert inside with the strip of DSP on the right hand side.
Adhere the Cloud Cover layer to the card base.
Adhere the 14cm x 6cm DSP to the centre of the card.
Take the 14cm x 4.5cm DSP and add adhesive to one side only. The left piece has adhesive only on the left and the opposite on the other side.
Fold back the inside corners of the DSP. Starting with the top left, start the crease from the edge of the DSP underneath (centre piece). Once you have this one done, you can repeat on the others to mimic the first one.
Die cut the two labels and the glitter leaves. The centre label I added the smaller label on top and ran through my embossing machine with the Silicone Craft Sheet to get the embossing.
Stamp the sentiment.
Using a blending brush, add ink to the edges of each label.
Adhere the labels together then add Dimensionals on the back and adhere it the centre of the card. I also placed a mini dimensional under each of the DSP corner folds to hold them in place.
Add the embellishments.

Peaceful Garden Accordian Fold card

This handmade card features the Peace on Earth bundle and Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper.

Start with a Cloud Cover card base, 29.7cm x 10.5cm, scored @ 14.8cm. Dry emboss the card front with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder. Die cut a Basic White label, stamp the sentiment [Traditional Labels stamp set] in Misty Moonlight ink and again in Cloud Cover ink but slighty offset to create a shadow effect. Adhere it to the card. Die cut the doves and envelopes in Basic White and the branch is cut from some Peaceful Garden Glimmer.

As you open the card you see this amazing accordian patterned paper unfold.

To create this, start with a piece of DSP 25.5cm x 10cm and score at 8cm, 10.5cm, 13cm, 15.5cm, 18cm, 20.5cm & 23cm.

Glue the left panel in place, fold up the accordian section, holding it tight, add glue to the final panel, and fold the back of the card closed onto the front. Hold it for a few seconds to dry then you can add the Basic White panel [10cm x 5.7cm] to the inside.

Add a sentiment to one of the folds; I’ve added one from the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

I was inspired by Laura of Southridge Studios and I wanted to create my own with metric measurements.

Melon Mambo:Extraordinary Flora with a handy scoring tip!

Week 31 – Melon Mambo

These handmade cards feature the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and coordinating Extraordinary Flora die. The Everyday Arches dies also feature, but I’ll explain how shortly.

The Washi Tape is big, bright, and beautiful! It is 3¼” (8.3cm) wide and features a gorgeous pattern of watercolour florals and botanical images. The design alternates from pink and purple variations of the same pattern. I added the washi tape to some Basic White card then die cut them.

My Thick Basic White card bases have a layer of Melon Mambo added. The next layer is Basic White and I placed it onto my Simply Scored with one of the Everyday Arches dies sitting on top. Carefully holding the die in place, use the smaller tip of the stylis and score the lines to the width of the die.

I adhered this layer to the card then arranged the washi tape die cut pieces, some glued and some on Mini Dimensionals.

The sentiment [Beautiful Butterflies stamp set] on card 1 was stamped on Melon Mambo card in Versamark ink, White Wow emboss powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. The ends were cut using the Three Banner Punch. Card 2s sentiment is from the Banner Sayings stamp set and punched with the Three Banner Punch.

White Baker’s Twine bows and Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins & Iridescent Pearls were added.

Traditions of Chrismas Split Panel layout card

This handmade card features the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. I think this is such a cool layout, it may just become a go to in the future!!!

How you can re-create this card

1. Create the base – a Bubble Bath card base, 21cm x 14.9cm, scored @ 10.5cm.

2. Layer – a piece of DSP [12.3cm x 8cm] is glued to a matt layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock [12.8cm x 8.5cm]. Place in your trimmer and line up the left corners at 2.5cm and 5cm as shown below and cut. You place the smaller side to the right side of your card base and the larger panel to the left side of the card base.

3. Add the sentiment – Stamp the sentiment [Traditional Labels stamp set] in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes die cut circle. Die cut another circle one size bigger in Gold Foil to place behind the sentiment one. These are added to the card on Dimensionals.

4. Embellish – the two floral images are fussy cut from the DSP and adhered to the sentiment feature. Some Traditional Sparkling Sequins are added for sparkle.

I was inspired by Creative Juice by Loni and I wanted to create my own with metric measurements.

Lost Lagoon: Sunflowers Black Out Embossing Technique

Week 30 – Lost Lagoon

This handmade card features the Sunflowers 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and some die sets; Branching Out and Party Alphabet.

After embossing a piece of Basic White cardstock, turn it over and colour the debossed side with your Darling Duckling, Lost Lagoon and Pecan Pie markers. Take the Secret Sea inkpad and gently drag it across the entire surface to create the black out, then sit it aside to dry. Doesn’t it make those flowers pop?!!!

This piece is mounted onto some Brushed Metallic cardstock then onto a Lost Lagoon card base. A label is diecut from Lost Lagoon card using the Branching Out dies and the ‘H’ ‘B’ is diecut from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper using the Party Alphabet dies. The sentiment is from the new Banner Sayings Bundle, comprising a stamp set and the Three Banner Punch.

On the inside, I added more of the Branching Out cut dies to frame the message panel and added the greenery which is part of the dies pack. These are covered in Wink of Stella so the are glittery!

Heart of Christmas 13: Quick & Easy last minute Christmas cards

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 13

These handmade cards feature the Traditional Labels Bundle and the stunning Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. As you may have noticed, it has been my most favourite paper this year!

A LITTLE ‘WHY’ ABOUT THESE CARD
As the Christmas season fast approaches, these cards are quick to make with little fuss. Honing in on the beauty of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Paper add a sentiment, and you can make lots of these in minutes!

A piece of Designer Series paper covers the entire card front with two labels adhered. The sentiment is stamped onto the Basic White die cut label in the coordinating colour; Secret Sea. A Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon bow is added on a Glue Dot.

This card has some Pool Party ink blending applied with a Blending Brush directly on the card base. I used some leftover strips of the patterned paper. It is the same piece of paper, I just flipped over every second one to reveal the reverse pattern. The label on this one is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and is adhered on Dimensionals. Some Traditional Sparkling Sequins are added.

This final card is a 15cm x 15cm card. The front is dry embossed with the Traditional Wreath 3D Folder. The DSP is cut using the Stylish Shapes dies and the Gold Foil ribbon is from the Christmas Greenery dies with a small piece of Gold Thread. The sentiment is one of the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and is added on Dimensionals.
